  • Patent number: 11142424
Abstract: A sheet conveying apparatus includes a sheet conveying path, conveying members, a switching unit, a receiving unit, and a control unit. The sheet conveying path includes a first conveying path and a second conveying path having a conveying load for a sheet larger than the first conveying path. The switching unit selectively switches the sheet conveying path between the first conveying path and the second conveying path. The control unit determines whether the sheets are first sheets or second sheets thicker than the first sheets, based on sheet thickness information received by the receiving unit. If the sheets are the first sheets, the switching unit switches the sheet conveying path between the first conveying path and the second conveying path alternately. If the sheets are the second sheets, the switching unit switches to fix the sheet conveying path to the first conveying path.

  • Patent number: 8075367
Abstract: The absorbent pad for an underwire brassiere includes a sealed cover layer having opposed first and second surfaces and defining an open interior region therein. The first surface is porous, allowing for passage of perspiration into the open interior region. An absorbent layer is positioned within the open interior region of the sealed cover layer, and the absorbent layer is formed from a hydrophilic material. An adhesive layer is formed on the second surface of the sealed cover layer, so that the adhesive layer releasably adheres the absorbent pad to a lower edge of one cup of the underwire brassiere. The absorbent pad is dimensioned and configured to completely cover an underwire of the cup so that the absorbent pad absorbs perspiration of the wearer and provides protective padding over the underwire.

  • Publication number: 20040221354
Abstract: 9A method of combating the undesirable effects of perspiration from the armpit area of an individual is provided in which a removable absorbent pad is attached to a garment of clothing in each armpit area of the garment. The absorbent pad preferably has an absorbent layer adapted to be operatively directed outwards away from an associated garment towards the armpit in use; a waterproof layer adapted to be positioned between the absorbent layer and the garment; and fixing means provided on the side of the waterproof layer remote from the absorbent layer. Preferably the fixing means is a layer of fixing material that may be either an adhesive material adapted to simply adhere to the fabric of a garment with which it is to be associated or, alternatively, releasable fastener means such as hook and loop type fasteners. The absorbent pad is made either to be disposable or reusable after cleaning.
