Abstract: A cradle that includes a maternity band, a support structure attached to the maternity band, and one or more straps attached the support structure, wherein the one or more straps include at least one top strap and at least one bottom strap. The method for using the cradle includes disposing a cradle over a midsection of a person, positioning the at least one top strap below the midsection, securing the at least one top strap to a first connection on the maternity band, positioning the at least one bottom strap above the midsection, and securing the at least one bottom strap to a second connection on the maternity band.

Abstract: A bra includes an adjustable body strap that has a rear portion with first and second coupling features disposed on a single side thereof, and first and second support straps that are respectively coupled at one end to the rear portion of the body strap. Each of the first and second support straps includes a fastening material, first and second fabric materials, and a flexibly resilient material. The first fabric, the flexibly resilient material, the second fabric, and the fastening material are integrally formed to define a laminated support strap of each of the first and second support straps.

Abstract: A combination nursing article includes a first piece and a second piece. The first piece may include an upper portion, a lower portion, and an empire waist between the upper and lower portions. The upper portion may include an upper inner layer configured to extend around a bust of a wearer. The second piece may include an upper outer layer configured to be worn as a camisole bra over the upper inner layer. The second piece may also include an elastomeric band configured to extend over the first piece, below breasts and around a torso of the wearer. When worn, a lower edge of the second piece is configured to be lifted and pulled upwardly to expose an upper edge of the upper inner portion and the upper edge of the upper inner portion is configured to be pulled downwardly to expose a nipple for nursing.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a multi-layered design for an article of apparel such as swimwear. In particular, at least one layer may include a stretch resistant matrix made of a thermoplastic polymer, a silicone or other similar material to provide additional support and modesty to certain areas of the apparel, such as the bust area. Further, a method of manufacturing the article of apparel is also disclosed. According to aspects described herein, the layers may be integrated using techniques to increase the overall integrity of the apparel.

The brassiere is configured to receive a funnel within the nook and the opening in a stretched state to allow the funnel to be inserted under the inner layer and within the nook and the opening, such that the funnel is supported against a nipple by the lateral edge and the inner edge for hands free pumping.

The first and second fabric portions may be laterally adjacent each other or spaced apart. The first adhesive layer provides a first compressive strength to the first fabric portions of the inner and outer fabrics when bonded there between, and the second adhesive layer provides a second compressive strength to the second fabric portions of the inner and outer fabrics when bonded there between. In certain implementations, the first compressive strength is greater than the second compressive strength.

Abstract: A medical undergarment system effective for supporting an ostomy system consists of a first diagonal catheter channel, a second diagonal catheter channel, a first vertical catheter channel, and a second vertical catheter channel. The system consists of tubing, a base undergarment, and a fluid bag. The medical undergarment system provides a comfortable yet stable ostomy system that can easily be slipped on and off by a user. The system enables convenient and easy removal of bodily fluid when using a catheter.

Abstract: The present invention provides a device for use in magnetic resonance imaging of a woman's breasts. The device has breast-supporting cups that comprise an enhanced fat saturation material to facilitate fat suppression during imaging. Significantly, the wearer can put the device on and position it with little or no assistance and without loss of dignity due to manipulation by a technician.

Abstract: An adjustable incubator/crib infant positioning blanket for holding a premature baby securely in an incubator. The blanket includes a pouch to securely hold the baby with its head in an upright position on an inclined plane such as a raised mattress and the blanket is secured to the mattress by a strap. The pouch securely prevents the baby from rolling or sliding toward the bottom of the inclined mattress.

Abstract: A configurable supportive protection system and methods comprising a sizeable support element and a coverage element that provide support and protection to human body parts. Advantageously, the system is quickly and easily configurable to allow body parts having different sizes to be supported. The aqueous polyurethane dispersions are provided in solvent-free systems of a prepolymer comprising at least one polyether or polyester polyol, a mixture of MDI isomers, and a diol. The adhesive films from such dispersions can be heat-activated for bonding, lamination, and adhesion of textile fabrics, including stretch fabrics.

The laminate and garment include a sheet of synthetic rubber and one or more fabric layers laminated to the sheet of synthetic rubber. A process for making an elastomeric laminate is also provided. The process includes cutting a plurality of apertures in an elastomeric sheet of foamed synthetic rubber to define an apertured elastomeric sheet and laminating a first fabric layer to a first side of the apertured elastomeric sheet.

The present invention shows a faux camisole that is attached to the straps of a brassiere worn by the woman, a torso strap holds the bottom of the faux camisole in place.

Stabilized tricot may be included as part of the laminate. The use of the simplex layer instead of the foam layer results in a material which provides a similar smoothing effect as foam but which has a lower tendency to crease or ride up when the wearer bends down or bends over. Thong portions snap together and use a powernet fabric to stretch the garment over the body and hold the garment down at the waist when it is worn to provide a smooth look. Foam cushions are also provided at strategic places to reduce the pressure caused by flexible wires or bones used to provide additional support to keep the bones from digging into the rib cage and provide more comfort to the bodysuit undergarment. A small, vertically extending bone is placed between the cups for additional support and to keep the cup support wires centered.

Abstract: This invention provides women's apparel having a unique and improved maternity and/or nursing breast support and enables the wearer to comfortably unsecure and secure a flap on a bra cup upon completion of nursing. The main inventive feature is a dynamic non-continuous or hanging bra support system made with a plurality of fabric members triangular in shape to allow a sizeable opening in each brassiere cup. The fabric members in each cup are joined at the upper end and create vertically oriented openings for maximum breast exposure that allow access to the breast and at the same time leave room for expansion of the breasts. The upper edges of the triangular cups are diagonally oriented, and the cups are attached only partially, at the lower portion to narrow regions of a stretchable band and/or laterally, to the side, thus providing flexibility, support and comfort for the wearer.

Abstract: Feminine undergarments, particularly brassieres and other body shaping garments that are fabricated using a multi-layered fabric laminate that is formed by gluing multiple fabric layers together, preferably to permit body shaping garments to be substantially fabricated from a single main piece of material or blank cut from the multi-layered fabric laminate and which has finished edges which do not require separate binding or narrow edge finishing, together with a method of making such garments, both on an individual, batch basis, as well as an automated process for making the fabric laminate and multiple garments on a continuous basis, are disclosed. Multi-layer composite fabric laminate materials wherein different portions of at least one fabric layer thereof are made of different fabrics, and a method for making them, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A fastening system for an article of apparel, advantageously a bra, including first and second coupling members attached to ends of a hemband. The coupling members are movable between an engaged or locked state when the bra is worn and a disengaged state to remove the bra. The coupling members are integrally molded and each includes a stitch plate and a plurality of locking members. The locking members on one coupling member are hooks while the other are loops. The coupling members have a flex groove formed therein between their locking members to make the coupling members more flexible. The flex groove may optimally extend across the stitch plates to further enhance flexibility. The ends of the hooks are angularly displaced from their stitch plates. This raises the interlocking locking portions away from the back of the wearer to increase comfort. Additionally, the hooks include opposed angled guide surfaces. The opposed angled guide surfaces each have a parallel guide surface on an adjacent hook.

Abstract: The invention is an improved process for promoting bonding between parent and infant. The invention is also a garment for use with this process. The garment is a shirt made from scent-absorbing fabric. The shirt's sleeves and torso portion are secured together using hook and loop fasteners, allowing the sleeves to be detached. The parent wears the shirt for a period of time long enough for the shirt to absorb the scent. The parent then detaches a sleeve, using it or the torso of the garment to form an infant's blanket. After wrapping the infant in the blanket, the parent can then leave the infant in the care of someone else, and the infant will still be able to smell the scent of the parent.

Undergarments that are designed for women who are missing one or both breasts may have cushioning to line area where breast is missing. The undergarment may include a flap between the folds of the breasts.

Abstract: There is provided a brassiere having a brassiere body including a torso encircling body portion having a frontal portion, side portion and a back portion, a pair of breast cups located in the front of said body portion, an area connecting said breast cups. A moisture absorbent material is positioned proximate the area between said breast cups. There is also provided a moisture absorbent material including a deodorant. The moisture absorbing material may be readily disposable.
