Abstract: An item of clothing adapted to be worn by an individual comprising a body panel and a lower end panel. The lower end panel is connected to the body panel so that the torso of the individual is disposed generally on the body panel and the lower end panel then is folded over a lower portion of the individual's torso and a right side portion of the body panel is folded over a portion of the individual's torso and attached to a portion of the body panel and a left side portion of the body panel is folded over a portion of the individual's torso and attached to the lower end panel for securing the body panel and the lower end panel assembled generally on the individual's torso. The clothing item also includes a left leg panel adapted for receiving the individual's left leg and a right leg panel adapted for receiving the individual's right leg.

Abstract: A baby bag garment is provided which comprises a tubular body portion having a front and rear body panel which is longer at its sides than at its central portion with an elastic insert panel secured to the lower ends of the front and rear panels to substantially enclose the bottom of the garment. The garment can be worn by an infant secured in an infant carrier by a three or multipoint harness safety restraint having a center strap, such that the child's legs and feet can hang comfortably on opposite sides of the center strap.

Abstract: An improved garment is disclosed having a conventional robe-type front portion and a vertically extending opening in the back portion from the collar to the hemline such that two back closing sections are defined. The back closing sections are sized to significantly overlap the full length of the back portion. Securing means are provided at the collar and shoulder area of the back portion for ready securement of the garment about an individual.

Abstract: A method for constructing a slipper sock from a sock and a flexible sole is provided. After adhering the sole to the bottom of the sock, the sock is turned inside out and then a stitch is run along the perimeter of the sock sole in order to create a uniform and aesthetically appealing seam along the raw edge of the sole when the slipper sock is turned right side out.

Abstract: Sleeper pajamas for a young child, including a garment of relatively soft and porous fleece-like cloth fabric having leg portions terminating in tubular distal ends sized for loosely surrounding the child's legs, and boot members of non-porous and wear-resistant material connected to the distal ends, each member including a sole and a counter having an instep portion overlying the sole and arranged to space the instep portion upwardly and outwardly from the child's instep and to space the top end of the counter outwardly from the leg, for relatively unhindered insertion of the foot into the member and unhindered air circulation between the member interior and leg portion interior located proximally of the distal end and surrounding the leg, while spacing the distal end sufficiently above the sole to avoid contact of the garment with a surface on which the child may walk or run.

Abstract: Two-piece unitary sleepwear comprises night garment which embraces at least the upper torso and shoulders of the wearer, usually a child, so as to cover the child for the night. The lower portion of the unitary sleepwear is a blanket which wraps around the lower torso of the child and detachably snaps to the night garment portion of the unitary sleepwear.

Abstract: An item of children's apparel includes a foot portion consisting of a sole formed of a number of layers, an intermediate layer of which is provided with a cavity or recess which houses, in the toe portion, a squeaker or other noisemaker which is involuntarily actuated by the child during normal walking when the child applies pressure to the toe portion.

Abstract: A pattern for an article of clothing such as a jacket which can be cut from a generally rectangular piece of cloth which includes a pair of foldable identical sections; each section having a lower part and an upper part, the upper part being adapted to form a sleeve and part of a collar for the article; each section being separated from the other beyond its upper end by a neck opening; the narrower lower parts being integral with the upper parts to form the body of the article except for a single cut extending across the breast area of the lower parts of the pattern to the outer end thereof; and an article of clothing made following the pattern, the article being made by folding the upper sections and sewing their extremities to the upper end of the cuts by a single seam. Cloth left over after cutting above and below the upper parts can be used to make one or more pockets, collar facing and the like.

Abstract: A garment including a pants leg having a convertible cuff at the end of the leg, the convertible cuff including bottom and top pieces of cloth material sewn together at their sides along two seams, the bottom piece having a folded-over heel portion with two folds spaced from an end thereof to provide three flat layers of overlapping cloth when not extended, whereby the convertible cuff can be neatly folded up to provide the appearance of a conventional cuff or can be unfolded and extended to provide a foot covering bent at the top piece and generally transverse to the remainder of the pants leg with the heel portion extending around the heel and providing a good fit over the heel.

Abstract: A basic garment suitable for use as a medical examination gown or for other purposes calling for apparel which may be quickly opened to fully expose the body of the wearer. The garment is fabricated from a single blank of non-woven polyester sheet material contoured to define front and rear sections having complementary sleeve portions, with a transverse fold line therebetween in the center of which is a neck opening. The front section is slit into a pair of panels that separate at the neck opening whereby when the front section is folded over the rear section and the two sections are ultrasonically seamed together at their opposing side margins, a garment is created having the desired characteristics. The front panels are releasably held together by hook and loop nylon fabric fasteners whose male components are ultrasonically-bonded to the margin of one panel and whose female components are ultrasonically-bonded to the margin of the other panel.

Abstract: A nylon stocking having a toe opening and inner and outer toe closing bands adjacent thereto, the inner band extending across the inside of the sole portion and the outer band extending over the toe portion, each band being sewn at its ends to the sides of the stocking. From a closed position, with the toes extending under the inner band, the outer band is first pulled up and over the toes toward the instep, and the inner band is then pulled up and down under the toes, leaving the toes completely uncovered for taping, massaging, or the like.

Abstract: The present hosiery article includes an anti-slip lower sole portion formed with outwardly extending loops of yarn having a high coefficient of friction, such as bare spandex, which is integrally knit with the body yarn during the knitting of the foot portion of the hosiery article. The loops of friction yarn on the outer surface of the sole portion engage the floor and minimize slippage of the foot of the wearer. This hosiery article is particularly adapted for use by bed patients and the formation of the loops of friction yarn does not unduly restrict the contraction and stretchability of the hosiery article.

Abstract: A sleeping bag has a hood back part having a pair of arm and hand portions extending from opposite sides thereof. A lower back part is affixed to and extends from the hood back part. A hood front part has a face opening therein and a pair of arm and hand portions extending from opposite sides thereof and corresponding to the arm and hand portions of the hood back and affixed to the hood back part to accommodate the head, upper chest area and arms of a user of the bag. A lower front part is affixed to and extends from the hood front part and is affixed to the lower back part to accommodate the remaining torso of a user of the bag.
