Container Has Plural Major Conductive-liquid Containing Chambers Or Spaces Connected By A Passageway Patents (Class 200/221)
  • Patent number: 6756552
Abstract: The multi-pole, conductive liquid-based switch device includes an elongate passage, a first cavity, a second cavity, at least four electrodes disposed along the length of the passage, channels that extend from the passage, non-conductive fluid located the cavities and conductive liquid located in the passage. The channels are one fewer in number than the electrodes and are interleaved with the electrodes along the length of the passage. The channels are numbered in order from one end of the passage. Odd-numbered ones of the channels extend to the first cavity while even-numbered ones of the channels extend to the second cavity.

  • Patent number: 4585190
Abstract: The compressed-gas device for the life-saving services which can be activated by water, more especially the automatic separating coupling for parachutes, comprises a channel (9) and two detector chambers (10, 11) which, via openings (12, 13), are connected to the channel (9) and, via openings (14, 15), are connected to one respective opposite outer surface (16, 17) of the device. The cross-section of the outwardly directed openings (14, 15) is larger than that of the connection openings (12, 13) to the channel (9). Only when the measuring block (2) is completely immersed in water are three pairs of electrodes (18, 19; 20, 21; 22, 23) bridged by water so that a fuel-gas charge is ignited via an electric circuit (7) with the aid of an igniter (8) (FIG. 2).

  • Patent number: 3973092
Abstract: Acceleration sensing apparatus comprises a casing having a pair of substantially perpendicular passages communicating with each other and accommodating spaced apart, normally open electrical contacts. One of the passages contains mercury which is operable to flow into the other passage in response to predetermined acceleration of the casing and bridge the conductors so as to establish a current path therebetween.
