The arrangement includes a solid flange having a cylinder which penetrates the control panel and is fixed by means of a holder. Locking bolts, arranged in the holder engage in corresponding recesses of the cylinder. Clamping bolts, screwed into the holder, support the holder against the control panel so as to effect a bracing of the solid flange with the control panel and compensate for variable thickness in the control panel.

The control cover is provided with a pair of openings therein through which screws are threaded when the control is mounted in its screw mount configuration. The material of the adapter is softer and more ductile than the material defining the screw openings in the control so that a simple press-in assembly is provided.

    Abstract: A barrier assembly includes an intermediate barrier member which is inserted from the front side of a mounting panel and a fixing barrier member which is inserted from the rear side of the panel and connected to the intermediate barrier member. After a plurality of small-sized controlling devices has been secured to the mounting panel, the intermediate barrier member is inserted into the area between each pair of adjacent controlling devices from the front side of the panel. Then, the fixing barrier member is inserted into this area from the rear side of the panel and connected to the intermediate barrier member. Thus, it is possible to prevent the intermediate barrier member from being pulled out forward of the panel and also from being withdrawn rearward of the panel by virture of the fitting engagement with the fixing barrier member. It is possible to remove the two barrier members toward the opposite directions, from which they are inserted when assembled, by disengaging them from each other.

    Abstract: A mounting plate for attachment to a wall or the like where a hole or aperture has been cut in the wall. The mounting plate comprises a generally planar base and a plurality of resilient fingers extending from one surface of the base. The fingers include a wall engaging surface facing the base to engage the back of the wall. The base has wall engaging contact areas spaced from the base and movable against a bias towards the base whereby the spacing between the wall engaging surfaces and the wall engaging contact areas is variable by movement of the wall engaging contact areas towards the base against the bias. The mounting plate in a preferred embodiment has anti-rotation means on the wall engaging contact areas to prevent movement of the mounting plate once attached to the wall.

A shoulder in the face plate for supporting the halo and enabling the exposed halo surface to enter the plane of the face plate surface is formed by metal displacement, as opposed to metal removal, enabling the required mechanical strength to be achieved with a thinner face plate.

A supporting frame is provided for holding at least one of a plurality of modularized wiring devices. The supporting frame is disposed to the rear of the panel when the supporting frame is coupled to the exposing frame. The supporting frame includes tongues arranged to be positioned to the inside of the projections of the exposing frame to elastically support the projections from being uncoupled from the panel. The modular-dimensioned wiring devices are thereby allowed to be mounted to the panel easily without screws or the like.

Thus the connector body can first be placed on the circuit board, the front panel put in position and then the front cover snapped in place to hold the whole assembly together. A rigid washer on the bolt shank is spaced slightly farther from the rear face of the bolt head than the thickness of the panel at the opening, so that normally the shank of the bolt tilts downward inside the housing. This establishes a first position of the second switch contact member, which is on the bolt shank, with respect to the first switch contact member. A person's finger pressing on the bolt head can raise the bolt shank to establish a second position of the second switch contact member.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an adapter for enabling an actuating switch, which has at least one contact section and an actuating section movably accommodating therein an actuator for actuating the contact section and which is so arranged that a first hollow cylindrical portion constituting a part of the actuating section and axially movably accommodating therein the actuator, can be directly mounted in a first hole having a first predetermined inner diameter and previously formed in a panel, to be mounted through the adapter in a second hole having a second predetermined inner diameter and previously formed in the same or another panel. The adapter comprises a first engaging device for engaging with the actuating section and a second engaging device for engaging with the panel through the second hole.
