A screw shaft that configures a ball screw, a motor that rotates the screw shaft, a nut that is screwed onto the screw shaft, a clutch that is disposed on the screw shaft, and a select lever that is integrated with the screw shaft by switching on the clutch, and has restraint cancelled with respect to the screw shaft by switching off the clutch are included, one end of a main lever is engaged with the nut, the other end is engaged or connected with a shaft, and the select lever is engaged with the main lever.
Abstract: An AC generator slip ring device including a shaft supported by a front and rear bracket, and a rotor on the inner circumferential side of a stator; a sleeve fixed to an end portion on the rear bracket side of the shaft; and a conductive ring retained on the outer circumferential side of the sleeve. The device also includes a partition ring on the outer circumferential side of the sleeve having one end portion fixed to the rear bracket and the other end portion has a first flange projected in the outer diameter direction; a second flange provided on the side opposite to the rear bracket of the sleeve, having an annular wall with a concave portion, the end surface of the annular wall opposing the first flange of the partition ring; and a flat portion formed on an outer circumferential portion of the annular wall of the second flange.
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a filter may comprise a housing, a filter medium positioned within the housing, the filter medium having an operational life related to an amount of fluid passed through the filter medium, and a one-bit memory element coupled to the housing, the one-bit memory having a first state that indicates that the operational life of the filter medium has not expired and having a second state that indicates that the operational life of the filter medium has expired. The one-bit memory element may be illustratively embodied as a fusible link.
Abstract: A timer with a setting ring. The timer comprises a body having a length with a first end wall and a second end wall and a setting ring. The setting ring is engaged with a portion of the body and is configured to rotate around an axis of rotation extending through the body. The axis of rotation is parallel to the length of the body and generally perpendicular to the first and second end walls. Additionally, the timer comprises a plurality of tappets. The plurality of tappets are positioned around and engaged with the setting ring, wherein the plurality of tappets move between a first position and a second position within the setting ring in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation.
Abstract: a micro electromechanical switch structure with a continuously controllable beam. The beam is continuously controllable by adding an actuation electrode proximate to, but outside a beam projection. The beam projection is onto and perpendicular to a plane of the actuation electrode. By placing an actuation electrode beside a beam instead of underneath the beam, the actuation electrode can continuously control the movement of the beam from a rest position to a complete actuation.
Abstract: An Electric Dispatcher switching system is actuated by an electric clock mechanism and is designed to set in motion automatically, either simultaneously or consecutively, and to stop in the same way, a number of electric appliances or machines. The Electric Dispatcher comprises concentric circles of connecting structure energized by the rotating commutator arm of an electric clock having permanent magnets or gliders fixed on the commutator arm. Electric current is distributed through the connector structure to an electric wire system connected to technical equipment of a factory or institution in conformity with a time table previously dialed on a sectorized dial plate of the Electric Dispatcher.
Abstract: A variable duration clock timer unit which may be adjustably set to energize an electrical circuit for a selected duration for each period of clock operation includes a momentary contact, normally open, switch frictionally mounted at a selected location in a concentric annular groove in a circular clock face below a rotatable clock arm driven by an electric clock motor. The clock arm is adjustable in length and has a free end in the shape of a triangle overlying the annular groove. The switch actuator may be depressed by engagement with the free end of the clock arm to close the switch for the period of time that the free end is in engagement with the switch actuator. Adjustment of the length of the clock arm changes the width of the free end portion of the clock arm engageable with the switch actuator and thus determines the duration of switch closing. The timer unit may be used to automatically control the operation of an electric defrosting circuit of a motor vehicle.
Abstract: A rotary switch for a timepiece in which a rotatable setting plate made of non-conductive material has fixed thereon a plurality of upstanding projections of equal axial height on a major surface thereof resiliently supporting coaxially thereon on the tips of the projections an electrically conductive contact gear driven rotationally by an hour gear of a timepiece. The setting plate carries an electrically conductive contact plate thereon that has upstanding angularly spaced contacts of lesser axial height than the upstanding projections. These contacts are angularly spaced from each other differently than the angular spacing of the upstanding projections and are disposed among and alternately with the upstanding projections.
