Patent number: 9921603Abstract: A staging operation unit has a base member having a convex portion, a rotary member, a bearing member fixed on the convex portion that rotatably mounts the rotary member thereon with respect to the base member, and an accessory. The rotary member has a pushed-in movable member that accepts a push-in operation in a direction along a rotation axis of the bearing member, a rotary operation detection unit that detects rotation of the rotary member and outputs a signal corresponding to a result of the detection of the rotation to outside, and a push-in operation detection unit that detects the push-in operation of the pushed-in movable member and outputs a signal corresponding to a result of the detection of the push-in operation to outside. At least a part of the accessory is housed inside the convex portion.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2014Date of Patent: March 20, 2018Assignee: OMRON CorporationInventors: Takahiro Ono, Takehiko Furuta

Patent number: 8210942Abstract: A handheld gaming machine including one or more actuators for providing vibrational cues or feedback during play of a wagering game to indicate the occurrence of a wagering-game event, such as a change in game rules, an input of a wager, and the like. The change in game rules may include a change in the odds of winning an award during the wagering game, a change in the type of award that can be awarded during the wagering game, eligibility for bonus play, or eligibility to accumulate one or more game elements associated with the wagering game. The vibration can be consistent with a wagering-game theme and can accompany or be a substitute for concurrently played audio sounds. The actuator(s) may include a haptic device such as a haptic touchscreen that overlays the display or an electromagnetic coil acting upon an unbalanced mass.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2007Date of Patent: July 3, 2012Assignee: WMS Gaming Inc.Inventors: Jorge L. Patent number: 6998555Abstract: An electrical miniswithch comprising a case including a case part forming a base having several electrical terminals extending therefrom, and a case part forming a cover, an instantaneous switching mechanism located in the case and comprising a flexible conducting blade subjected to a substantial pre-stress, and a push-button mounted sliding through the part of the case forming the cover to actuate the instantaneous mechanism. The miniswitch also comprises a compression spring opposing sliding of the push-button so that in the break position of the miniswitch the flexible conducting blade is biased by th push-button and the spring, retained by a stop on the push-button, and in the switched or make position of the miniswitch the conducting blade is not subjected to constraint from the push-button and the compression spring.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2004Date of Patent: February 14, 2006Assignee: Crouzet AutomatismesInventors: Stéphane Collot, Bernard Truchet, Christian Roux

Publication number: 20040154910Abstract: A rotary push switch device includes a cylindrical rotary push knob, which is subjected to push and rotary operations, a rotary drive plate, which is rotated by the rotary push knob, a push knob, which is disposed inwardly of the rotary push knob and pushed, and a push rubber contact element which is pressed by pushing the push knob. When the push knob is subjected to the push operation, the rotary push knob is also pushed in association with the push knob, and when the rotary push knob is subjected to the rotary operation, the push knob is prevented from being rotated in association with the rotary push knob.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2004Publication date: August 12, 2004Applicant: Alps Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yukiharu Hayashi

Patent number: 6747223Abstract: A switch device includes (a) a switch arranged on a bottom of a recess, and (b) a waterproof sheet adhered at its outer edge to a wall defining the recess, at a certain height to entirely cover the recess therewith. The waterproof sheet has a first area greater than a cross-sectional area of the recess when the waterproof sheet is in its original planar form. A difference between the first area of the waterproof sheet and the cross-sectional area of the recess allows the switch to be actuated through the waterproof sheet, and disallows moisture to enter the recess through the waterproof sheet. The waterproof sheet is composed of transparent or semi-transparent resin, for instance. The waterproof sheet may be adhered at its outer edge to a summit or a bottom of the wall.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2001Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Takeshi Hattori
