Abstract: A circular saw includes a motor, a blade, a blade guard, and at least one panel. The blade is attached to the motor so as to be driven by the motor during a cutting operation. The blade guard is configured to at least partially cover the blade. The blade guard includes a leading portion and a guard lower edge. The at least one panel is substantially composed of substantially transparent scratch-resistant material and is coupled to the blade guard. The at least one panel is coupled to the blade guard such that a lower edge of the panel is adjacent to the guard lower edge.

Abstract: A first turning member is formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape. A pivot is convexly formed on the bottom of the first turning member, and a packing is wound around the first turning member. A boss is convexly formed on one surface of a second turning member, and a packing is wound around the boss. A pivot opening is formed in the other surface of the second turning member. The boss is inserted into the first turning member. The pivot is inserted into a ring-shaped waterproof member and a plain washer. The waterproof member surrounds the pivot opening. The waterproof member is sandwiched between the bottom of the first turning member and the end surface of the boss.

Abstract: A snap-engaging apparatus for use in a rotatable electrical component, particularly a rotatable switch or a rotatable resistor, makes it easier to find operational positions. The snap-engaging apparatus includes a rotor (3) which is formed as a hollow body to have an axial opening and a radial, or circumferential, wall (7). A leaf spring (8) is tensioned to have a U-shape with its ends (9, 11) being self supported against diametrically positioned parts of the circumferential wall (7). A snap-engaging contour wall surface (19) coaxially surrounds the rotor, with a snap-engaging nose (15), formed on an extension (14) of one end of the leaf spring, being springingly urged thereagainst in a radial direction. The circumferential wall (7) has an opening (17) through which the snap-engaging nose (15) extends.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fusible switch for use in a multiphase circuit. The switch includes an operating mechanism which is secured to the enclosure of the switch and provides for a handle to operate the opening and closing of switch contacts. Movement of the handle stores energy in the operating mechanism which is subsequently released in a quick motion just as the switch contact is to be opened or closed. The switch also provides for heat sinks and means for venting the enclosure to dissipate the heat created from the higher voltage and greater current density carried by this improved switch.
Abstract: In the method of controlling the wiping interval, the interval of time between two consecutive wiping movements, of which at least the second wiping movement was started arbitrarily, is measured, the measured value is stored and is subsequently used as interval time unless a different interval time becomes stored due to another arbitrary starting of wiping movements, or unless the interval operation of the wiper is interrupted or unless the control circuit is deenergized.
