Abstract: An apparatus (100, 200, 400, 500, 600) includes a stack (110, 310) having a plurality of connected tie web sheets (106, 306) and an image (114) disposed on each of the tie web sheets (106, 306), wherein the image (114) is the same on each tie web sheet (106, 306) and is disposed in overlay registration from sheet (106, 306) to sheet (106, 306). Each tie web sheet (106, 306) includes a plurality of twist ties (104, 304), each twist tie (104, 304) having a proximal end (118) and a distal end (120), each twist tie (104, 304) being removably attached to the stack (110, 310) at its proximal end (118). A method of dispensing a plurality of twist ties (104, 304) includes mounting a stack (110, 310) within reach of a user and displaying an image (114) disposed on each of the tie web sheets (106, 306). Removal of a twist tie (104, 304) of the plurality of twist ties (104, 304) of the stack (110, 310) does not alter the image (114) viewable by the user.

Abstract: Improved match containers having removable coupon sheets are provided for. The match container comprises a plurality of matches packaged in the container and a coupon sheet. The coupon sheet provides a substrate on which the manufacturer coupon is imprinted. It is removable from the container by a consumer for redemption of the manufacturer coupon. The manufacturer coupon further includes machine readable code associated with the manufacturer coupon to facilitate the automated processing of the manufacturer coupon. Improved methods for distributing manufacturer coupons via the novel match containers also are provided for.

Abstract: Improved matchbooks having separable message sheets are provided for. The novel matchbooks each comprise a comb of matches having a plurality of matches and a cover. The cover is attached to and folded over the comb such that the cover substantially encloses the comb when the cover is in a first closed position and permits a consumer to access the matches in the comb when the cover is in a second open position. The cover has igniting material on the cover on which the matches may be struck and ignited. The matchbooks also have a message sheet providing a substrate on which a message may be imprinted. The message sheet is separably connected to the cover such that the message sheet is separable from the cover. Thus, the message sheet may be removed from a novel matchbook by a consumer without compromising the integrity of the matchbook.

Abstract: Game played using match-related medium for printing gaming instructions and indicia. At least one of interior surfaces of a matchbook or matchbox carrier is printed with gaming indicia used for comparison against gaming indicia printed at least one of match sticks or match splints. Game instructions are also printed on the interior surfaces of the matchbook or matchbox carrier. A serial number printed on at least one of the matchbook, matchbox, matchstick or match splint provides control over the game. Game indicia is related to at least one of: Five-card Poker, Seven-card Poker; Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat, lotteries and raffles.

Abstract: A game or gift shaped as a simulated matchbook cover containing one or more tear-out strips anchored to the lower end of the cover in essentially the same fashion as matches in a conventional pocket matchbook. The strips are elongated panels which can be torn from the cover, and which bear messages on one or both sides. Alternatively, the strips are tear-out envelopes in which messages or small gifts are inserted. In one form, a spinner is rotatably secured to the cover, and the resting position of the spinner designates one or more specific strips to be torn from the cover.

Abstract: A match book type assembly including two side flaps movably interconnected to one another by a base portion wherein the outer surfaces of both side flaps are dimensioned and structured to respectively include a decorative photograph and advertising or like indicia thereon and further wherein the base portion is disposed and configured to maintain the assembly in an upright orientation for viewing of the photograph and advertising most efficiently when the assembly is in a closed, protective position relative to a plurality of items such as matches or sticks of chewing gum fastened to the housing and disposed within it.

Abstract: A combination toothpick dispenser/matchbook is disclosed in comprising a matchbook provided with a cover foldable against an opposite match-carrying portion of the matchbook, the cover having an inside surface, a toothpick dispenser attached to the inside surface, the dispenser including a pocket for receiving lower ends of toothpicks inserted therein, a retainer for holding the intermediate portions of the toothpicks flat against the inner cover surface, and a flap covering the upper ends of the toothpicks, both ends of the toothpick, that being cover for sanitary purposes and security while being readily accessible for individual removal. The combined matchbook/toothpick dispenser is disclosed in two different embodiments and a separate self-contained toothpick dispenser is also disclosed.

Abstract: Relates to individual, inexpensive, disposable holders particularly adapted for use in smoking short stubs of paper-wrapped cigarettes of the unfiltered type (without a cardboard mouthpiece) and containing shredded, dried leaves of herbs and plants. Also relates to small, pocket-size dispensers in which a plurality of such holders are carried for individual removal as needed. Matches and rolling papers may also be carried in such dispensers.
