One or both can include an end member (105) and a cylindrical sidewall (103) extending from the end member. The cylindrical sidewall can include a central layer (301), an inner wrap (302), and an outer wrap (303). The central layer and the outer wrap can define one or more axially aligned apertures (304,305). A hang tab (106) defining a loop (107) and one or more socles (307,308) can be inserted through the apertures with the loop disposed exterior of the cylindrical sidewall and the one or more socles disposed between the central layer and the inner wrap.

Abstract: The invention relates to a watch with a rigid casing-up, comprising: a middle (1); a bottom (2); a movement (3, 3bis, 3ter, 3quater, 41); and a casing-up ring (4, 4bis, 4ter, 42) in contact with the middle (1). The casing-up ring (4, 4bis, 4ter, 42) has an inner peripheral face (8, 17) and the movement (3, 3bis, 3ter, 3quater, 41) is secured to an outer peripheral face (7, 13, 18, 18bis), said inner (8, 17) and outer (7, 13, 1, 18bis) peripheral faces being in contact with each other in the Z and Z? regions thereof. Said watch is characterized in that it also comprises a tightening element (5, 5bis) provided for exerting pressure on the casing-up ring (4, 4bis, 4ter, 42) or the movement (3quater). The invention also relates to a method for casing-up such a watch.

The body is configured to be inserted into the case and assuming an assembled position and a mounting mechanism adapted to releasably secure the body to the case in the assembled position. According to another embodiment of the invention a timepiece is provided, having a body, a replaceable timepiece face, and a case at least partially imitating a tin can. The body is configured to be inserted into the case and assuming an assembled position and the timepiece face is configured to be releasably coupled to the body.

Abstract: Provided is a watch storage apparatus comprising a base and a first watch engagement mechanism. The base may comprise a first surface and a receiver engaged with the first surface. The receiver may comprise a first hole. The first watch engagement mechanism may comprise a pin and a retaining band engaged with the pin. The pin may be selectably engagable with the first hole. The retaining band may define a structure having a perimeter to which an associated watch may be selectively removably and securely engaged about the perimeter so as to prevent slippage of the watch band relative to the perimeter of the structure.

Abstract: The invention relates to a case for receiving, in a fixed position, an article secured to a support (5). This case (1) includes a bottom part (3) forming the base and a top part (2) forming the cover. The bottom part (3) and top part (2) cooperate with each other to define a closed space in a closed position. The support (4) includes holding means (6) so that the article does not rest on the base, or against the cover.

Abstract: A clamshell package for a heart rate monitoring watch having sensors positioned on the watch is disclosed herein. The clamshell package preferably includes a back insert and a front insert. The front insert preferably has a plurality of access ports for accessing the sensors of the heart rate monitoring watch while it is in the clamshell package. In this manner, the heart rate monitoring watch is protected but accessible to potential purchasers.

Abstract: The invention concerns security support for display article, in particular wrist-watches, designed to be integrated in a display unit (30) and comprising a sensor (7) fixed on the base (10) and connected by a conductor wire (12) to a connector (12) linked to an alarm central station. Said support consists of a globally cylindrical block (2) whereof the side surface is truncated along a chord (3) to form a plane (4) whereon is fixedly mounted a mechanical locking member (5) adapted to co-operate removably with corresponding parts (6) of the sensor (7) fixed at the base (9) of the watch (10), such that the latter thus equipped with the sensor (7), can be mechanically locked on the cylindrical block (2) by the locking member (5) and can be locked on that same block by winding of its own bracelet (13) and by closure of its clasp (14).

Abstract: An improved container for watches, jewelry, and other ring-shaped objects designed to include a lock device which prevents the aforementioned objects from being removed from the container. The container comprises of a body with a slot in a face of the body where a ring-shaped object may be inserted. The lock device comprises of a rigid member which may be selectively positioned in a locked position or an unlocked position. The rigid member moves axially in relation to the ring-shaped object when the ring-shaped object is inserted in the slot. In the locked position, the rigid member protrudes into the cavity of the ring-shaped object. In the unlocked position, the rigid member is outside the cavity of the ring-shaped object. The container may further include a mount which releasably attaches to the ring-shaped object. The rigid member of the lock device secures the ring-shaped object inside the slot by pinning down the mount which is attached to the ring-shaped object.

The cover has a top wall and four side walls that define an inner surface. The cover is selectively coupled to and decoupled from the base and can be positioned in a first position, in which the outer surface of the base and the inner surface of the four side walls cooperate to seal the display box and to prevent an unauthorized decoupling of the cover (i.e. opening of the display. box). Preferably, mechanical assistance is required to separate the cover and the base.

Abstract: A display case for jewelry, such as a wrist watch, is provided which includes a housing formed of a receiving shell and a cover closeable over the shell, a display mount within the housing for supporting the jewelry, and a multi-tiered rack within the housing adjacent the display mount. The preferred embodiment employs a foamed structure to serve as a mount which includes an outer frame surrounding a cavity and a support upon which the wrist watch rests and can form-fittingly be lodged within the cavity. The multi-tiered rack has a series of plates pivotally moveable from a horizontal to a vertical position. A CD disc can be stored within the pocket of each plate. When the primary purpose of the display case for showcasing jewelry has been completed, a purchaser of the jewelry discards the foamed mount and can now employ the case for the storage of CD discs.

A removable element is provided for obturating the opening in a leakproof manner. A groove forming a gutter is arranged substantially all around the opening of at least one of the compartments. The gutter is capable of receiving a quantity of the product which can escape from the compartment during its opening or during the manipulation of the packaging unit after it has been opened.

Abstract: An artists' disposable palette (10) comprising a paperboard blank (26) having a peripheral edge (16) and a hole (14) formed centrally therein. The blank (26) has a first cut line (28) extending between the hole (14) and the peripheral edge (16) of the blank (26) defining first (30) and second (32) sections of the blank adjoining along the cut line. A tab (34) in the first section (30) is inserted into a second cut line (40) in the second section (32) cupping the planar blank into a saucer shaped palette. The palette (10) is held in a saucer shape by the engagement of the tab (34) with the tab receiving slit (40) preventing the tab from passing back through the slit.

Abstract: The present invention provides a virtually spill-proof container for use with paint or liquids of comparable viscosity. In particular, the container of the present invention comprises a receptacle having a base portion and a top portion, an insert member with a generally central aperture attached to the top portion of the receptacle, and a barrier member having a hole formed therethrough operatively connected to the insert member. The hole in the barrier member permits a user to access the liquid within the container with a brush or like instrument, while the barrier member functions like an obstruction which prevents, or minimizes, spillage should the container be tipped over or inverted. The barrier member may alternatively be constructed of an absorbent sponge or solid plastic material. A lid is also provided so that the user may conveniently open and reseal the container.

Abstract: A furniture finish color spot repair kit provides soluble color elements on a palette which is in the form of a card, deck of cards or a tube. The kit is also provided with a solvent and a brush for dissolving, mixing and applying colors to a damaged area. A method of making a kit provides cutting of the cards, printing the color elements and any other desired information and packaging the cards, solvent and brush, and if desired, providing the kit with an adaptation for hanging on a display rack.

Abstract: A security display container for alternately displaying and transporting a watch or the like that includes a housing having a tongue which forms a first part of a snap-lock, the tongue itself having a first latch portion. The display container also includes a retainer member for securing and displaying the watch which is removably receivable in the housing and which forms a second part of a snap-lock that is received under the tongue in order to snap lock the retainer member to the housing. The retainer member further having a second latch portion that is aligned with the first latch portion and a fastener which is receivable through the first and second latch portions to connect the retainer member to the housing. The security display container is adapted to receive a cover which is mateable with the housing in a nesting orientation for displaying the watch and in an enclosing orientation for transporting the watch.

Abstract: A wristwatch display package is made using two elongated sheet members of transparent plastic joined end-to-end by a flexible hinge. The sheets are folded together, nested and sealed together around the peripheral edges. An elongated display card having printing thereon is disposed between the sheet members and within the sealed peripheral edges. The card has a window for displaying a portion of a wristwatch. The sheet members have protrusions which together form an arcuate cavity. The arcuate cavity is surrounded by the window in the display card and adapted to receive a wristwatch.

Abstract: Palettes are made from a sheet of translucent tempered glass and, except for table-top palettes (although optionally there also), provided with a textured surface or a sheet of white vinyl laminated on the backside of the sheet. A thumb hole is provided on hand-held palettes of quasi-elliptical shape for securing the palette on an arm of the artist, and a hand-hold opening is optionally provided on table-top palettes of rectangular shape. All of the palettes disclosed may have a color mixing guide or chart printed on one surface or the other at the interface of the sheet of tempered glass and the white vinyl, or optionally on the surface of the backside of the tempered glass when made without a textured surface for a table-top palette. The table top provides the diffused light illumination of paint on the palette from the backside. A palette of classic shape is shown to illustrate the invention which may be practiced with other unique shapes illustrated.

Abstract: An improved artist sketch box is described as including a bottom with upstanding walls attached to the bottom generally about the perimeter forming a base compartment, diagonal members affixed within the base compartment further defining the area therein, a lid assembly of approximately the same peripheral configuration as the base compartment hinged to one of the upstanding walls, and as having lid walls attached to the lid assembly adapted for receiving one or more artist panels and a panel board member hinged to the lid assembly to provide access for inserting or removing the artist panels from the lid assembly. The lid assembly pivots about its hinges so that the lid walls and panel board member align with the upstanding walls to form a box. A lightweight easel and palette assembly is provided that fits within the box and is removable separate and apart from the box for use.

Abstract: A combination tray and box for storing a plurality of paint colors therein, the apparatus comprising an elongated substantially rectangular housing being generally defined by a planar bottom and four sides, the housing having an open top whereby a storage tray insert may be removably fitted within the interior of the housing, the insert having a plurality of paint storage wells and transverse raised ribs defined along the longitudinal extent of the top surface thereof and juxtaposed between adjacent wells, the insert further having an exterior perimeter less than the interior perimeter of the housing so as to define a channel therebetween for accumulation of excess paint and water residue, the housing further including a cover associated therewith for protecting the tray contents when not in use.

Abstract: A water color painting kit apparatus includes a color stand having a plurality of recesses with water color blocks secured in each recess. The blocks project upwardly from the outer surfaces in coplanar orientation. Three paint brushes are included, each having a stiff blade covered with a thin water absorbing sponge, including a lower rounded painting edge. One brush has a length to cover three immediately adjacent blocks, another brush covers two blocks and a third brush covers one block. A water tray has a water chamber with a water absorbing foam pad in the chamber. The top portion of the pad is above the water line in the chamber. The pad absorbs the water and creates a top-wall of predetermined moisture content. The blade engages the pad to moisturize the cover for controlled take up of the water color from the color block(s) for painting of an article.

Abstract: A combination paint palette and storage device includes a generally planar palette base having a thumb aperture and hand grip defined therein. The palette base further defines a plurality of paint mixing recesses and supports a rotating wheel color mix display chart. A plurality of paint applicators are received and supported within a corresponding plurality of applicator caps. The applicator caps are secured to the palette base in a ball and socket attachment using a corresponding plurality of simulated paint deposits which are color coated to the applicator paint color. A storage bracket is supported upon the undersurface of the planar palette base and accommodates and stores a plurality of paint media sheets.

Abstract: A painter's box or artist's sketch box has a removable lid, a reversible palette, movable partitions enabling the changing of the compartments of the box, a detachably mounted brush holder, a detachably mounted charcoal holder, and support legs that support the box when its lid is closed and which relieve stress on the hinges that interconnect the main body of the box and the lid when the lid is fully open. The hinges are of the pull-apart slip hinge type and include pins of differing lengths to facilitate reattachment of the lid to the main body of the box, and a groove is centered along the parting line of the lid and the main body to accommodate the hinge barrels to further facilitate alignment of the lid and the main body of the box. A thumb hole formed in the palette enables it to be held easily when separated from the box and provides an access opening for a jar of mineral spirits when the palette is not held.

Abstract: An artist's palette is shown having surface roughness values conducive to wetting, spreading and suspension maintenance of water color, acrylic and other pigment media. Porous materials having selected permeability versus open porosity are disclosed which are useful both as in a palette substrate as well as a color pot in a reservoir system module that provides extended pigment suspension life. Interchangeable color pots receivable in modules which in turn are receivable in work boxes are disclosed providing optimum artist flexibility.

Each designated area of each pair being provided to receive a first color with a second color bias wherein adjacent designated areas of adjacent pairs having directional indica towards each other and receive a first color having a common second color bias. The palette having at least three areas (17, 18, 19) positioned between adjacent pairs of designated areas to receive a second color. The second color created by combining the first colors having a common second color bias in adjacent designated areas.

Abstract: A device for easing selection of, securely storing, protecting, displaying, and transporting items that can be attached to its woven face, loops, fastener ended straps, or contained within its compartment. The device is flexible, rectangular, and planar when unrolled and hangs suspended from a cord and a stiff bar with end caps. It has a front piece with a surface with a plurality of apertures and is interspersed with various attachments for articles such as jewelry, and including a detachable mirror and a detachable timepiece. Behind this layer is the back piece composed of fabric enclosing padding. The facing surfaces between the pieces of the front and back are coated with a frictionable substance that will contribute to holding the items fastened to the device and prevent them from moving around. When items are attached to the device, those not contained within a compartment will be displayed in an attractive manner that will be enhanced by the design of the device.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus comprising a portable object, a longitudinally disposed carrying handle for the portable object having first and second ends, and first and second handle retaining means. More particularly, the apparatus can be a paint container tray which is provided with compartments suitably sized for artist's supplies. When the tray is in use by an artist, the handle may be lowered to a stowed position allowing the artist full and simple access to the entire paint container tray. When the handle is raised into the use position, it can optionally be held in that position by friction.

Abstract: An Easter egg decorating and coloring kit for dyeing and painting Easter eggs and including an arrangement of dye chambers integrally formed and arranged in a linear orientation. A paint tray having paint receptacles and a paintbrush receptacle for placement of a paintbrush therein is integrally formed with and extends outwardly from a rear top edge of the dye chambers. A ladle for placement and removal of the Easter eggs from within the dye chambers is removably supported on a front of the dye chambers and includes an envelope attached to a head portion thereof containing dye tablets of a variety of colors to be dissolved within the chambers to form a dye solution.

Abstract: The color wheel palette includes a generally circular bottom plate with a raised annular shelf and a non-raised central portion, the shelf having a number of spaced color paint wells uniformly disposed therein which may contain color paints therein, while the central portion is divided by raised partitions into a number of color-mixing wells. The shelf wells are sloped downwardly and outwardly from their inner margins to help pool the paints therein. A generally circular cover plate of a slightly larger size and the same general configuration as the bottom plate is releasably stacked over the bottom plate to protect the paint. The cover plate has preferably three groups of three shallower color paint or color-mixing shelf wells which register with the shelf wells of the bottom plate. Each group is prefereably about 120.degree. apart and aligned with a different one of the three central portion color-mixing wells of the cover plate, which register with those of the bottom plate.

Abstract: A lightweight paint carrier system for use with artist's acrylic paint containers or bottles of a fixed size and cylindrical shape. A number of generally circular trays are provided with a central post. The trays nest together with one tray nesting atop another to form either a single layer assembly or two or three layer assembly. The trays of the second and higher layers mount onto the post of the tray below and are supported therefrom in a cantilever fashion. The trays are of two types--a base which includes an artist's water basin surrounded by twelve wells for receiving the bottom of the bottles and an intermediate layer tray which has wells uniformly distributed on its upper surface for receiving eighteen of the paint containers. A top is provided for either the one base tray or the stack of nested trays and a handle having a rod of a length sized to accommodate a single tray stack or a multiple stack array is provided.

Abstract: At least two trays are positioned over each other which are lockable by a cover. One of the trays is a drawer which is lockable in an inserted position with the cover. The paint box can have an upper and a lower tray and the upper tray can comprise a rectangular housing with a foldable cover. The rectangular housing has double side walls extending downwardly and forming a guide for the lower tray which is the drawer. The undersurface of the drawer can form the supporting surface for the housing while the upper tray housing rests on the drawer. The double side walls of the rectangular housing end with a small space above the bottom plane of the drawer and the inserted edge of the drawer can be lowered an amount corresponding to that small space. The pulled out end of the drawer can have a strap which projects upwardly over the upper tray and engages under the edge of the foldable cover.

Abstract: There is described a painter implement, more particularly a pallet with a base, such as a plate, whereon a plurality of locations for ready-to-use paint are provided, in which at least one receptacle wherein a liquid and/or paste supply can be stored, is mounted on said base, whereby means are provided to connect said receptacle with at least one said locations.

Abstract: A multi-sectioned hinged case is provided which is specifically adapted to facilitate the storage and retrieval of numerous articles of differing size and configuration. When open the case is adapted to stand upright securely with its respective sections both visible and accessible. When closed the sections fold together to form a unitary case. In one embodiment of the invention one of the sections is provided with a removable bin which projects beyond the sides of that section and is provided with a corresponding vacant area in an adjacent section of the case to accommodate the projecting bin when the case is closed. The multi-section hinged case of the invention is particularly adapted for the storage, display and retrieval of fishing tackle, sewing implements and artist's supplies.

Abstract: Portable case for such things as a health program. The case includes a bottom housing having a bottom, a back wall, two side walls and a front wall. The front wall has an aperture in the lower part thereof sufficient in size to allow the insertion into or removal therefrom of at least one book from the interior of the bottom housing. There is a top housing having a top, a back wall, two side walls and a front wall. The bottom edge of the back wall of the top housing is hinged to the top edge of the back wall of the bottom housing. The front wall of the top housing is enlarged so that it covers the front portion of the top housing and at least the aperture of the bottom housing. There is a flat lid which is hinged on its back edge to the top edge region of the back wall of the bottom housing of the bottom compartment. The flat lid covers the tray formed by the horizontal wall when in the down position and is in a nearly vertical position when in the raised position.

Abstract: A novel paint-by-numbers kit containing a panel board with a non-porous paper mounted thereon. The paper contains thereon a plurality of different unpainted picture areas and a plurality of different water-insoluble portions together constituting an unpainted picture to be painted by a user. Also contained in the kit is a plurality of different water-based paints for coloring the unpainted picture areas. The paints form a layer of transparent color on the non-porous paper of the panel board. Each unpainted picture area is associated with a water-soluble indicia number for indicating to the user which of the different paints to apply to each unpainted picture area. Each different paint is separately identified by a selector number which corresponds to an appropriate indicia number. In using the paint-by-numbers kit, the user wets a paint brush which is supplied with the kit and rubs the wetted paint brush on the paints.

Abstract: Artist's sketch box tray is a rectangular tray with partitions for holding the artist's equipment. The tray can be vacuum-formed plastic, wood, metal or other comparable material, can be enclosed in a paper or transparent polymer tube for sale, and can be inserted into a carrying case to form a sketch box. The carrying case has a top closure for holding the equipment in the sketch box tray, a front pocket for pads and panels, straps for carrying wet or dry canvasses, and loops to carry a tripod easel so that all artist materials can be conveniently carried.

Abstract: An improvement in the combination of a cylindrical outer frame which is coaxially rotatably mounted on the outside of a cylindrical inner frame as disclosed. The improvement which maintains a sealed condition between the two frames includes a first circumferential groove on the outside of the inner frame, this groove having sloped sidewalls. A second circumferential groove is provided on the inside surface of the outer frame opposite the first groove, the second groove having parallel sidewalls. A sealing ring is positioned within the space defined by the first and second grooves and contacts opposing sidewalls of the two grooves. A biasing means is provided for axially biasing the inner and outer frame with respect to each other so as to assure the sealing condition established by the sealing ring.

Abstract: The water-tight watch case is disclosed wherein the case provides a water-tight enclosure for an electronic watch module and wherein the case includes a removable cover portion for providing physical access to the interior of the case for replacement of batteries and the like. The removable cover portion includes a truncated conically tapered sealing ring surface having an angle of taper less than 8.degree. and preferably in the range of 7.degree. to 3.degree. for providing an interference-contact axial press fit with a mating truncated conically tapered surface of the case. A water-tight seal is formed between the cover and the case essentially solely due to the axially pressed interference-contact fit between the pair of mated tapered sealing ring surfaces.

Abstract: A paint teaching set which includes a base having a central portion which is provided with a circular array of equi-angularly spaced recesses adapted to replaceably receive pads containing pigments making up progressively different colors of the color spectrum. The base has a rearwardly extending integral flange which has a plurality of substantially flat, individual tab members spaced circumferentially about the periphery of the flange and radially outwardly therefrom. The cover is adapted to be frictionally retained over the base for sliding rotation with respect thereto.

Abstract: The invention provides a clock kit comprising a clock housing, decorative means adapted to project from the housing, a clock motor support means, a motor housing, hour indicators, hour and minute hands and a felt covering, and optionally a soft pad having the shape of the clock. The clock housing blank comprising a base, a plurality of circumferential tabs extending from the base, the tabs when taken together substantially extending about the circumference of the base, said tabs being folded out of the plane of said base to be perpendicular to said base with the extension of one tab being positioned against the adjacent tab and adhesively held in such position. The tabs are of such design and structure as to permit decorative means to be attached thereto and to project outward thereof.

Abstract: Easel base having compartment for paint tubes and also brushes has a central rib formed with notches. A detachable lid for the base functions as a palette. Hinged to the front edge of the base is an upright member having a bail which fits into any of the rib notches through the base center to adjust the angle of the easel upright relative to the tray. A transverse first channel is fixed to the hinged upright member. An easel extension slides in the upright socket and is fixed in extension by the painting. Slidable on the bar is a second channel which is adjusted in position by a thumb screw. A canvas or other painting surface is supported at its bottom and top edges by the first and second channels. For transportation and storage, the palette lid is placed on the tray, holding the contents in their compartments. The top easel cross bar is inverted and moved down to engage the edge of the palette and base, locking the palette and box closed, thus holding both paints and brushes in the base.
