Abstract: A Thermally Isolated Blood Carrier Tray includes a main panel having a plurality of thermally isolated compartments attached thereto. The thermally isolated compartments are arranged in two separate matrices having a plurality of column and rows. Each thermally isolated compartment is thermally isolated from an adjacent thermally isolated compartment. Each thermally isolated compartment maintains its own heat transfer rate without being affected by an adjacent thermally isolated compartments heat transfer rate. The placement of several different storage units having different temperatures into the Thermally Isolated Blood Carrier Tray does not affect the heat transfer rate of any one storage unit in a thermally isolated compartment. The Thermally Isolated Blood Carrier Tray provides a steady and even heat transfer from the storage unit to bring the storage units to an appropriate temperature for storage or transportation.
Abstract: A basket-style carrier having a top panel for enclosing the carrier. The top panel comprises flaps foldably connected to the side panels which contain openings through which a top portion of articles packaged in the carrier extend. The flaps also include at least one fold line extending parallel to the side panels, allowing the flaps to be folded over so that their free ends extend to and contact the center partition of the carrier. This biases the top panel flap edges against the center partition and an edge of the opening against the underside of flanges or other transversely extending projections of the articles packaged in the carrier. The handle in a center partition may be designed as a three-ply reinforced handle.
Abstract: The specification discloses a collapsible article carrier formed from a folded sheet of material that is alternatively foldable into a substantially flat, collapsed position and an open position for receiving articles. The article carrier includes a bottom member having first and second bottom panels. First and second side walls are hingedly joined along bottom edges thereof to edges of the first and second bottom panels. First and second end panels are hingedly joined to edges of the first side wall, and third and fourth end panels are hingedly joined to edges of the second side wall. The first and third end panels are hingedly joined to form a first end wall. The second and fourth end panels are hingedly joined to form a second end wall.
