Abstract: A woodwind reed storage and maintenance device conveniently fits directly onto the reed bearing end of a musical instrument. The storage and maintenance device includes a reed storage space, humidity control device space, and a humidity gauge. The storage and maintenance device is used to maintain a reed while still located on the musical instrument at a specifically-chosen constant humidity level for optimal performing condition and maximum reed life. The storage and maintenance device protects the reed from physical damage and from damage due to changing humidity levels in the ambient surroundings. The storage and maintenance device accurately measures and displays temperature and humidity information corresponding to the reed storage space inside the device.

Abstract: A carrying case for wet canvas. The carrying case includes a base having a sidewall extending perpendicularly away therefrom, thereby defining an interior volume. A lid is securable to the sidewall, such that the lid encloses the interior volume when secured thereto. A tension bar is disposed on the base within the interior volume, wherein the tension bar can telescopically move between an extended position and a retracted position. A linear distance between a first side of the tension bar and a second side of the tension bar is greater when in the extended position. The first and second ends are designed to frictionally engage an interior surface of a canvas frame, thereby maintaining a position of the canvas within the interior volume such that an exterior of the canvas is preserved.

Abstract: A vehicle interior component is disclosed. The vehicle interior component may comprise a console assembly such as a floor console. The vehicle interior component may comprise a base providing a compartment; a cover movable from a closed position to an open position; and a latch mechanism comprising an arm providing a latch feature to secure the cover to the base. The cover may comprise a latch feature; the arm may move between an elevated position for the latch feature of the arm to engage the latch feature of the cover to secure the cover to the base and a retracted position for the latch feature of the arm to disengage the latch feature of the cover to release the cover from the base. The vehicle interior component may comprise a mechanism to actuate movement of the cover to the open position. The latch mechanism may comprise a concealed magnetic latch.

Abstract: An instrument case with one or more rack instrument stands with or without an instrument maintenance station combined into a hard-shell instrument transport case. The one or more rack instrument stands are attached to the inner top lid of the instrument case and has a comb shaped structure which can be locked into place when in use. The one or more rack instrument stands can store one or more different types of instruments at the same time when the case is open.

Abstract: A modular instrument pedalboard is provided. The modular instrument pedalboard provides a plurality removably connectable pods, which may be effect pedal pods, power distribution pods, audio distribution pods, power/audio distribution pods, or a combination thereof. The pods include a base that has a first part of a connector that is adapted to be coupled to a second part of the connector which allows the pods to be connected, rearranged, expanded, contracted, and/or a combination thereof. Further the connectable pods include a circuit board to for parts of one or more audio loops as well as a power bar to transmit audio signals and power between pods.

The modular instrument pedalboard provides a plurality removably connectable pods, which may be effect pedal pods, power distribution pods, audio distribution pods, power/audio distribution pods, or a combination thereof. Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic tablet case capable of concealing a firearm. The case is formed from a housing having closeable panels that are hingedly connected, defining an interior and exterior. The exterior of one of the panels includes mounting elements for securing to an electronic tablet. The interior of one panel includes at least one support element for holding a firearm in position. The panels can be secured together by use of a zipper, hook & loop or the like fastener.

Abstract: A drum kit container is configured to house various compartments sufficient to stow all of the equipment needed by a drummer in setting up a drum kit. One compartment is sized to house a relatively small bass drum, with an acoustic chamber formed behind this compartment and used to improve the sound of a small bass drum so that it sounds more like a larger bass drum as generally used in performance.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to an adjustable, floor-mounted electric guitar effect performance and storage apparatus for providing easier access to effect pedals and/or floorboards used by guitarists on stage during practices and/or performances. The apparatus includes two platforms, a lower and an upper, each of which is capable of holding various configurations of electric guitar effect pedals and/or floorboards. The upper platform is extendible and retractable by pushing or pulling with one's foot to gain access to pedals on the lower platform. Extension and retraction (gliding back and forth) is made possible by the use of standard drawer slides, installed in reverse, allowing the upper platform to move away and reveal the lower platform. In addition, the height of the upper platform can be adjusted for performance or storage.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cover for use with a lacrosse stick that specifically interacts with the net of the lacrosse head to protect the net and the pocket from the environment and selectively maintain a certain shape or contour of the pocket. The pocket retainer is a component that may be selectively positioned within the cover and thereby retains the contour of the net particular to the lacrosse player.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for the protection and transportation of musical instruments can include cases constructed of a semi-rigid and lightweight material to enable convenient transportation of the instrument and instrumental accessories, such as in internal and compartmentalized storage areas. Extendable/collapsible legs can enable the case to be placed in a standing position and to enable instruments to be retrieved and/or inserted while the case is in the standing position. The lid may be foldable over the front of the case or removed entirely from the case.

Abstract: A protective system includes a protective multi-layered body portion for protecting an instrument from debris, wind, temperature extremes, and visual observation. The body portion encapsulates the instrument fully assembled, so that a user has to remove the cover to utilize the instrument. The body portion minimizes contact with instrument. The body portion includes multiple layers. Each layer provides a unique, novel function for protection of the instrument. An inner layer engages the instrument. An intermediate layer contours to the shape of the instrument and provides insulation. An exterior layer forms the exterior protective surface and includes a pouch and a handle. Outside the body portion, a fastener regulates access to the inside. Inside the body portion, an instrument enhancing device, such as silica packs help protect the instrument. At least one wire carries a current along the body portion to provide heat for the instrument from an external source.

Abstract: A stationary base with at least two door shrouds extending from a tower portion. The tower portion has at least one groove communicating with a groove guide. An actuating housing is attached to the groove guide and connected to at least one force member positioned between the base and the actuating housing. At least one containment door is positioned in a door groove adjacent each door shroud. Each containment door communicates with the actuating housing with at least one guide pin positioned in a guide slot of each containment door, the guide slot being angled at a predetermined angle to translate vertical movement of the actuating housing to horizontal movement of each containment door.

Abstract: A protective saxophone stand cover that protects a saxophone, when a saxophone is resting on a saxophone stand, being placed on a saxophone stand, and being removed from a saxophone stand. The protective saxophone stand cover may be constructed of a soft, non-abrasive material to protect against the saxophone from being scratched, dented, or otherwise damaged. The protective saxophone stand cover may include a securing strap to protect against a saxophone, while on a saxophone stand, from falling off of the stand or being knocked off of the saxophone stand.

Abstract: Hybrid cases for musical instruments are disclosed. The cases have a semi-rigid back, a semi-rigid sidewall, a semi-rigid cover hingedly connected to selectively enclose a region of space when releaseably fastened closed, and a multi-part neck-brace. The neck-brace has a semi-rigid neck-support with a top surface that supports the instrument neck and a neck-clamp opposing the neck-support and affixed to the cover such that the instrument neck is automatically secured between the top surface of the neck-support and the neck-clamp upon fastening the cover closed and without the use of a neck-brace retaining band.

Abstract: A free-standing vitrine for storing instruments is disclosed. The vitrine comprises a transparent portion through which an instrument stored inside the vitrine is viewable when the lid of the vitrine is closed. Furthermore, versions of the free-standing vitrine may be inclined relative to the surface on which the vitrine rests.

Abstract: A package for an instrument string includes a base plate, and a fastening unit which includes at least two fasteners provided on the base plate to receive the instrument string where the instrument string that is in a wound state is inserted between the base plate and the at least two fasteners and fastened to the base plate before the instrument string is packed into a packing bag to make a work of packing the instrument easy.

Abstract: Cases are disclosed in which insertion and/or removal of an instrument occurs with the case in an upright orientation. Cases have a body with upper access and lower enveloping portions and the body has a sidewall defining a front edge with a first elongated side in the upper access portion, a second elongated side in the upper access portion and extending into the enveloping portion, and a bottom portion extending along the enveloping portion between the first and second sides. The sidewall further defines a back edge and the front/back edges are spaced apart. The body has a back affixed to the sidewall. A cover is releaseably fastened to the sidewall along the elongated sides and fixedly attached along the bottom of the sidewall. The cover is hinged where it will open when the cover is released from the sidewall and the case is upright.

Abstract: Cases for the protection of musical instruments each with a neck and a body are disclosed. The case includes a case body having an elongated upper portion for receiving the instrument neck and a lower enveloping portion with a far end for receiving the instrument body. The cases also include a selectively releasable cover hingedly affixed to the case body to permit selective access to the case body so that the instrument may be inserted into and removed from the case. The cases also include a protective boot attached to the far end of the case body. Optionally, such boots may include a central region disposed between a pair of opposing regions wherein the central region transfers less shock to the stringed instrument body than the opposing regions.

Abstract: A musical instrument carrying case and stand that includes a case having an internal cavity configured to hold a musical instrument, such as a guitar. The case comprises a non-rigid material. One or more slits allowing access to the internal cavity are provided in the case, and the one or more slits are positioned to define at least one flap. The musical instrument carrying case and stand further includes a support element that is pivotally attached to a back side of the case. The support element pivots between a first position in which the support element is substantially parallel with the back of the case and a second position in which the support element is able to support the case without the musical instrument being disposed therein.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a package for an instrument string. The package of the present invention can solve the problems caused by a conventional packing method wherein an instrument string is wound while twisting the wound portions, and an end of the instrument string is inserted between the twisted portions. Further, the instrument string can be easily fastened to the package merely by inserting the string between the base plate and fasteners provided on the base plate before it is packed into a packing bag. Thus, the present invention makes the work of packing the instrument string easy. The package includes the base plate, and a fastening unit which includes at least two fasteners provided on the base plate to receive the instrument string. The instrument string that is in a wound state is inserted between the base plate and the fasteners and fastened to the base plate.

Means is disclosed to hold the closures closed. Optional sidebags may be mounted to the handbag sides, each including a sidebag roof mouth closure and a sidebag floor mouth closure.

Abstract: A flexible music instrument case uses an interchangeable lid system to allow different types of lids to be attached to a main body depending on the particular needs of the user. The main body of the music case has an internal chamber configured to closely contain and protect the musical instrument or instruments, depending on the particular instruments being carried. The main body is somewhat structured to maintain a container shape, and may include various levels of rigidity. In addition, the main body further has at least one attachment mechanism attached to a portion thereof, to allow an interchangeable lid to be removably attached to the main body. The interchangeable lid has a similar attachment mechanism attached thereto to allow for the removable attachment of various lid elements.

Abstract: The disclosure of the present invention contemplates that provision is made for the guitar case to be supported from its bottom end by a foldable stand so that the case can be inclined upwardly at an angle relative to the horizontal, such as a floor surface. A guitar, when removed from the guitar case can then be suspended or hung from a hanger provided on the guitar case. The guitar is thereby oriented to be suspended substantially vertically, relative to the ground, and the bottom of the guitar is spaced from the ground or floor surface.

The cover for a horn or bell of a wind-blown instrument includes a hollow body having an interior side, a closed end, an open end, a fastener mechanism running from the closed end to the open end, and a stretchable panel connected to the interior side of the hollow body.

Abstract: An instrument case that is transformable into a stand for holding the instrument includes a base and a movable portion, including of a plurality of panels, attached at one end to the base. To transform the case into a stand, the movable portion is moved toward the base, thereby causing panels to rotate outwardly from a center of the instrument case, creating legs of the stand.

Abstract: The “Universal Instrument Hardcase Carrier” is used to carry instrument hard cases in a “backpack” configuration. The “Universal Instrument Hardcase Carrier” is a universal system that will fit all existing instrument hard cases made for banjo, guitar, and mandolin. The panel and strap design, and the buckling system of the “Universal Instrument Hardcase Carrier” are unique to this invention.

The storing case is adapted to receive various accessories normally used by a musician and for storing them. When the storing case is disposed on the amplifier, amplifier head, or amplifier stack, which is disposed on a stage, the storing case seems to be, for a spectator in front of the stage, an integral part of a set comprising the storing case and the amplifier, amplifier head, or amplifier stack.

The casing interior is provided with flexible shock absorbing support(s) on which the non-vulnerable portions of the instrument are laid whereas the delicate and vulnerable portions are held suspended in mid-air. As soon as the casing is closed, the supports get deformed acquiring a loop-shaped structure to encircle and cradle the instrument-parts which overlie thereon and in doing so the instrument is rendered securely captive against any movement In case of accidental impact the stress generated is borne by the soft lining of the casing and by the shock absorbing supports, rendering the instrument unharmed. The shock absorbing supports are advantageously detachably secured to the inner walls of the casing by retaining means. The present invention also provides a method for housing instrument in a portable casing for transportation.

Abstract: A temperature-controlled musical instrument carrying case for storing a musical instrument is provided. The musical instrument carrying case includes an insulated outer housing and an interior storage compartment that can store the musical instrument. In addition, the musical instrument carrying case includes a temperature sensitive device, a power source, a controller, and a heat-transfer device. The temperature sensitive device provides an indication of a temperature in the interior storage compartment to the controller. Based on the indication of the temperature, the controller generates and transmits a drive signal to the heat-transfer device. The heat-transfer device receives the drive signal from the controller and, based on the drive signal, at least selectively cools the interior storage compartment.
