Abstract: An improved stripping basket for fly fishing is disclosed. The stripping basket is easily compacted for stowing while on board a boat, or for packing the stripping basket in a suitcase for travel to a fishing destination. The basket comprises multiple removable line separators and drainage holes in a base plate. The base plate folds towards the front wall of the stripping basket. The front wall has multiple slits that correspond to the arrangement of the line separators. With the line separators still attached to the base plate, the stripping basket can be quickly unfolded for use. This is convenient when on board a boat, awaiting a turn to fish. For longer term storage, such when packing in a suitcase for travel, the line separators can be removed for maximum portability.

Abstract: A door-mounted rifle rack for use with a gun safe. The rifle rack has a stock support having one or more butt recesses located on a lower portion of an interior surface of the safe door. The butt recesses may be postioned at an angle to the interior surface of the safe door. A barrel support having one or more barrel holes is located on an upper portion of the interior surface of the safe door above the stock support. The barrel support, alternatively, may have one or more barrel recesses provided with barrel restraints instead of barrel holes.

Abstract: A weather-tight storage device and carrier for a single or multiple fishing rods and reels releasably mounted to a vehicular roof carrier rack. When not mounted on a vehicle, the storage device and carrier is manageable enough to be hand-carried and may also serve as a stand for the rods and reels. The storage device and carrier includes a carrier box housing the fishing reels and a portion of the associated fishing rods and an anchor portion for securing the distal ends of the associated fishing rods to the vehicular roof rack.

Abstract: A storage system comprises a bottom, a plurality of sides, a cover and a plurality of vertical dividers. The sides are fixed to the bottom and the cover is located to have open and closed positions with respect to the sides, opposite the bottom. The vertical dividers are arranged in first and second transverse orientations between the sides, forming vertical storage units for hanging lures. A plurality of ventilation and drainage holes are formed in the bottom panel, and the top and at least two of the sides are transparent to visible light. Each of the bottom, sides, and cover is formed of an impact-resistant thermoplastic having a thickness of at least 4 mm, such that the cover supports a weight of at least 220 lbs when in the closed position.

Abstract: A quiver assembly for detachable connection to an archery bow includes a mounting base connectable to an archery bow and a quiver releasably connectable to the mounting base. The mounting base includes a base portion and a first clip portion extending from the base portion. The quiver is adapted to hold at least one arrow and includes a rail with a first longitudinally extending edge that cooperates with the first clip portion during rotation of the rail with respect to the mounting base for releasably connecting the quiver to the mounting base.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to structures that are adapted to facilitate the retention, storage, and transport of arrows. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, for example, an arrow retainer is described that includes a resilient portion having a plurality of passageways extending therethrough for retaining a plurality of arrows therein. Each passageway is resiliently expandable upon insertion of an arrow to maintain the position of the arrow. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, for example, an arrow storage system is disclosed that provides an efficient and secure means of storing and transporting arrows. It is contemplated that the presently disclosed arrow retainer and arrow storage system may be used in conjunction.

Abstract: An archery quiver is provided. The quiver includes a hood and an arrow gripper device connected together by at least one stay. A mounting bracket assembly is provided that permits lateral adjustment of the quiver relative to the bow riser. The arrow shaft gripper is provided with cam assemblies with portions that are movable to provide an adjustable gripping force on the arrow shafts.

Abstract: This invention provides a portable or fixed device for organizing and transporting items utilized by fisherman, hobbyists, tradesmen and the like. It comprises a main compartment containing a plurality of trays in which the items are organized and stored, and side and top compartments for organizing and storing items that are less suitable for storage in trays, such as elongated items and tools. The trays are held in the main compartment by a plurality of removable elastic cords which span the open front of the main compartment at such heights as to engage each tray at a point along its height. Trays can be removed by displacing the cords. Elastic cords also are provided to hold items in the side compartments. A cutting or work board can be is mounted on the back of the device, and slip-resistant surfaces can be installed on the top and the bottom. Handles can be provided for carrying the device, or the device can be built into the structure of a boat, a vehicle, or a fixed structure.

Abstract: One embodiment of a buoyant fishing tackle box package is provided. The buoyant fishing tackle box package includes a buoyant fishing tackle box, a location detection system and a control device. The buoyant fishing tackle box includes a lower body member, an upper body member and a pair of handle members. The lower body member includes a weighted base portion which keeps the fishing tackle box in an upright position. The lower body member is hollow and substantially hemispherical in shape. The upper body member is hollow and substantially hemispherical in shape. The upper body member is removably engaged with the lower body member. The pair of handle members is attached to an outer surface of the lower body member. The location detection system is disposed on one of the lower body member and the upper body member. The control device is operatively coupled to the location detection system.

Abstract: Containers which may be worn by a user and into which small refuse items and other materials can be inserted for temporary storage or for later disposal using one or more fingers of one hand, are described. In one embodiment, a hollow body having a closed end and an open screw cap cooperate to hold a deformable septum having a slit or perforation such that small items may easily be inserted into the body through the slit wherein they are securely enclosed until the body is detached from the cap. The contents can then be disposed of in an acceptable manner or otherwise used. In another embodiment of the invention, the screw cap and septum are replaced by a cover closed at one end and having a slit or opening having radially disposed arms in the closed end for introducing materials into the hollow body through the slit. Larger containers may be set into cup holders for use.

Abstract: A box for storing fishing flies including a cover assembly having two dish-like cover portions, each having a continuous distal edge portion; and a hinge affording pivotal movement of the cover portions between an open position and a closed position with the distal edge portions of the cover portions opposed to and closely spaced from each other. A fly retaining assembly included in the box comprises a support plate that extends between the distal edge portions of the cover portions in their closed position, can be engaged by flies, can pivot relative to the hinge independent of the cover portions, and can be removed from between the cover portions when they are open. A layer of over molded sealing material provided on the support plate is in sealing engagement with the edge portions of the adjacent cover portions when they are in their closed position.

Abstract: A system and method for storing, cleaning, drying, and hunting with diaphragm game callers. In an exemplary embodiment, a sturdy, sealable, watertight container is adapted to house and secure one or more diaphragm callers in a fixed position. It also adapted to separate and hold apart the multiple diaphragms of each game caller. Further embodiments include means to facilitate rinsing, by a suitable rinsing agent, the game caller and all its surfaces, including between the separated and held apart diaphragms of the game caller. It may also include means to facilitate the drying of the opposing surfaces of diaphragms.

Abstract: An apparatus designed to protect the fletchings on arrows while the arrows are placed in a quiver, consisting of two covers made of durable material which may be hinged or attached at one end and lined with foam or a foam-like substance on the interior edges of the covers so as to protect the shafts of the arrows from damage. The covers are then closed around the arrow fletchings, and the entire apparatus serves to protect the fletchings from crushing.

The first base portion, the first, second, third and fourth sidewall portions, the lid portion and the first and second securing portions are integrally formed of a single transparent plastic sheet. The first and second securing portions are provided so as to elastically contact two sides of the merchandise for restricting movement of the merchandise.

Abstract: An arrow and bow storage and transportation apparatus includes a lower housing that has a bottom wall and a peripheral wall. The peripheral wall has an upper edge defining an opening into the interior. A first cover is hingedly coupled to the peripheral wall and positionable over the opening in a closed position. A perimeter wall is attached to and extends upwardly from the first cover. The first cover and the perimeter wall define an upper housing. The perimeter wall has a top edge defining an aperture into an interior of the upper housing. A second cover is hingedly coupled to the perimeter wall. The second cover is positionable in a closed position extending over the aperture or an open position exposing the aperture. A plurality of arrows is removably positioned in the upper housing and a bow is removably positioned in the lower housing.

The quiver has a stand with a closed position telescopically received within the body and an open position extending from the open lower end. The stand having three or more legs which provide support for the body in the open position.

Abstract: A light weight soft fly case for holding fishing flies that can be clipped on or removed via an integrated rotatable clip, to a belt, harness, suspender or pocket that makes them readily accessible with one hand to the fisherman. The light weight soft fly case would be rectangular in shape, be made from nylon and neoprene, with a one piece case construction, and with a one handed hook and loop closure. The light weight soft fly case would include a nylon gusset hinge limiting the opening to a 90 degree angle for easy fly selection. The light weight soft fly case would include an attached but removable ripple foam insert for providing a surface upon which fishing flies might be secured. The light weight soft fly case may include a transparent cover for easy fly identification.

Abstract: A fishing case equipped with compartments to separate, organize and contain all necessary tackle required in an easily accessible manor by the fisherman including pole, real, hooks, lures and bait in a secure protected manner. The entire case is constructed of a durable moldable material shaped in an rectangular tube with two outer shells that open on one side with hinges and both closeable and lockable for security and containment purposes. Each of the multiple compartments is self contained with its own openable and securable compartment to enable organization of the items carried as well as a separate insulated bait compartment permitting the carrying of live baits.

Abstract: A tackle container with barriers extending across the bottom of the interior cavity holds fishing lures in a fixed position and allows easy retrieval of each lure. Each barrier in the container includes a curved wall that converges with the bottom of the container. The barrier thereby forms a nesting space between the backside of the curved wall and the bottom of the container. A fishing lure fits under a barrier with its hooks wedged into the nesting space to hold the lure in a desired position. The barriers may be removable inserts having rails that slide into slots along the sidewall of the container. The inserts may be positioned in a variety of configurations.

Abstract: A culling buoy holder that includes multiple tubes laid side by side in a parallel fashion and affixed to a mounting structure or to each other. The tubes are sized in length and diameter such that a culling buoy may be inserted down through the bore of a tube, with a float first orientation, until the float dangles below the lower open end of the tube. Further, while tube bore sizes are large enough to permit the passing of a buoy float, they are small enough that the clipping apparatus comprising the opposite end of the buoy cannot pass. Advantageously, each buoy, once inserted through an individual tube of the buoy holder, is effectively separated from other buoys as it securely hangs in its individual tube.

A sheet of flexible transparent material is sewn to the backing over the light colored face. Also, the sheet of transparent material is divided into sections by a set of thin strips of material sewn onto the backing material through the transparent material, thereby forming a set of pockets from the transparent material and the backing material.

Abstract: Decoy bags are easily kept open to allow filling with decoys by using a round rigid collar opening in the top of the bag by inserting said collar opening into the decoy bag and securing said bag to the collar opening with a large cable tie. Onto this collar are fitted several ferrules which form a holding mechanism for bungee cords passing through said ferrules. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the collar is made of a plastic material selected from acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, high impact polystyrene or the like and has an indentation around the side so that the bag can be installed and tied.

Abstract: A scent lure is configured as a reusable container with two separate compartments, one for a scent wick and one for a disposable heating element. The compartments are separated by a common dividing wall and are independently accessible for ease of use. The separate compartments allow the heating element to be removed and/or replaced without contact with the scent wick and vice versa. Preferably, the heating compartment has vents to facilitate continued activation of a heating element during use. The vents are preferably configured to provide a chimney effect that creates a heated air flow over the sent wick for enhancing the lure's effectiveness.

One of the clamshell portions is hingedly coupled to the other one of the clamshell portions to permit pivoting of the clamshell portions between a closed position and an open position. A latching assembly includes a first mating portion and a second mating portion. The first mating portion is coupled to one of the clamshell portions and the second mating portion is coupled to the other one of the clamshell portions. The first mating portion mates with the second mating portion to releasably secure the clamshell portions in the closed position.

Abstract: An electronic marker device affixes a fishing rod to a fishing reel. The device includes a marker housing having a base and a cover to wrap around an arm of a fishing reel and enclose a foot of the reel and a rod of a fishing rod thereby preventing removal of the fishing reel from the fishing rod. The marker housing also supports an electronic marker so as to deter unauthorized removal of the rod and reel combination. The marker may be preferably an electronic article surveillance (EAS) marker.

Abstract: A gun safe door storage system is permanently affixed to an interior surface of a gun safe door. The door storage system comprises a plurality of integrated pouches or pockets and a rack arranged such that the pouches or pockets are accessible even when the rack is holding rifles or rifle parts, such as barrels. Substantially all of the available space on the interior surface of the door is filled with pockets or pouches. The pouches or pockets are affixed to a backing material having strength and weight sufficient to prevent sagging. The backing material is permanently affixed to the interior surface of the gun safe door. The rack comprises a barrel support and a stock support mounted permanently on the interior surface of the gun safe door over the pouches or pockets.

Abstract: A carrying case for sporting equipment, particularly hockey sticks and accessories such as pucks includes a block-shaped body which has an upwardly protruding carrying handle, a first longitudinally disposed, vertical side of the body which has formed therein a pair of longitudinally disposed, vertically spaced apart troughs, and a first side lid hingedly fastened to a lower edge of the body, the side lid having formed in an inner surface thereof a pair of troughs shaped similarly to those in the body. Stacked pairs of hockey stick handles are placed in either the lid troughs or body troughs, with the lid pivoted outwardly from the body to an open position; with the lid pivoted to a closed position in contact with the body, the lid and body troughs confront one another to form a pair of closed, longitudinally disposed channels which retain the handles therewithin. The lid is held in a closed position in contact with the body by releasably engageable fastener elements located on the lid and body.

Abstract: The invention is a fishing cooler that has wheels and a handle. The fishing cooler also features a plurality of cup holders, an externally removable and attachable rod holder, and a tackle box that can be attached either internally or externally. The fishing cooler has two internal compartments. The first compartment is for storing bait, and is smaller than the second compartment, which is for storing caught fish. Water can pass between each compartment, and a drain plug enables evacuation of all water inside of the cooler. Integrated on top of the cooler is a measuring line for such uses as measuring caught fish. The handle is hingedly connected at one side of the cooler, and extends when in use to enable the end user to pull the cooler behind he or she. The cooler may also include a drain cup and aerator that can be attached to either of the two drain plug holes. A portable light may be attached to the cooler.

Abstract: An archer's caddie includes a portable, freestanding quiver and bow support. The caddie is fabricated from solid plastic parts, which parts are attached with metal fasteners. The upper end of the caddie terminates in a padded bow support. A removable beverage holder can be disposed at two positions on the caddie. An array of receptacles is provided for containing accessories such as conventional arrows, crossbow bolts, shooting gloves, quick release, pencils, markers, etc. A base member defines the lower end of the caddie. The base member is weighted and designed with bent feet to enhance stability when the caddie is positioned on uneven surfaces.

The device includes a marker housing having a base and a cover to enclose the moveable socket of a fishing rod thereby preventing removal of the fishing reel from the fishing rod. The marker housing also supports an electronic marker so as to deter unauthorized removal of the rod and reel combination. The marker may be preferably an electronic article surveillance (EAS) marker.

The base unit further includes at least one fan for blowing air into the storage tray.

Abstract: A waterproof case comprises a pair of flexible waterproof elongated sidewalls extending from a first end and tapering toward a second end. The firearm case includes a waterproof seal about it's peripherally and includes a waterproof closure extending across the sidewall. The firearm case also includes a carrying handle along a reinforced top edge, a shoulder strap connected to the top edge at one end and to a reinforcing strap that extends along the sidewall at a second end. Also disclosed is a waterproof bag having a one piece angular sidewall that is rolled to form a tube and sealed along a seam. The bag also includes a pair of circular end walls sealed to the sidewall and a waterproof zipper that is sealed to the sidewall. The overall structure seals out moisture to prevent the contents within the bag from getting wet. The bag also includes a carrying strap that is secured to a pair of sealing strips that are then in turn sealed to the sidewall.

Abstract: A net holder for carrying a landing net has an upper housing in the form of a channel member with a downwardly disposed opening hinged at its rearward portion to the rearward portion of a lower housing in the form of a channel member slightly narrower than the upper housing with an upwardly disposed opening. The hinge is spring-biased to force the upper housing downwardly onto and over the lower housing to enclose a landing net therein. The front of the lower housing has a notch into which a handle of a net can be inserted and thereby secured. The holder can be attached to the inside or outside of a boat by any appropriate fastener.

Abstract: A piece of luggage has a closable case having an interior, a partition subdividing the interior into a gun compartment adapted to hold a gun and another compartment adapted to hold personal items. The gun is secured in place in the gun compartment. The case is elongated and has a long edge formed with an opening giving access to the other personal-item compartment and a short end formed with an opening giving access to the gun compartment. The partition extends longitudinally in the case. Alternately the case is formed by a pair of hard shells and the partition carrying the gun is pivoted between them.

A series of serrations on an external face of an annular retainer ring engage serrations on an internal surface of a cylindrical upper portion of the holster to retain the retainer ring and the encircled turkey call engaged with the holster. A reverberation chamber in the lower portion of the holster has an angled reflecting surface to bounce the sound vibrations emanating from the turkey call out an opening in the opposing side wall.

Abstract: A lure organizing device for permitting storage of lures to inhibit tangling of the lures during transport includes a base plate being insertable into a bucket. Each of a plurality of tubes is coupled to a top surface of the base plate. Each of the tubes extends upwardly from the top surface of the base plate. Each of the tubes removably receives one of a plurality of lures to organize the lures and inhibit the lures from becoming entangled. A handle is coupled to the base plate and extends between a portion of the tubes. The handle is graspable to facilitate lifting of the base plate and the tubes from the bucket.
