Abstract: An aspect provides an apparatus, including: a receptacle for an information handling device having a user display, the receptacle having at least a first side, a second side, and at least one edge, wherein the first side of the receptacle has at least one opening therein through which the information handling device is insertable there-through and the second side forms a back of the receptacle; a protrusion from the second side of the receptacle pivotably attached to the second side of the receptacle and of sufficient length such that the protrusion will wrap around an edge of the receptacle and cover the opening in the first side of the receptacle; and wherein at least a portion of the protrusion comprises thereon a mechanism that permits the edge of the receptacle to be held in position. Abstract: A non-limiting example cover includes a first cover portion that is provided with a plurality of operation buttons. Each of key tops of the plurality of operation buttons is constituted by a key top portion, an actuator and a conductive member. A connection portion of a conductive sheet is provided between the key top portion and the actuator, and the connection portion is connected, via a coupling portion, to a body portion that is provided on an outside of an area arranged with the key tops. The connection portion is connected to a protrusion provided on a lower side of the key top. Resin plating is applied to the protrusion, and when the key top is depressed and thus a portion of the key top portion where the protrusion is provided is brought into contact to the conductive member, the conductive member and the conductive sheet are electrically connected to each other via the resin plating.

Abstract: An accessory device for use with an electronic device is disclosed. The accessory device may include multiple layers. One layer may be formed from a plastic. Other layers may include a fabric layer and a silicone layer. The accessory device may further include a retaining feature designed to hold or carry an object, such as a stylus for use with the electronic device. The accessory device may include a recessed region suited to receive the retaining feature. This allows the retaining feature to be stored in the accessory device when the retaining feature is not in use. Further, the retaining feature may be co-planar with an interior region of the accessory device such that the electronic device is not disturbed when positioned in the accessory device. In this manner, the retaining feature may be hidden. Also, the retaining feature may be deployed from the recessed region and receive the object.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device is disclosed. The protective case includes a front cover, a back cover, and a relatively rigid shell. The front cover includes multiple fold lines that extend across the cover and allow adjacent regions of the cover to rotate or move relative to each other. The shell is configured to receive and retain the mobile device while providing user access to the mobile device. The shell has an outer surface configured to include a latch with an integrated hook. In operation, the latch hooks and retains one end section of the front cover to maintain the device in an angled use position when open. When in the fully closed position the latch fits within an aperture defined within a back end region of the front cover. Magnets incorporated into the front cover assist in maintaining the case in the fully closed position.

Abstract: Disclosed are covers for a mobile phone including aspects that protect the phone from impact and/or provide shock absorbance characteristics. Covers can include one or more protrusions that reduce the contact surface to the phone and dissipate energy. Advantageously, the one or more protrusions work with intermittent spaces to provide shock absorbing characteristics and reduce the contact surface area between the cover and the phone. In some embodiments, the protrusions can include a soft-side rectangular shape, where the protrusions are placed in an ordered array in the back wall of a cover. In some embodiments, the one or more protrusions can include a row of x-shaped protrusions interspersed with air pockets along the inside wall of the cover.

Abstract: A sleeve and case assembly selectively encase and protect an electronic device such as a tablet computer or smart phone. Each of the sleeve and case assemblies is constructed from materials having high impact resistance or toughness qualities. The sleeve assemblies comprise two substantially identical half shells each of which are constructed from the impact-resistant material and are internally configured or contoured to together define a device-receiving volume operable to simultaneously prevent internal device shift or movement while providing the impact-resistant casing. The case assemblies each provide an impact resistant device-encircling material usable in combination with a device-receiving and positioning cradle to cooperably and selectively display an electronic device when in an open case configuration and protect the electronic device when in a closed case configuration. The posterior cradle and cover portions of each case assembly face in opposite directions when in the closed case configuration.

The second member includes a perimeter portion that extends into the channel of the first member when the second member is coupled to the first member. The second member further includes a ridge that mates with the groove of the exterior bounding member of the first member. The impact suppressors are configured to be worn by a user below a bullet-proof vest to reduce the impact force from an impact, such as from a bullet or other projectile hitting the bullet-proof vest, thus reducing the likelihood of injury and/or bruising.

Abstract: A case for a mobile device with a screen, the case comprising a band arranged to surround the edge of the device. The band comprises a layer of flexible polymer and a layer of a damping material which is softer than the flexible polymer provided within the flexible polymer layer. The damping material has a plurality of integrally formed protrusions projecting inwardly protrusions projecting inwardly from a substantial portion of the inner periphery of the band to engage with the device. The protrusions are provided at least in the corner regions of the case and the protrusions are arranged such that, in normal use there is substantially no contact between the band and the device other than through the protrusions.

The apparatus system accomplishes this through the use of an inner case and an outer case. The inner case is enclosed within the outer case. The inner case partially surrounds the mobile device and functions as an attachment means for mounting to the outer case. The outer case houses both the inner case and the mobile device protecting them from accidental damage. The inner case is rotatably coupled to the outer case permitting the mobile device to be particularly oriented and positioned in order to enable facilitated viewing of the mobile device's display screen.

The first pair of brackets are selected based on the size and orientation of the electronic device. The brackets extend from a body, one or more rails, or both.

Abstract: Technology is provided for a storage card adapter. The storage card adapter is used for housing storage cards (e.g., M.2 storage cards), and the storage card adapter can then be inserted into a drive bay. The storage card adapter includes a compression latch system that, when engaged, brings together the cover and carrier frame of the storage card adapter such that at least 100 lbs of compressive force is applied to thermal pads disposed on either side of storage cards housed within the storage card adapter. The compression latch system includes a cam into which a shaft of a compression latch is inserted. When a lever attached to one end of the shaft is pivoted about the shaft, a ramp on the opposite end of the shaft engages with an engagement ramp within the cam to thereby pull together the cover and carrier frame and provide the desired compressive force to the thermal pads.
