Abstract: A packaging assembly is provided with a base that is sized to receive at least one shower door glass pane. At least one shower door glass pane is received within the base. A handle is mounted to the base. A plurality of projections extends from a bottom surface of the base to rest upon an underlying support surface and to reduce friction between the packaging assembly and the underlying support surface. The base includes a box with an opening formed in opposed surfaces of the box to expose a portion of the at least one shower door glass pane.

Abstract: A door unit in kit form includes a partially preassembled split doorjamb assembly, a door, and extensions. The partially preassembled split doorjamb assembly includes first and second side bases substantially parallel to one another and a header base substantially perpendicular to and interconnecting the first and second side bases. The door is arranged within a space defined by the first and second side bases and the header base of the partially preassembled split doorjamb assembly so that the door, the first and second side bases, and the header base collectively establish a cavity. The first and second side extensions and a header extension are unassembled with respect to and connectable lengthwise to the first and second side bases and the header base, respectively. The extensions may be stowed within the cavity and/or stored on outer surfaces of the bases.

Abstract: An accessory for preventing a pre-hung door from sagging in a door frame comprised of a retainer for supporting one side of the door on a lock jamb of the frame and a bolt which is slideable in the frame for preventing the door from rotating in the frame. The retainer has a “U” shaped portion which receives a lock jamb and an adjoining cylindrical portion which engages a bore in a door. The bolt is an elongated slender member having an enlarged end portion which engages a pocket in the lock jamb and a spur which resists a withdrawal of the bolt from the lock jamb.

Abstract: Door systems and door hardware components are described herein, along with methods of installing the door systems and components. The door systems include a bottom spacer that racks the door system in an opening in which the door system is being installed to facilitate proper spacing of the door after removal of the bottom spacer.

Abstract: The present invention provides a pre-hung door assembly containing a door slab hung inside a door frame. The margins (space between the perimeter of the door and the frame) between the door slab and the door frame are maintained using at least one door jamb margin holder, at least one door lock margin holder, at least one bottom margin holder, or combinations of these holders. The margin holders allow the margins to be maintained and prevent unwanted opening of the door during the shipping and transportation of the door assembly. The jambs of door frame may include predrilled holes for securing the door assembly to the door opening. Details for the door jamb margin holder, the door lock margin holder, and the bottom margin; and methods for installation of the door assembly are also provided.

Abstract: A nebulizer for a charged aerosol detection (CAD) system is disclosed. The nebulizer is provided with a spray emitter for generating a spray of droplets within a central region of a spray chamber. The central region is separated from an upper region by a horizontally projecting rib, which defines a passageway between the central and upper regions. The major direction of droplet travel within the upper region is substantially reversed with respect to the major direction of droplet travel within the central region. Larger droplets are unable to negotiate the turn from the central to upper regions and impinge on a rear surface of the spray chamber. Removal of larger droplets has the advantageous effect of enabling the detector to sense a smaller range of particle sizes, which establishes a relatively steady electrical current at the detector.

Abstract: A device for protecting a door includes a body extending over at least a portion of the door and two inserts, extending from opposing edges of the body between the door and the door frame. A rod attached to the two inserts and extending therebetween contacts a surface of the door and secures the device thereto.

Abstract: An improved packaging clip, packaging system, and method are disclosed for securing windows and doors and holding them square during shipment and installation. In one embodiment for a window unit, a packaging clip comprises a projection that fits into a jamb track channel in a window frame and a base that contacts and rests against the check rail of a window sash. The packaging clip may be fastened to each jamb of the window frame by a screw. A coupling member is pulled taught between the two packaging clips and fasteners are installed to attach the clips to the jambs and to secure the end portions of the coupling member to the clips. This holds the window frame intact and square during shipment and installation and, since the coupling member does not wrap around the outsides of the window frame, it does not interfere with installation of the unit.

Abstract: A packaging container for a load having a projection such as a nailing fin is made from two rigid U-boards. An inner U-board supports the weight of the window/door frame while preventing the nailing fin from having contact, directly or indirectly, with the ground or sides of the fin crate. The nailing fin provides one supporting wall for the inner U-board while a second, outer U-board provides a second supporting wall. Both walls prevent the inner U-board from spreading out or collapsing under the weight of the window/door. The inner U-board is formed as a continuous element or as discrete elements. The nailing fin is incorporated into the fin crate to form a support member and part of the packaging container.

Abstract: A door plug for securing a pre-hung door in a fixed, closed position relative to a door jamb assembly during shipping, delivery, and/or installation is provided. The door plug includes a bolt member and a fastener. The bolt member can include a collar and a shaft extending from the collar. The shaft can include a bore along a longitudinal axis and a first engaging portion distributed along the bore. The fastener can include a head and a shank extending from the flange. The shank can extend into the bore of the bolt member for sufficient engagement between the first and second engaging portions. The fastener and the bolt member are adapted to permit the fastener to be slidably inserted into the bore of the bolt member in a longitudinal direction without screwing, and adapted to inhibit the fastener from being pulled from the bore in an opposite longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A packaging container has a heavy duty integrated handle. The container is formed from a rigid unit of generally U-shaped cross-section having a main body portion with a generally flat bottom wall and upstanding, opposing sidewalls, wherein the bottom wall is reinforced with reinforcing material. Reinforced hand openings are formed in the reinforced bottom wall, configured for a user to insert a hand for use as the handle for the packaging container.

Abstract: A kit for installing a door assembly including a plurality of door frame brackets adapted to be attached to a door frame and to a wall having an opening in which the door assembly is to be installed and a lockset bracket adapted to be attached to a lockset hole formed in an edge surface of the door and to the door frame, the lockset bracket being operable to fix the door in relation to the door frame and the door frame brackets being operable to fix the door assembly relative to the opening.

Abstract: Packaging for one or more shower doors is provided where the doors are displayed to the consumer at the time of sale while associated hardware/header rails are secured from view, vandalism, and theft. The packaging provides a buffering frame around the doors. There are lateral wrap structures that retain the hardware and header rails, and end caps that provide locking cradles for the ends of the doors.

Abstract: A building fenestration that reduces the amount of time, effort and expense associated with installing a jamb in a rough opening of a building panel structure includes a jamb positioned plumb in the opening, the jamb having outwardly facing planar surfaces, at least one bracket receiving slot on at least one of the outwardly facing planar surfaces of the jamb, and a bracket having first and second legs at right angles to each other, the first leg of the bracket received in the bracket receiving slot and the second leg of the bracket fastened to the building panel structure, wherein the bracket receiving slot is defined between one of the outwardly facing planar surfaces of the jamb and a substantially flat plate.

Abstract: An installation kit for a pre-hung door assembly having a door frame and a door. The kit comprising a plurality of door frame brackets for attaching the door frame to an opening in a wall in which the pre-hung door assembly is to be installed, a plurality of door brackets adapted to be attached to the door and to the door frame, and a lockset bracket adapted to be attached to the door and to the door frame. The door brackets and the lockset bracket being operable to fix the door in relation to the door frame and the door frame brackets being operable to fix the door assembly relative to the opening.

Abstract: A precursor for forming a spacer and the spacer itself for protecting and holding a window frame within a carton or container. The window frame includes a flange. The precursor is a generally planar blank of corrugated paper having plural fold lines to facilitate the folding of the blank to form the spacer. The spacer has an elongated body having a first side and a second side opposed to each other. The first side includes a recess formed by confronting portions of the blank and is arranged to receive a portion of the flange of the window frame therein. The second side of the elongated spacer body is arranged to closely engage an adjacent interior surface of the carton or container.

Abstract: A system and method for installing an elevator door hatchway opening. The system comprises a steel square comprising a top piece, a bottom piece and left and right jambs, a door buck that is bolted to the steel square and at least one exterior hatchway door that is installed on a center portion of the steel square. The steel square is attached by at least one swing lock hinge to at least one elevator shaft way bracket while the steel square is angled outside of an elevator shaft way.

Abstract: A closure clip for a pre-hung door comprising a barrel, a barrel extension and a generally rigid fastening tab connected to the barrel opposite the barrel extension, the fastening tab having a reveal spacer tab and a jamb secure tab, whereby in operably fastening the closure clip to the pre-hung door assembly the barrel is inserted within the lockset bore while the barrel extension is inserted within the transverse jamb bore, the fastening tab extends from the door knob bore and across a portion of a face of the door and across a portion of the strike jamb, the reveal spacer tab is inserted in the door reveal and the jamb secure tab overlays a surface of the strike jamb opposite the door reveal and overlaying the transverse jamb bore.

Abstract: A pre-hung door having a door jamb and a door connected to the door jamb. The door has an opening formed therein for receiving door hardware. A pre-hanging door clip is operatively connected to the door and the door jamb to limit relative movement between the door and the door jamb. The pre-hanging door clip includes a movement limiting structure that extends through the opening in the door and that has one end thereof engaged with the door jamb. The pre-hanging door clip also includes a locking member that extends between the door and the door jamb to cooperatively interlock with the one end of the movement limiting structure such that relative movement between the door and the door jamb is limited.

Abstract: An improved corner guard for use on a pre-hung door assembly. The corner guard of the present invention is designed for use with a pre-hung door assembly that includes a door secured within a three-sided door frame in which the two vertical frame members extend in an offset manner below the bottom edge of the pre-hung door. In a preferred embodiment, the corner guard includes a bumper member for imposing a gap between adjacent stacked assemblies. A substantially flat transition flange member is attached to one end of the base of the bumper member, and together, the transition flange member and bumper member base form a retention barrier surface across the front corner region of the pre-hung door assembly to maintain the door securely seated within the door frame. A fixed side flange is affixed to the other end of the bumper member and extends approximately perpendicularly with respect to the bumper member base surface such that a right angle inner surface corner contour is formed therebetween.

Abstract: A door framing apparatus provided wherein a set of four spacer/retainer clips permits easy installation of a pre-hung door jamb assembly by a single installer. The clips maintain a uniform reveal space around the door, protects the assemblies from damage during shipping and holds the door together during shipment and installation.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a skid plate and a method for attaching the skid plate to the bottom surface of a pre-hung door assembly to improve wear and moisture resistance. The skid plate includes a first side having a first shaped portion configured to conform to the bottom end of a first doorjamb arrangement and a second side having a second shaped portion configured to conform to the bottom end of a second doorjamb arrangement. The method for attaching the skid plate to the pre-hung door bottom surface includes applying an adhesive to bond the skid plate to the bottom surface, positioning the skid plate so that the first shaped portion and the second shaped portion align with their respective doorjamb ends, engaging tabs against the frame side surface to the doorjambs, and driving fasteners through the skid plate and tabs.

Abstract: A one-piece, unitary installation aid is provided for holding a door in place relative to a door frame in a pre-hung door assembly during transportation and installation of the door assembly in a building. The installation aid includes a wall having a inner surface and an outer surface, a door clip extending from the wall inner surface and a jamb clip extending from the wall outer surface. The door clip is sized to fit over the door, and the jamb clip is sized to fit over the jamb. The door clip and jamb clip interact with the door and the jamb, respectively, to positively hold the door closed in the frame and to prevent pivoting of the door in the frame.

Abstract: A sterilizing container for holding surgical instruments or other sterilizing material during sterilization and for maintaining the sterilized condition during storage and transportation. The container has a body portion with at least one opening to permit exchange of media during the sterilization process. The filter is fitted in a sealing manner into the opening and permits at least a limited exchange of media and forms a barrier to microorganisms during storage. A self-closing inlet valve is provided so as to open toward the inside of the container when a predetermined pressure difference between external pressure and internal pressure is exceeded. A self-closing outlet valve is provided so as to open outward when a predetermined pressure difference between internal pressure and external pressure is exceeded. The filter is clamped in a holding frame and is supported all around on the holding frame with a form fit. The holding frame in turn is clamped on the edge of the container opening.

Abstract: A door hanging retaining alignment plug for a pre-hung door assembly. The pre-hung door assembly including a door having a first bore opening along its free swinging edge for accommodating a retractable bolt or lock and a second bore opening along a face of the door for accommodating a lock box and communicating with the first bore. The retaining alignment plug comprises an elongated strap formed of a flexible material and a cylindrical member projecting longitudinally from one end of the strap and adaptable for seating in the first bore. The strap being adaptable for extending outwardly of the second bore, across the face of the door and the marginal edge of the jamb and across a portion of the jamb face for securing the strap to the jamb face. The strap is secured to the jamb by a suitable nail or staple.

Abstract: A mounting system includes either a double wing bracket or a single wing bracket. A double wing bracket includes a U-shaped member adapted to embrace the opposite sides of a vertical pallet rack frame member. A plate is attached to the U-shaped member and includes holes for mounting hinge members. The hinge members are used to mount a door display frame for pivotal movement about a door display frame axis. A door frame and a door are mounted within the door display frame.

Abstract: A longitudinal warewasher section, of a warewasher assembly having a plurality of warewasher sections mounted end-to-end, includes a frame and a control box pivotally mounted thereto, where the control box is pivotable from a compact, shipping orientation to an installation or operating orientation. The control box preferably includes electrical controls that have been pre-wired to the electrical and/or mechanical components of the warewasher section. When in the shipping position, the rear face of the control box lies substantially flush against a lateral end of the frame and the side face of the control box is substantially flush with the longitudinal front wall of the frame such that the control box faces outwardly from the lateral end of the frame. In this orientation, the control box does not add to the total lateral width of the warewasher section.

Abstract: A door guard for protecting a door assembly including a door frame and moldings positioned about a door. Guide channels are provided on the base of the door guard for receiving tightening straps to secure the door guard to the door assembly. Raised ridges are provided on the outer side panels of the door guard to receive the tightening straps and communicate tightening pressure to the door guard. A raised block is provided on an inside surface of the door guard to maintain separation of the moldings in response to the tightening pressure. A pad is provided on an outside surface of the door guard to cushion the end of the door assembly.

Abstract: A door cartridge assembly is provided to be installed into a vehicle door. The assembly includes a door hardware mounting panel having door components mounted thereon and being constructed and arranged to be fixedly mounted to a vehicle door; coupling structure carried by the mounting panel; and a door latch assembly constructed and arranged to be secured to a vehicle door to provide a latch for the vehicle door. The door latch assembly includes a latching member constructed and arranged to be movable between a latching position and a releasing position. The coupling structure is constructed and arranged to receive the latching member in latching relation therewith when the latching member is in the latching position thereof, thereby permitting the mounting panel to be transported with the door latch assembly connected thereto.

Abstract: A frame-and-door unit includes a frame structure and a door. A first vertical frame of the frame structure is supported on one side portion of the door by hinges. When the door is closed, a second vertical frame of the frame structure is supported on the other side portion of the door by a latch bolt and a strike. The unit is bound tight with a band that extends across the door. Each of the vertical frames is formed having a band groove along which the band is passed. The unit, kept bound tight with the band, is fitted into a door opening of a building. The band is cut after the vertical frames are fixed to the edge of the door opening. The cut band is then removed from between the edge of door opening and the vertical frames.

Abstract: A first vertical frame of a frame structure is supported on one side portion of a door by hinges. A latch tacker is attached to a strike that is provided on a second vertical frame of the casing. The latch tacker has a shape such that a latch bolt of a lock body on the door can be held at least from both above and below. A latch bolt receiving aperture is formed in the latch tacker. The latch tacker is fitted into the strike, and the latch bolt is inserted into the latch bolt receiving aperture, whereupon the second vertical frame is supported on the other side portion of the door by the latch tacker.

Abstract: An apparatus for installing a pre-hung door unit including a door frame having an inwardly facing portion accessible from an outside facing side of the door unit and a door hingedly connected to the door frame. The apparatus includes a body having door edge portion connecting provisions for removably connecting the body to an edge portion of the door and frame connecting provisions connected to the door edge portion connecting provisions, for removably connecting the body to an inwardly facing portion of the door frame. The door edge portion connecting provisions include a door edge connecting portion having a first surface for contacting an edge surface of the door and the frame connecting provisions include a frame connecting portion having a second surface operable to contact a surface of the inwardly facing portion of the door frame.

Abstract: A package for packaging a plurality of frangible items, such as windows, doors and the like, includes a plurality of separate items, which includes a plurality of slotted upper and lower pads, a top sheet, a bottom sheet and end caps which are assembled together to form a package around the items. The items are disposed within the package in a side-by-side, spaced configuration. The top and bottom sheets overlay the top and bottom edges of the items, respectively. The upper and lower pads are sandwiched between the top sheet and the top edges of the items and the bottom sheet and the bottom edges of the items, respectively. The end caps overlay the side edges of the items and a portion of the middle section of the items while remaining portions of the middle sections exposed to view. Stretchable plastic film is wrapped around the package.

Abstract: An elongate fixture fastenable in pairs on the top and bottom edges of a door allows spaced vertical stacking of a plurality of horizontally orientated doors similarly equipped. The fixture provides an elongate generally rectangular body with two spaced handles on its outer face and four spaced door contacting feet on its inner face to contact a door fastened thereto by screws extending through the fixture and into the door. A first longer horizontally orientated side edge carries two spaced outwardly extending tenons and the opposed second longer side edge defines two similar cooperating mortises to receive the tenons of an adjacent fixture. The end portion of the fixture are wider between the longer side edges than the width of a serviced door, and no portion of the fixture extends over any door surface, except the top or bottom edges, to allow stacking of doors during surface finishing operations.

Abstract: A door display device is adapted to be mounted to a vertical support, and includes a rectangular display frame having a rectangular display opening therein. The display frame is pivotally mounted to a vertical support for pivotal movement about a vertical display axis. A door assembly may be fitted within the display opening of the rectangular display frame and secured in place. Indicia panels may be provided within the rectangular display opening of the display frame.

Abstract: A light-transmitting fire resistant glazing panel includes at least two vitreous sheets between which is sandwiched at least one intervening layer of intumescent material, for example, of hydrated sodium silicate. Two of the vitreous sheets are of different thicknesses and they are bonded together via the sandwiched intumescent material. The thinner of the two vitreous sheets is of conforming size to the thicker sheet and the thinner sheet and intumescent layer are shaped to leave the main face of the thicker sheet to which they are bonded exposed at a plurality of local marginal areas. This allows a hinge bracket 11 to be attached to the thicker sheet 1 at the exposed area 5 by a plurality of bolts leading through holes in the thicker sheet. The bolts may comprise sheathes, e.g. of nylon, or they may lead through bushes, e.g. of nylon, to avoid direct contact between the metal of the bolts and the glass if this is desired.

Abstract: A wrap useful as a structural element to prevent racking and jamb bowing of a window assembly and door assembly during transport and installation and, after installation, as an integral vapor barrier and air infiltration seal. The window and door assemblies each including a frame having an outward edge defining an outer face therebetween and an inward edge defining an inner face therebetween. The wrap including a film of material having an outer marginal edge secured between the frame outward edge and frame inward edge and stretched taut across a face of the frame to maintain the frame in an unracked position.

Abstract: A relatively rigid polymeric retaining device is provided for attachment to a pre-hung door assembly. The device includes a planar surface for placement against the door face and includes a cylindrical insert for placement within the hardware bore or opening. A stabilizer is attached perpendicularly to the device for assisting in spacing and holding the door in a fixed position relative to the frame. The retaining device is attached by small staples or the like and once the door is installed in a wall the device can easily be removed without damage to the door or frame.

Abstract: A retainer for securing and retaining a pre-hung door unit in a closed position relative to a door jamb. The retainer includes a shaped cylindrical plug configured to fit closely in the edge bore of the door. The plug is insertable into the edge bore through the face bore of the door and has lobes extending transversely to limit its entry into the edge bore. The placement of the transverse lobes maximizes the length of the plug extending from the lobes which enables an end of the plug to extend beyond the door edge into a bore in the strike jamb of the door jamb when the door is closed relative to the door jamb. A bolt extended through the back of the strike jamb and engaging the plug secures the plug in position and secures the door in a closed position relative to the door jamb. The bolt may be tightened adequately to clamp the strike jamb to the door edge. The bolt and the plug are provided with double lead blunt end threads for rapid assembly and disassembly.

Abstract: A door and decorative attachment therefor comprises a sheet covering all or a portion of the surface of a door, and having linear elements or pockets for readily and releasably holding the sheet to the door. The sheet may have visual elements, such as objects or scenes thereon, as by pasting, gluing, printing or weaving, and may have a support permanently or detachably secured to the sheet, for supporting an object such as wreath. The sheet may have a hole in registry with, for example, a handle, which extends through the hole.

Abstract: A device for fixation of the spatial interrelationship of upended and somewhat spaced apart frames is used in e.g. complete windows, including the frame, casement and window-panes.The device consists of a connection member which is arranged to be attached to the outer edge face of the frame. The connection member comprises a cross bar serving as an insert between two juxtaposed frames, and an interconnecting part of the member is arranged to be inserted into a recess formed in an adjacent connection member which is attached to a frame adjacent the first-mentioned frame. The interconnecting part and the recess are designed to matingly engage to interlock the connection members and consequently the frames.

Abstract: A method for assembling a door unit installation kit, together with a container that allows the kit to be conveniently packaged and displayed. The kit includes a door, jambs and other parts, designed to permit installation of a left or right-handed door, or inward or outward opening door. The container is characterized by at least a cardboard top and cardboard bottom piece that holds these door unit parts together. The cardboard pieces are folable into place around the door unit and have cut-out portions at appropriate locations to hold the door unit part securely in place. The kit is assembled by folding and inserting tabs into locking tab inserts of the container's pieces, and inserting the door unit parts therein.

Abstract: A bracket for fixing a prefabricated window to roof boards or sheathing in an inclined roof is already secured to the window main frame during the factory assembling of the window. The presecuring of the bracket is effected by a screw inserted through a hole in a positioning member which through a connecting portion consisting of a bridge and a rodlike member is integrally connected with one side edge of a first leg of the bracket. The first leg continues at its lower side into a second leg at right angle to the first leg. Before packaging the window for transportation the first and second legs are swung into abutment on the main frame by turning around the connecting portion. When the window is to be installed in the roof the first and second legs are swung through an angle of 180.degree. until the first leg abuts against the positioning member. In this position mounting screws are through the overlapping holes screwed into the main frame.

Abstract: A method for assembling a door unit installation kit, together with a container that allows the kit to be conveniently packaged and displayed. The kit includes a door, jambs and other parts, designed to permit installation of a left- or right-handed or in or out opening door. The container is characterized by at least a cardboard top and a cardboard bottom piece that hold these door unit parts together. The cardboard pieces are foldable into place around the door unit and have cut out portions at appropriate locations to hold the door unit parts securely in place. The kit is assembled by folding and fastening the container pieces, and inserting the door unit parts therein.

Abstract: To maintain a premanufactured sliding sash window assembly square and distortion-free during shipment and until completely installed in a building, the two vertical sides of the window frame are connected by a tension element which prevents outward bowing of the two frame sides. Protective clips are installed on the top and bottom rails of the exterior sliding window sash near the corners of the sash and are secured to the sash by adjustable clip and sash encircling bands. The upper sash clips include posts which are releasably anchored to interior faces of the window frame. The upper and lower sash clips include vertical spacing fingers which engage between the vertical edges of the exterior sash and opposing vertical faces of the window frame to provide proper spacing of the exterior sash relative to the vertical sides of the frame.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a shipping clip for use in a venetial blind assembly where the assembly includes an operable element moveable between a slat open and a slat closed position and which is operatively connected to a tilt mechanism for tilting slats of the blind assembly. The assembly also includes a mounting or guide means for mounting and guiding the operable element on a part of the window unit, for example, a glazing or frame member of the window unit. The shipping clip has locking means thereon adapted to engage said operable element in a slat fully open position to lock movement of the operable movement with respect to the mounting or guide means. The clip is applied to the operable element at the factory before shipping and is removed after the blind assembly has been installed at a building site.

Abstract: A packaged replacement window includes a rectangular carton and two wood window sash, one overlying the other, within the carton. In addition, the packaged window includes two jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies which are folded intermediate their ends and lie along the side walls of the carton outwardly from the side edges of the sash. The jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies when removed from the carton will open to a straight condition, and in that condition the jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies may be installed along the sides of a window opening where the sash may be engaged with them. A lid fits over the carton to completely enclose the sash and the jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies that are within the carton. All the components necessary to install the replacement window are contained within the package which is easily stored, transported, and otherwise handled.

Abstract: An elongated flexible strap member is provided including a lateral projection on one end portion thereof. The projection equipped end portion of the strap member is insertable into the transverse lock body bore of a door with the projection on the strap member received within the end of the lock bolt bore of the door opening into the lock body bore. When the door is pre-hung within a door frame, the end portion of the strap not equipped with the projection is deflectable across one side surface of the door between the lock body bore and the free swinging edge of the door, across the interface between the door edge and the opposing door frame portion across the frame portion and thereafter deflectable across and securable to the surface of the door frame portion opposite the surface thereof which opposes the free swinging edge of the door.

Abstract: A longitudinal sheet of paperboard has longitudinally aligned spacing elements for holding and containing substantially flat, frangible items resiliently spaced from each other. The sheet is adapted for wrapping the edges of the flat, frangible items for packaging and shipping. Rigid supports elevate the package above the floor for manipulation, as by fork lifts. A plurality of the sheets can be overlapped to form an adjustable, enlarged shipping container having a unique size adjusted to the size of the items packaged. The so-packaged items can be cinched tightly to form a tight, resilient shipping ensemble.
