Abstract: A protective sleeve for a spark plug includes a center electrode, an insulator, an attachment fitment having an attachment screw section formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof, and a ground electrode. A protective sleeve is disposed in a detachable manner on the outer periphery of the attachment screw section. The attachment fitment includes a flange section that has a diameter larger than that of the attachment screw section on a base end side of the attachment screw section. The protective sleeve includes a main body cylinder section having an inner diameter that is the diameter of the attachment screw section or larger, and smaller than the diameter of the flange section, a large diameter cylinder section having an inner diameter that is the diameter of the flange section or larger, and a step section formed between the large diameter cylinder section and the main body cylinder section.

Abstract: The packaging box includes an inner box body 20 and an outer box body 10 each made of paper. In the inner box body 20, a protection box portion 21 for protecting the screw portions 3d and the outer side electrodes 3e of the spark plugs 3 is formed by being bent. Screw portion insertion holes 30 capable of passing the screw portions 3d of the spark plugs 3 therethrough and bent tabs 32 being bent at the inside of the protection box portion 21 are provided on the upper surface of the protection box portion 21. The lower surfaces of the large diameter portions 3c of the metallic shells of the spark plugs are supported by the upper surface of the protection box portion 21 including the bent edges 31b of the bent tabs 32.

Abstract: In a package box for a plurality of spark plugs, a paper tray has an array of lower cellular boxes provided to accommodate lower portions of spark plugs to protect their spark gaps against dimensional alteration, and an array of upper cellular boxes provided to retain upper portions of the spark plugs in place. A casing package is provided to accommodate the paper tray. The lower cellular boxes have circular crease lines each about the size so that Individual thread portions of the spark plugs are to be inserted, and having a plurality of incision lines provided to be oriented radially toward central portions of the circular crease lines.

Abstract: A package for spark plugs including a packaging material blank which is folded to form two hollow wall portions which receive opposite ends of the spark plugs. An intermediate section which is intregally connected to the hollow wall portions and a tab if formed onto one of the hollow wall portions, so that the same side of the package material blank always points outwards. A cover or a sleeve is arranged to cover the follow wall portions and the intermediate section as protection against theft. Viewing windows, and tear tabs which are bounded by perforations permit the spark plugs to be checked and removed easily.

Abstract: An accessory tray (10) for use in the engine compartment of a vehicle. The tray (10) includes an aperture (24) for receiving a mounting stud (14) which extends upwardly from a carburetor (12). A pair of flanges (36) extends outwardly from the sides of the tray, and each flange (36) has a plurality of holes (38) therethrough for receiving spark plugs or tools. Securable to the underside of the accessory tray (10) is at least one inverted cup-shaped retainer (40), the retainer being selected so as to circumscribe the upper portion of the carburetor (12) for supporting the accessory tray (10).

Abstract: A package structure is disclosed. The structure comprises a lid and a base, both of a flexible material which is relatively reistant to elongation and compression. The lid and the base are movable relative to one another between an open position and a closed position. The lid has a central, substantially planar lid panel, and lid channel means which is integral with, and extends about a major portion of the periphery of, the lid panel. The base has a generally flat base panel, and a stepped base wall which is integral with, and extends completely around the periphery of, the base panel. When the lid and the base are in a closed position, the channel means and the step of the stepped base wall abut one another. The structure also includes a base insert adjacent the base panel, interior of said stepped wall. The insert is sufficiently stiff and extends into sufficiently close proximity with opposed portions of the base that it is operable to strengthen the base against flexing.

Abstract: A device for retaining and displaying a plurality of spark plugs having a multiplicity of offset openings therein in which spark plugs of varying sizes may be slidably received and frictionally retained in an orderly relationship.
