Abstract: An apparatus for storing a plurality of razor blades and for dispensing the razor blades is disclosed. The dispenser includes a housing having side and end walls which define a cavity for storing and dispensing razor blades. The open top of the dispenser includes rails along the tops of the sidewalls for guiding the blades out of the housing. A dispensing slot is provided between the top of one end wall and the rails. A resilient arm integral with the housing is located below the razor blades for applying an upward force on the razor blades against the rails and for aligning a blade to be dispensed with the dispensing slot. The entire dispenser is molded of a thermoplastic. A disposal slot is vertically aligned with the radiused end of the resilient arm for enabling disposal of used razor blades.
Abstract: A dispenser for double-edge razor blades includes a tray and a cover overlying the tray. The cover has side flanges for overlying the sides of the tray and inwardly extending projections for cooperating with inwardly directed locking surfaces on the tray to maintain the cover and tray in assembly. Openings are provided through the cover in registration with the inwardly extending projections such that the plastic molding of the cover can be accomplished without side action of mold parts. The tray includes a body portion and a pair of inwardly extending ledges spaced from the body portion defining a used blade compartment. The body portion has a pair of openings in registration with the ledges and having at least like lateral and longitudinal extent as the ledges whereby the tray may be molded without side action mold parts.
Abstract: The magazine comprises a platform upon which, in slidable disposition, are carried a plurality of blade carriers. The carriers are movable sidewise of the platform, and each such carrier defines a recess in which to nest a blade. The carrier recess is formed of a pair of limbs rising from a base, one of the limbs being integral with the base, and the other being pivotably coupled to an end of the base. The limbs have mutually confronting channels formed therein, with springs set therein, for receiving and latching therein a blade. The pivotable lime is so coupled to the base to allow it to slue and open the recess formed of the confronting channels, so as to release a blade held therein, and to accommodate its closure of the recess by its slueing in the opposite direction to latch and hold a blade in the recess.
Abstract: A holder is provided for microfiche or other types of flexible sheets. The holder comprises a generally rectangular body having first and second major walls supported in substantially parallel relation to define a cavity therebetween in the body. A slot is formed along one side of the body extending between the first and second major walls through which microfiche enters and exits the cavity. A labyrinth-type lock is provided for retaining microfiche in the cavity, consisting of a projecting lip adjacent the slot on the first major wall and a ridge positioned inwardly from the lip on the second major wall. An opening is formed in the first major wall opposite the ridge to permit microfiche in the cavity to be contacted through the opening and guided around the ridge and the projecting lip for removal.
Abstract: A dispensing container for double edged razor blades, the container comprising a storage compartment for a stack of blades and a dispensing opening at one end of the compartment, the opening being defined by portions of a single, integral moulding, which portions are substantially spaced apart in the moulded condition of the moulding, but are relatively movable into a final position in which they are closer together to define the dispensing opening.
