Abstract: A tray for organizing wrenches of various sizes in a multi-wrench set, in the form of a tray having a support base, front and rear walls, side walls and at least two rows of dowel elements, the rows being spaced apart from one another and the dowels of each row being spaced apart from one another such that a wrench can be engaged at each end thereof with a dowel of each row and disposed horizontally therebetween. The rows of dowel elements can be mounted directly to the base or can be provided on insert members which can be selectively placed on the base and selectively spaced from one another so as to accommodate the particular wrenches of a set.

Abstract: This invention to a case for storing and dispensing sockets from matching grooves. A desired socket can be visually selected through at least one of transparent end pieces which close opposite ends of the grooves. The desired socket can be dispensed by positioning a belt which wraps around the grooves to retain the socket therein, to bring an aperture opposite the groove matching the desired socket.

Abstract: A color coding system primarily for implements including tools or other hand-manipulated devices, whereby individual colors are applied to tools of a series having diverse sizes, such diversity of size following an orderly scheme, such as having like denominators with incremental numerator differences.

Abstract: A wrench holder employing a retaining bar and upstanding slotted holding member which in combination restrain the open-end heads of a wrench set. The restraining bar is mounted in angular spaced relation to the holding member whereby a wrench held in the invention must be rotated through a substantial portion of a 90.degree. arc before the handle is no longer engaged in a slot in the holding member and the shank and jaws are no longer constrained between the upstanding member and the restraining bar.

Abstract: A packaging technique which have a rotatable member and a stationary member such as an adjustable nut driver of chuck. The package encloses the tool and has at least one transparent section to reveal at least a portion of the tool, and a pair of access openings spaced about 180.degree. to allow manual digital access to the tool. Means are provided to restrain the stationary member of the tool upon rotation of the moveable member to thereby permit a perspective customer to manipulate the tool as well as view it visually.

Abstract: A tool holder is disclosed which holds tools, implements, equipment and other such objects within a container such as a five-gallon bucket. The tool holder is characterized in having an upstanding annular wall which extends along a partial sector of a circle and which carries at its lower end a radially inwardly projecting horizontal ledge. An outwardly and downwardly extending lip is formed about the upper circumference of the annular wall for releasable engagement with the upper rim of the bucket. With the lip engaged on the bucket rim the ledge is supported within the bucket. In certain embodiments openings are formed through the ledge for receiving and supporting the tools and implements. In another embodiment radially extending side walls and an inner wall cooperate with the annular wall and ledge to form a box-shaped container for holding the tools and implements.

Abstract: A storage case for keys including a pair of hinged walls securable together in a folded position by a zipper and including internal support surfaces provided with a plurality of spaced retainers, with each retainer being defined by a flexible loop for detachably supporting a key ring thereon.

Abstract: A holder for allen wrenches includes a hollow cylindrical housing and in interior cylindrical rod which holds the wrenches. The interior rod includes longitudinal channels in graduated widths, each channel terminating in a bore into the rod in which the head of the wrench is placed. The housing prevents the wrenches from escaping from their channels unless the interior cylinder is rotated into a position which exposes a wrench to a slot and thumb hole. A stand and handles for rotating the rod are provided. Locking means are also provided to lock the rod in the housing in a position where no wrenches are able to be drawn from the housing.

Abstract: A key selector device which comprises a switch means to be secured in the vicinity of the lock to be opened, and having an inners protrusion formed for pushing one of the actuating rods movably secured in alignment on the upper wall of a box, in order to enable one of the key hangers pivotably secured in alignment on a lateral axis supported by the opposing side walls of said box, to be angularly moved to a suitable position in which an enlarged triangular protrusion of said one of the key hangers which generally rests on one of the spring leaves, slides over a triangular curved portion of said one of the spring leaves secured in alignment on the rear wall of said box, while a foot portion of said one of the key hangers carrying a desired key projects upward.

Abstract: Disclosed is a drawer divider system for dividing a drawer in a tool chest or the like into a plurality of compartments. The divider elements comprise one-piece plastic strips having integrally formed resilient arms at both ends for engaging the opposed sidewalls of the drawer. The divider is provided with a plurality of upwardly facing recesses in the form of inverted sawteeth along its length so that the recesses of adjacently positioned dividers may support articles therein.

Abstract: A key holder is for keys with standardized heads of about the same width as standard key blades. The key holder includes a casing which has a flat base wall and a plurality of parallel, spaced-apart, elongated key compartment side walls extending integrally upwardly from the base wall to form a plurality of parallel key compartments. Keys are pivotally mounted in outer end portions of the key compartment side walls on removable cap screws and are pivotable about openings in the key heads and these cap screws from storage position inside of the casing to position for use of the key outside of the casing. Leaf springs, one in each key compartment, push the keys against the side walls with sufficient force to frictionally hold the keys in place each within its own key compartment whether or not one or the other of the cap screws is temporarily removed to insert or remove other keys.

Abstract: A storage/organizer unit for the fittings of detachable wrench sets of the polygonal socket and crowfoot design types. The units comprise a base member with one or more rows of spaced holes adapted to removably receive a multiplicity of circularly cylindrical posts of various diameters corresponding to the standard drive dimensions of the detachable wrench sets. The posts have tapered bosses on the bottom to be removably inserted into the spaced holes and the upper cylindrical post is of two styles: Tapered, or stackable, and straight sided, which latter can be used to hold, for example, several of the crowfoot design. The tapered design permits easy removal and replacement of the several kinds of individual fittings. The base member can have a magnetic material impregnated therein for mounting on iron or steel surfaces, or can incorporate on the bottom surface, a "non-sticky" adhesive for affixing to non-magnetic surfaces.

Abstract: A portable hand carried kit for a set of wrenches or similar small tools including a hollow elongated case having a hinged cover. A nest of varying sized and shaped wrenches and the like are housed in parallel relation within and pivotally mounted on a pin extending transversely of and approximately midway of the case and wherein one end of the case and its cover has at least a two-stepped opening therein, whereby a selected tool may be pivotally moved to project through its aligned stepped opening and is supported and clamped therein when the cover is closed and secured to the case so that the latter functions as a handle for the tool during use thereof.

Abstract: A tool kit and protective cushion which can be connected to the saddle bar of a bicycle. The device is comprised of relatively soft material with recesses formed therein in which tools can be received. The material surrounds the saddle bar. This protects the thighs of the rider as the bike is being peddled. Additionally, should the rider slip off the seat, the groin area is also protected.
