  • Patent number: 11373790
Abstract: An organizer for a plurality of metallic objects has a nonmetallic housing and a magnetic core. The nonmetallic housing has opposing top and bottom external surfaces. A ridge projects from a periphery of the top external surface. The magnetic core attracts metal towards the geometric center of the top external surface and towards the ridge at the periphery of the top external surface. In some implementations, portions of the magnetic field attract metal in the directions: (i) perpendicular to the geometric center of the top external surface; (ii) outward from the geometric center of the top external surface; and (iii) toward the ridge on the top external surface. Implementations have the magnetic core with a square cross section and north and south poles separated by a distance substantially less than the width of the substantially square cross section, and with its magnetic field in the shape of a torus.

Abstract: A needle package (1), particularly for packaging needles (N), has a hold-down device (23) that is disposed in an interior space (I) and serves to secure the needles (N) in the interior space (I). The hold-down device (23) is formed, for example, by one or two resilient elements, such as clamping lips (24, 25), which extend transversely to the needles (N) through the interior space (I). The clamping lips (24, 25) are disposed on the inside of a segment of the package (1) that is moved toward the needles (N) after the package has been filled, so the clamping lips (24, 25) rest against the needles (N). The segment can be formed, for example, by a lid segment (12) that is seated to pivot on the receiving area (3) of the package (1). This package can be filled particularly simply, and is suitable for various types of needles.

Abstract: An improved key caddy device includes a rectangular strip of flexible sheet material that forms a case by overlapping the transverse edges and fastening them together with a first fastener assembly, e.g., a two-part snap button fastener, fixed to the strip. A key ring is carried, advantageously in a grommet, on the strip adjacent one of its longitudinal edges to receive one or more keys. A folded sheet bearing text, e.g., a printed road map, is enclosed within the flexible case and held therein by a second fastener assembly, e.g., two pieces of Velcro.RTM..
