One embodiment is directed to a camera which includes a lens system for capturing images and a lighting system providing key light above the lens system and providing fill light below the lens system. A processor controls one or more operations of the camera, including automatically enhancing the captured images and presenting the enhanced images on a display. The system and method for modifying visual perception may also be directed to a video camera mirror system, a seating system, a cosmetic package, a lipstick packaging, a polarized mirror, an illuminated cosmetic brush, a personal portrait photography management system and an illumination system for modifying visual perception.

Abstract: A lipstick tube case comprises a housing for receiving the tube of lipstick therein, means for securing the tube of lipstick within the housing such as tension clips or graduated o-rings, and a cover removably coupled to the housing for maintaining moisture therein. The housing of the lipstick tube case may further comprise a shaft which receives the shaft of the tube of lipstick, the shaft comprising means for engaging and rotating the shaft of the tube of lipstick. The means for securing the tube of lipstick within the housing is capable of receiving and engaging various sizes and styles of lipsticks.

Specific solvates of the compound include a formamide solvate and a partially desolvated solvate. Also disclosed are methods of making previously known forms of Ritonavir. Methods of using the novel forms of Ritonavir for the treatment of diseases, such as HIV-infection, are disclosed, as are pharmaceutical compositions and unit dosage forms comprising the novel forms of Ritonavir.

When the cap of the present invention is placed on the base of the case the bellows expands in response to the compressing of the air located within the inner chamber of the case, thus preventing the cap from being pulled away from the base. The secondary housing has an upper end that extends into a lower end of the main housing. The main housing includes a spring loaded split cap that encloses the upper end of the main housing and a hard stick of candy is secured to the upper end of the secondary housing and contained within the main housing. Moving the secondary housing into the main housing pushes the candy upwardly to open the split cap and to expose the candy for consumption. If the candy is not completely consumed, the secondary housing is pulled outward from the main body and the remaining candy will be drawn into the main housing for storage.

The body of the package is in the shape of the stick, one end is closed and has a sealed vent aperture, the other end is open, broadened and sealed. An empty dispenser (now with its used up stick elevator platform removed and discarded) is coupled to the refill containers open broadened end in a close fitting engagement.

Abstract: The invention comprises a transparent, molded undercap which fits over the open end of a lipstick type case from which a lipstick or other similar waxy mass is propelled and which engages the shoulder of the case normally engaged by the lipstick cap when it is in place. The undercap is sized to fit snuggly within the lipstick cap yet permit the cap to be removed while the undercap remains in place over the lipstick. Preferably, the open end of the undercap has a size and shape which is substantially identical to that of the cap so as to form an even closure with the lipstick case whereby a tamper indicating or resistant means, such as an adhesive tape or a shrink band, may be applied across the juncture between the undercap and the case to secure the undercap in place and seal the lipstick. In this manner, the lipstick cap may be removed from the lipstick case to view the lipstick while the undercap remains in place to protect the lipstick.

Abstract: Apparatus for crushing a plurality of metal containers into a unitary compacted unit and the method associated therewith. A first power operated ram which reciprocates within a compaction chamber. A supply of cans is introduced into the compaction chamber preferably by a predetermined weight measurement. The door between the supply source and the compaction chamber is operated by movement of the ram and its associated platen. Each sequential charge of cans is compressed in the compaction chamber until a compacted unit of predetermined size and weight is established. In another embodiment depressions may be provided to eliminate the need for pallets in handling groups of compacted units. A moveable floor member is opened to permit the compacted unit to be delivered to an underlying discharge chamber. A second powered ram moves the compacted unit out of the compactor while preferably, simultaneously restoring the floor to a closed position.

Abstract: A lipstick applicator device which includes a pair of wedge-shaped compact halves interconnected at the relatively thinner side edges of the two halves to facilitate pivotation of the two halves from a cooperating closed position to an open position in which the halves are in back-to-back relation and are collectively wedge-shaped in configuration. Each of the wedge-shaped compact halves includes a compartment adjacent the narrow side of the wedge half which receives a lipstick insert block. Each respective lipstick insert block has an arcuate groove formed therein in which a contoured body of lipstick is positioned. The contoured bodies of lipstick cooperate, when the wedge-shaped compact halves are opened, to form a lipstick mold into which the lips of a user can be pressed to apply a relatively uniform coating of lipstick.
