Abstract: A method for manufacturing an object, such as a tray includes providing an unfolded sheet; providing a straight score line in the unfolded sheet for providing a division between a wall part and a flange part; folding the flange part of the sheet relative to the wall part along the score line to provide an angle larger than 45° between the flange part and the wall part; providing a plastic foil; heating the plastic foil; pressing the heated foil on the sheet at the side provided with the score line and covering at least part of the wall part and the flange part; the sheet having at least one U-shaped cut interrupting the score line. The free ends of the U-shaped cut are positioned on the score line. The bridging part of the U-shaped cut is positioned in the flange part.

Abstract: A bottle support assembly positioned within a chilled chamber of a refrigerator appliance includes a support panel, a first support, and a second support. Each of the first support and the second support are pivotally mounted to the support panel and are movable between a collapsed position and a raised position. In addition, the first support and the second support each define concave support surfaces which may be positioned at different heights and may have different radiuses of curvature for supporting bottles having any size and at any angle.

Abstract: Multifunctional bottle-holder case, comprising a lid (11) provided with edges (14) and a containing frame (12) provided with walls (16) suitable to define a containing compartment (20) suitable to contain at least one bottle (21). Abstract: A shipping container for glass bottles such as are used with wine or juice is provided. The shipping container has a lower tray and an upper tray which fit inside of a cardboard box. The upper tray engages the shoulder of the bottle rather than the neck or cap of the bottle and thus holds the bottle more securely and with less risk of damage to the bottle or shipping tray when the cardboard box is dropped or when weight is placed thereon.

Abstract: A display container is provided herein which includes a box portion having a base portion, spaced-apart upstanding first and second end panels, and spaced-apart upstanding first and second edge panels extending from the base portion. The first and second edge panels are located between the first and second end panels, and the first edge panel extends a lesser distance from the base portion than the first end panel and the second end panel. The display container also includes a reinforcing layer which may be formed of a material stronger in shear than the material of the box portion. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a display container may be formed which has greater strength both for product containment and stacking as compared to the prior art.

Abstract: A package includes an article group formed of cylindrical articles disposed on their sides in a side-by-side parallel fashion, and a carton disposed around the group. The carton includes a top wall, opposed side walls, end walls and an article dispenser. The side walls are disposed alongside the ends of the articles while one end wall is disposed adjacent to the side wall of an endmost article. The dispenser is formed from the end and top walls and includes at least one retaining panel to hold all the articles in the carton until removed by the user.

Abstract: A product display system for disposable absorbent article containers is provided. The product display system includes a first stacked product array including a first set of individual disposable absorbent article containers and a second stacked product array including a second set of individual disposable absorbent article containers. Each individual disposable absorbent article container contains a first and second visible graphic such that when the individual containers are stacked appropriately the combination of visible graphics forms a continuous larger visible graphic. The set of stacked product arrays maintains the continuous larger visible graphic, even when some individual containers from the product display are removed or missing. A method for enhancing the visibility and recognition of a product display system is also provided.

The carrier can include a plurality of panels comprising a bottom panel, a first side panel foldably connected to the bottom panel, a second side panel foldably connected to the bottom panel, a first top panel foldably connected to the first side panel, and a second top panel foldably connected to the second side panel. At least one container-receiving feature extends in at least the bottom panel. The at least one container-receiving feature can at least partially receive at least one container of the plurality of containers. At least one retention flap is foldably connected to the first top panel or the second top panel. The at least one retention flap engages at least a portion of a flange of at least one container.

The box further includes an insert to be arranged on the floor, wherein the insert is implemented depending on the products to be received by the box.

A first lateral portion in a single body with the central portion is foldable with respect to the central portion and to the first lateral wall, while a second lateral portion is connected to the second lateral wall and foldable with respect to the central portion and to the second lateral wall. Each tab is foldable into a flat configuration, such that the central portion assumes an angled configuration. The tab central portions are connected to the base wall and when folded by an angle with respect thereto, they are distanced apart by a distance corresponding to the transversal dimensions of a bottle and define there-between a housing for receiving the bottle in a horizontal configuration.

The beverage container package includes a first side panel, a second side panel, a top panel and a first intermediate panel. The top panel extends between the first side panel and the second side panel. The first intermediate panel extends between the first side panel and the second side panel. The first intermediate panel is in a spaced-apart relationship with respect to the top panel. The first intermediate panel has a plurality of first apertures formed therein. Each of the first apertures is adapted to receive one of the beverage containers.

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting liquid-filled containers having removable closures contacting an interface at one end, in a manner to attenuate escape of gas from the containers between the closures and the interface has a supporting framework and at least one insert within the framework, the insert engaging the framework and presenting a surface having a plurality of indentions in the shape of the liquid-filled containers, each indention conforming to shape of one of the containers in a manner that a container placed in the indention is supported with an axis of symmetry of the container at an acute angle with horizontal and with closure end down, such that liquid in the container surrounds the closure and interface, so gas will not escape between the closure and the interface.

Abstract: A clamshell package is provided for holding and displaying a consumer product that comprises a bottle and a cap. The clamshell package comprises a first clamshell side and a second clamshell side, wherein at least a portion of the first and second clamshell sides are affixed together to hold the consumer product between the first and second clamshell sides. The clamshell package further comprises an aperture through which at least a portion of the cap of the consumer product extends from the clamshell package. The clamshell package is therefore able to hold and display the consumer product, while allowing a consumer to access the cap of the product in order to smell or to sample the product. A clamshell package is further provided for holding and displaying a consumer product comprising liquid composition contained in a tottle.

Abstract: A method of at least one embodiment of the present invention for packing a TAB tape is a method in which the TAB tape is wound on a core reel so as to be packed, the TAB tape being a tape-shaped insulating film on which circuits are provided in a repeated manner, the circuits each of which is made up of metal wiring and a solder resist. In at least one embodiment, the method includes a first step of winding at least the TAB tape on an outer peripheral surface of a core reel having a cylindrical shape, the core reel having a shaft hole on its inner peripheral side. This makes it possible to provide (i) a method for packing a TAB tape which method makes it possible to reduce a packing size, and (ii) a smaller packing structure for a TAB tape.

Abstract: A wrap-around style or end-loaded carton for enclosing articles such as cans in multiple rows is formed from a single blank of sheet material, and includes a three-ply top wall and an integrated composite handle that is centrally located so as to balance the load in the carton when the handle is raised to an upright position. The top wall includes an outer panel, and intermediate panel, and an inner top panel, each hingedly connected to another. The composite handle is struck from the outer panel and the intermediate panel and is liberated or partially detachable therefrom so as to be hingedly connected to the top wall, and rotatable to an upright position. When the handle is raised, at least a portion of each edge of the top wall is reinforced by at least one additional layer of carton material, and thus, is at least two plies thick.

Further assistance is provided in holding the secondary male locks in the vertical lock position between two containers by the containers having flexible side walls and carrying a liquid whose weight pushes out against the walls of the container and creates tension in the wrap-around carrier thereby holding the secondary male locks in the vertical locked position.

For instance, the device can have five or six stiff segments connected by living hinges, at least three of which face outward and the other(s) inward in relation to the looped member. The device with six stiff segments can fold up so as to be placed inside a beverage container. As well, a dispensing device can have a member upon which a can or carton can rest and a reversible can-stop connected to it. The can-stop can be formed by a small, reversibly folding loop at one end of the member. In general, cylindrical objects exiting an opened carton can be restrained by providing a dispensing device having a generally flat base member and a can-stop; placing the base member under the objects in the carton with the can-stop outside the carton; and allowing at least one of the objects to roll from inside the carton to outside the carton where it is stopped by the can-stop.

Abstract: The present invention is a wrap-around carrier for bottles that has a large opening with rounded corners in the end walls and has a sloping end panel on each end that slopes inwardly as it rises towards the top panel. This carrier may have a circular window or a rectangular window with rounded corners in each side wall. This carrier may also have a tear strip in the top panel and sloping end panels so that a substantial portion of the top panel and sloping end panels can be removed converting the carrier into a tray. This carrier may also have an elongated handle in the top panel with slits extending into the sloping end panels to dissipate the stress from carrying the carrier.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a container apparatus and method for packaging contoured articles, particularly contoured articles containing hazardous substances. The container apparatus comprises a base member, upstanding sidewall members foldably emanating from the edges of the base member, and an article retaining member foldably emanating from the top edge of at least one of the sidewall members. The article retaining member is positionable toward and into the inner region of the container so as to form an acute angle with the sidewall from which it emanates. The article retaining member further includes an article retention edge to engage, stabilize, and prevent undesired movement of the contoured article(s) housed within the interior region of the container apparatus. In particular, the article retaining member prevents migration of the contoured articles in a vertical plane, in a horizontal plane, and in a rotational direction.

Abstract: A sleeve style carton for a bottle matrix where the bottles may be either of the short neck type or the long neck type. The carton includes body corner flaps that are wrapped around the bodies of the corner bottles of the matrix. Preferably each body corner flap is of a height not substantially greater than the height of a bottle's label and is positioned so as to substantially overlie that corner bottle's label when the carton is filled with the bottle matrix. This allows label indicia to be provided on each body corner flap that simulates that portion of the bottle's label indicia visible when the bottle's label is viewed on the bottle in front plan view, thereby making it appear to a casual observer that the bottle's label itself is being viewed in front plan view when the bottle matrix is in the carton regardless of the rotational position of the corner bottles relative to the matrix.

Abstract: A carton for packaging two layers of stacked flanged tubs. A top panel overlies the tops of the upper tubs and a layer board lies between the two layers. Reinforcing flaps connected to the layer board are adhered to the side panels of the carton. The side panels contain openings through which portions of the tub flanges protrude. The bottom edge of the lower openings engage the underside of the tub flanges when lifting the package to thereby support the lower tubs.

Abstract: A bottle organizer includes a tray having a U-shaped open-ended channel for insertably receiving a plurality of food product containers such as bottles with baby formula. The tray has a bottom with a pair of upstanding U-shaped walls that have opposing spaced-apart surfaces defining the channel. Indicia is disposed at the open ends of the channel denoting an entrance and an exit respectively. Fastener elements such as suction cups may be employed to hold the tray onto a storage shelf and the length of the channel is substantially equal to the length of the plurality of bottles or containers held within the channel between its opposite ends. An ancillary storage compartment is defined in the central area between opposing surfaces of the inner wall.

Abstract: A plurality of substantially identical bottles each have a generally cylindrical body centered on a bottle axis and having a lower end and a ring on the lower end and of greater diameter than the respective body to project radially therepast. A plastic case has a plurality of side walls each formed by at least one lower web with a relatively large window opening and inner walls spaced inward from the side walls and defining therewith a plurality of seats each centered on a respective normally upright seat axis. A respective relatively short outer retaining formation projects radially of the respective seat axis below the respective window from the respective lower web into each seat and has an inner edge spaced from the respective seat axis by a distance equal generally to half the outside diameter of the bottle ring.

Abstract: An article carrier which tapers in toward the top panel on all four sides. The carrier in collapsed form is folded about an intermediate fold line in the bottom panel located so that the collapsed carrier is in flat folded condition. The provision of the intermediate fold line compensates for the greater width of the bottom panel compared to the width of the top panel. The sides of the carrier are squared by contact with the lower portions of bottles being through an open end of the carrier.

Abstract: An article carrier for packaging a one-row group of bottles is disclosed. The carrier comprises opposed top and bottom walls hingably interconnected by a pair of opposed side walls to form a tubular structure. The top wall is adapted to be disposed over the tops of articles in a row. The bottom wall has article receiving apertures for receiving the necks of the articles respectively. The side walls are adapted to be disposed alongside the necks of the articles such that at least a portion of the neck of each articles is hidden from view. The carrier further comprises article retaining means disposed intermediate the top and bottom walls such that the tops of the articles are retained between the top and bottom walls of the carrier.

Abstract: A carrier is provided for a brick-type container. The brick includes interconnected side and end walls, and an upper closure structure having folded portions overlapping and extending downwardly along a portion of each of the end walls. The carrier includes a top wall panel, a pair of side wall panels foldably connected to the top wall panel, and a pair of retention strips substantially vertically disposed and extending between the side wall panels. Each of the retention strips defines an upper free edge spaced from the top wall panel. The retention strips are foldably connected to the side wall panels, whereby the side wall panels and the retention strips together surround the brick and the free edges engage a lowermost end of the folded portions of the upper closure structure of the brick.

Abstract: A wrap-around carrier with end panel flaps which block the price code on adjacent packaged articles. The end panel flaps are connected to the side panels along angled fold lines which bias the end panel flaps in position against adjacent articles. This results in a small gap between the end panels and the bottom panel which is covered by flaps connected to the end panel flaps. The cover flaps are connected to tuck flaps which lie between the bottom panel and an associated cover flap. The articles rest on the cover flaps, holding them, and thus the connected end panel flaps as well, in place.

Abstract: A transit packaging having a reduced content includes a blank of a corrugated cardboard having flutes in a longitudinal direction. A first and second transverse score are made at opposite end regions of the blank defining side panels of the packaging. A plurality of longitudinally aligned pairs of notches are at opposite ends of the blank. A retainer releasably retains like containers onto the blank preventing relative sliding movement. A plurality of straps, each positioned in one of the aligned pairs of notches, wraps about the blank when the like containers are retained on the blank.

Abstract: A composite carrier (10) has a handle structure (20) with a hand-gripping portion (22, 23) in upright relation to an attached article-engaging panel structure (24, 25). In one embodiment of the handle structure (20) the panel structure is a pair of panels (22, 23) formed from flexible sheet material. Each sheet (22, 24) has at least one deformable aperture (31) for engaging the neck of an article (31). In an alternate embodiment of the handle structure (40) the panel structure is a panel (44) attached in generally perpendicular relation to the hand-gripping portion. The generally horizontal panel has at least one neck-receiving aperture (46). Each neck-receiving aperture (46) has at least one foldably attached tab (48) extending inwardly into the aperture for engaging the flanged neck of an article such as the crown of a bottle. The second part of the composite carrier (10) is a tubular, wrap-around type carton (30) having top, side and bottom walls.

Abstract: A carrier with both a bottom panel and an upper panel containing openings through which the necks of packaged bottles extend. The upper panel is comprised of adjacent sections foldably connected to a central handle panel and to an intermediate panel. The latter panel also contains bottle openings and is foldably connected to a central vertical support panel. The arrangement permits loading by placing bottles on the bottom panel and pushing down on the handle panel, which causes the upper panel sections to pivot down over the bottles. Support tabs may surround the bottle openings in the upper panel to engage shoulders on the bottle necks.
