Abstract: A method of forming bundles of glass articles is provided. The method includes transporting individual glass articles to an insert building station using a conveying system. The glass articles are individually located within article receiving slots of a layer separation insert using the conveying system. Each slot of the layer separation insert receives a single glass article forming a glass article layer of side-by-side glass articles. Multiple glass article layers including layer separation inserts are stacked using the conveying system forming a bundle. The layer separation inserts provide a barrier between adjacent glass articles of each of the glass article layers to inhibit glass-to-glass contact.

Abstract: Disclosed is a test tube rack designed to hold a plurality of test tubes suspended in a bath. The rack is a unitary design having an outer rim with an internal diameter sized to fit over a rim of a vessel that forms the bath. The rack includes a plurality of openings sized to fit a test tube. A top end of each opening includes a plurality of raised portions and a plurality of lowered portions. The raised portions support an outwardly flared rim of a test tube placed in the opening and thus suspends the test tube in the vessel. A central hub joins the plurality of openings together. The rack is formed from a temperature resistant material and can be utilized with both cold and hot baths. The rack is economical and readily scalable to work in conjunction with a variety of vessel sizes.

At least one elastically deformable locking protrusion mounted proximate to the lower end of the absorber plates lockingly engages an available lower edge disposed in the cell sidewall above its bottom end. This fixes the tubular insert axially in the cell, thereby preventing its withdrawal after installing the insert. Abstract: A neutron absorber apparatus for use in restoring reactivity control to a nuclear fuel rack. The apparatus comprises an elongated tubular insert assembly configured for insertion in a storage cell of the rack. Abstract: A method for encapsulating a fuel rod or a fuel rod section in a container includes inserting the fuel rod or fuel rod section into the container. One of the ends of the container is connected to a purging-gas line. The container is dehydrated and purged by use of a purging gas. Abstract: The present invention discloses a combination unit and method of multiple membrane shells. The combination unit of multiple membrane shells is formed by bundling multiple membrane shells in parallel, wherein the raw water port and the concentrated water port of each of the membrane shells are respectively connected and sealed with the raw water port and the concentrated water port of the adjacent membrane shells to form the shared raw water port and the shared concentrated water port which are respectively connected with the raw water pipeline and the concentrated water pipeline. Since each of the combination units of multiple membrane shells is provided with the shared raw water port and the shared concentrated water port, it is adequate to finish the assembly of the shared raw water port with the pipeline and the assembly of the shared concentrated water port with the pipeline in the engineering installation. The combination unit of multiple membrane shells can be placed horizontally or vertically.
