Abstract: A container includes a housing having an open top and a lid attached to the housing. The lid includes a first panel having a first edge and a second edge, a second panel having a first edge and a second edge, and a third panel. The first edge of the first panel is attached to the housing at a first hinge. The first edge of the second panel is attached to the second edge of the first panel at a second hinge. The third panel is attached to the second edge of the second panel at a third hinge. The lid is positionable in a first position and a second position. When the lid is in the first position, the lid covers the open top of the housing and the first hinge and the third hinge form a virtual hinge. When the lid is in the second position, the lid forms an A-Frame over the open top such that the second panel forms a display platform. The third panel maintains the lid in the second position.

Abstract: A laptop computer carrying case and stand includes a substantially planar bottom panel, two planar side walls parallel to one another and fixedly attached perpendicular to and adjacent opposing edges of the planar bottom panel, and the side walls have top edges distal the bottom panel. A substantially planar rear wall is fixedly attached perpendicular to the planar bottom panel and the two planar side walls. A top member having at least two substantially planar and rigid sections is hingedly connected adjacent a top edge of the rear wall panel and hingedly attached at an opposing edge to a second of the rigid sections. A top member positioning means is included for removably engaging the sections of said top member in at least one inverted V pattern for the purpose of supporting a laptop computer an angle to a user.

Abstract: A display carton, convertible between a closed configuration and an open display configuration, is used for storing and displaying a packaged product therein. The display carton comprises a base member and a lid member connected to the base member and foldable into a built-in stand-up display or support system. The lid member is folded back behind a bottom wall of the base and a front flap of the lid containing a tab can be folded out to minimize the angle of elevation of the carton, such that the contents therein cannot slide or fall out. In the closed configuration, a fastener is placed at a portion of the lower edge of the front flap, i.e., the tab, and a portion of the bottom wall of the base member, such that the adhesive spans two generally perpendicular surfaces for a secure closure.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a package which allows a product to be displayed. In one embodiment, the package of the present invention can stand alone independently on an integrated cardboard base or can be hung from a bracket or shelf as a point of sale display. In another embodiment, the package of the present invention is able to be separated into its component parts so that such parts can be, if so required, independently recycled. In still another embodiment, due to its ability to be separated the package of the present invention can comprise various components formed from dissimilar materials (e.g., paper and plastic).

Abstract: A container for at least one elongate object, in particular a pen, comprising a case having an opening for introducing and removing the object, and a closure device which is pivotably coupled to the case and which can assume at least three pivotal positions, namely a first pivotal position in which it at least partially closes the opening, a second pivotal position in which it at least partially opens the opening for introducing or removing the object and a third pivotal position which is between the first and second pivotal positions. The lid opens in clamshell fashion and then swivels around and folds down over the back of the case so that the back of the shell nests in the lid. The lower case is formed of a resin material, and includes a floor that has a curved surface with a predetermined curve radius at either end thereof, and a plurality of wiper suspending supports formed to protrude upward from an upper surface of the floor. The wiper suspending supports suspend a rubber blade of the wiper from the floor when the wiper is placed thereon. The upper case is formed of a resin material to enclose an upper surface of the lower case.

The cover includes a display panel, a base, and at least one positioning tab. The positioning tab is configured to engage a back wall of the tray so as to keep the display panel positioned at a predetermined downward angle relative to the back wall for easy reading of a display label having product information, when the display container is in the display position.

The bottom plate includes a hand-held hole for carrying and two fixed pieces used to fix the side rectangular bodies. In addition, each of the side rectangular bodies comprises an embedded slot, and the lower side plate and the upper side plate both include an inner side piece. When the lower side plate and the upper side plate are folded inwardly, the inner side pieces can be embedded into the embedded slots of the side rectangular bodies to divide each of the side rectangular bodies into two rectangular sub-bodies and form a lower rectangular body and an upper rectangular body between the side rectangular bodies.

Abstract: A case for storing, carrying and displaying a handheld stringed musical instrument includes a main body incorporating an instrument receptacle, the body having a narrowed upper end portion for receiving the neck of the instrument and a widened lower end portion for receiving the body of the instrument, the case further including an articulated cover securable to the main body for reversably covering the instrument receptacle, the cover also being hingeably connected along a linear edge of the widened lower end portion of the body, foldable beneath the main body, and attachable to a medial portion of the back side of the main body. The case may also incorporate a humidifier in a portion of the case below where the neck of the instrument is positioned. The humidifier includes a container having a perforated lid. A damp sponge is placed within the container, thereby maintaining a relatively constant level of humidity within the case, when closed.

Abstract: A case for a personal digital assistant (PDA) that allows the PDA to be elevated in an angled standing position when the case is opened is provided. In this manner, the PDA is presented to the user in an easily accessed orientation without the need to remove the personal digital system from the case or to attach any separate stand or bracket. In an illustrative embodiment, the case includes a base section and a cover that is attached in a hinged manner to the base section. The cover can be folded back to reveal the enclosed PDA screen and buttons. When the cover is rotated back to a predetermined position, at which the base and cover form an acute angle, a securing strap is attached between the base and the cover preventing the base and cover from spreading apart beyond the pre-determined acute angle.

Preferably, the mating line extends obliquely upward from the bottom, across the ends of the case, and across the top. A divider separates the internal volume of the case into two compartments, each accommodating one pair of eyeglasses.

The apparatus includes a cover having individual rigid segments which are hinged together, with a storage tray secured to one of the segments. The apparatus can be transformed from a storage position wherein the segments are folded to form an enclosure surrounding the tray and protecting its contents, into one of many angled display positions wherein the tray is exposed. The angled positions mount the tray at an angular orientation best suited to the particular user performing a particular dental procedure, while the cover and tray provide for aseptic conditions and minimized cross-contamination of the dental equipment and material.
