Patent number: 11987429Abstract: A child resistant pill container includes a locking feature, which can be unlocked using a knob. The knob can be a rotatable knob or a slide knob. The knob will be fixed or locked in place until being released/unlocked by squeezing an actuator. The squeeze action allows the knob to move out of its fixed position and move by either rotation or linearly sliding. The motion of the knob moves a lock bar from its locked position to an unlocked position. While the lock bar is in the unlocked position, one or more of the lids can be unlatched and lifted from their closed position to an open position. When the knob is released, a spring action returns the knob back to the fixed (locked) position, moving the lock bar back into the locked position, and any lids still in the closed position are again locked in place.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2021Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Inventors: Daniel Darst, Jennifer Joy Kallemeyn

Patent number: 8746454Abstract: A secure package (1) for drugs, blocks access to the drugs such that, to gain access to the drugs, the user must execute two simultaneous actions. When one of the actions is interrupted, access is rendered impossible. The secure package includes a case (2), a blister (3), and an elastic biasing system (4). The blister (3) is a cellular card pack for dispensing pills. The blister (3) is mobile and can be moved in translation in the case (2) by being slid on its base wall (16). Thus, the blister can take up two positions, namely an initial rest position, wherein the position of the cells (10) does not correspond to holes (19) formed in the base wall (16) and a so-called active position, wherein the cells (10) are in a position corresponding to the holes (19) in the base wall (16).Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2006Date of Patent: June 10, 2014Assignee: A.C.D.Inventors: Eric Doucet, Corinne Doucet
