  • Patent number: 8204561
Abstract: A one-piece co-formed exterior hard shell case with an elastomeric liner formed on the interior of the exterior hard shell for mobile electronic devices. This hard protective exterior shell allows the device maximum protection from impacts with sharp objects while the interior elastomeric portion that provides shock protection for the device from impacts. The exterior hard shell part is formed to fit the device closely with a small offset from the devices surface. The exterior hard shell raps around the edges of the device. To allow the shell to be able to be mounted on the device the comers of the hard shell are cut open. This allows each sidewall to flex away when a device is inserted and snap back once it is in place. The elastomeric material fills in the gaps created at the comers of the exterior hard shell to allow flex for mounting.

Abstract: A paper pallet for packaging comprising: a load bearing base and a packaging protective frame, wherein the load bearing base is composed of a plurality of vertical supporting components and a plurality of horizontal supporting components. The load bearing base is composed of the vertical supporting components and the horizontal supporting components intersecting and subsequently interlocking with each other, and the packaging protective frame is composed of a plurality of side boards. Therefore, the side boards intersect and subsequently interlock with each other to form a packaging protective frame, which is inlaid at a set distance from the edge around the load bearing base to form a paper pallet for packaging. Thus, the paper pallet for packaging is formed by combining the packaging protective frame with the load bearing base to become the packaging box for delivering goods.

Abstract: Improvements in a single and dual stage wafer cushion is disclosed where the wafer cushion can use an edge hinge as a single first stage cushion and a second mid span hinge for the dual stage wafer cushion. This dual stage design gives two distinctly different cushioning forces as opposed to using a single stage design where the force is linear with the amount of compression that is being applied to the outer surfaces of the wafer cushion. The outside edge of the ring provides the greatest expansion such that only the outer edge of the ring makes contact with the outer edge of a wafer. The wafer cushion is a material that flexes and absorbs shocks before the shock is transferred to the wafer stack. The material minimizes debris or contaminants from embedding into the wafer cushion and also prevents sheading of material from the wafer cushion.

The casing interior is provided with flexible shock absorbing support(s) on which the non-vulnerable portions of the instrument are laid whereas the delicate and vulnerable portions are held suspended in mid-air. As soon as the casing is closed, the supports get deformed acquiring a loop-shaped structure to encircle and cradle the instrument-parts which overlie thereon and in doing so the instrument is rendered securely captive against any movement In case of accidental impact the stress generated is borne by the soft lining of the casing and by the shock absorbing supports, rendering the instrument unharmed. The shock absorbing supports are advantageously detachably secured to the inner walls of the casing by retaining means. • Patent number: 7703608
Abstract: An inkjet cartridge packing mechanism having a cartridge storage box and a carrier fixer that uses the inside of a printer for storing an inkjet cartridge in order to save packing space of the printer. The packing mechanism further attaches the carrier of the printer to the carrier fixer and fixes a plurality of star wheels at the paper-feeding outlet by a flap connected to the carrier fixer, which can prevent movement of the carrier or dropping of the plurality of star wheels during transport. The saving of packing space by the packing mechanism can effectively reduce cost for transporting printers.

Abstract: A protective case for handheld devices with improved protection characteristics, durability, convenience of use, and functionalities without compromising aesthetics. The protective case includes a ā€œgloveā€ or ā€œskinā€ piece of a softer material that substantially covers and grips the entire back of the electronic device, by wrapping over the edge of the electronic device (without obscuring the display/touch screen on the front of the device). One or more separate complementary frame pieces, braces and the like made of a hard material are attached over the glove piece, extending over a substantial area of the glove piece, thereby creating a robust interlocking hybrid structure. Openings are provided in the protective case to allow for user interaction with the device, including access to the interfaces (e.g., screens, buttons, sockets, etc.) provided on the device.

  • Patent number: 7648031
Abstract: The invention provides a symmetrical, corrugated fibreboard blank which can be folded into an insert configured to be received within a shipping container. A product can be protected and secured by the insert. The symmetrical design results in ease and speed of assembly regardless of the orientation of the blank along the end user's packaging assembly line. The 5-sided shape of the insert produces void spaces that the products cannot reach, thus creating natural air cells within the insert. The ends, tabs and panels of the insert also provide for minimal movement of the product within the insert and further provide layers of cushioning upon impact. The insert can secure a variety of different sized products, is environmentally friendly, inexpensive and space-saving.

  • Publication number: 20100000907
Abstract: To provide a packing implement for goods transportation that facilitates packing of an article to be transported, and has a baseboard 6 and a holding sheet 7. The baseboard 6 is a board for supporting an article 1 at a fixed position, has upward and downward fold-back parts at both ends and both side parts, and is formed, at a junction point where lines for bend marked for folding back join, with a polygonal opening 15 having its vertices at the positions of lines for bend. The opening 15 serves as a starting point when folding back to prevent the fold-back parts from deviating from preset lines for bend, and after folding back, eliminates pointing of a part projected to the side to prevent an outer casing 3 from damage. The holding sheet 7 is tensed by bend of the baseboard 6 to press the article 1 to the baseboard 6, prevents the article 1 from slipping and holds it at the fixed position.

Abstract: A packaging container for a load having a projection such as a nailing fin is made from two rigid U-boards. An inner U-board supports the weight of the window/door frame while preventing the nailing fin from having contact, directly or indirectly, with the ground or sides of the fin crate. The nailing fin provides one supporting wall for the inner U-board while a second, outer U-board provides a second supporting wall. Both walls prevent the inner U-board from spreading out or collapsing under the weight of the window/door. The inner U-board is formed as a continuous element or as discrete elements. The nailing fin is incorporated into the fin crate to form a support member and part of the packaging container.
