Patent number: 7418782Abstract: The technique of the invention manufactures a gas storage tank, which includes a gas absorbent/adsorbent and is capable of storing a high-pressure gas. The manufacturing process of a hydrogen storage tank first assembles a heat exchanger unit and packs the particles of hydrogen storage alloy into the heat exchanger unit. The manufacturing process then blocks hydrogen storage alloy filling holes used for packing the hydrogen storage alloy in the heat exchanger unit and attaches a detachable cover member to a hydrogen inlet. The manufacturing process subsequently locates the heat exchange unit filled with the hydrogen storage alloy in a cylindrical tank and narrows both ends of the tank to form joint openings. The manufacturing process then heat-treating the tank under water cooling and detaches the cover member. The manufacturing process attaches joint assemblies to the joint openings and forms a reinforcement layer around the outer circumference of the tank to complete the hydrogen storage tank.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2004Date of Patent: September 2, 2008Assignees: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Kabushiki Kaisha Toyota JidoshokkiInventors: Masahiko Kimbara, Daigoro Mori, Takehiro Nito, Hidehito Kubo, Akiko Kumano, Makoto Tsuzuki, Yoshihiro Isogai

Patent number: 6574834Abstract: The present invention refers to a new manufacturing solution for a plastic hinge which is particularly advantageous for manufacturing rigid cases, especially glasses cases, by giving it an absolutely original appearance and by using an absolutely new technique through which a snap opening and closing of the case is obtained, even with the type of plastic hinge which is applied to any type of rigid half-shells. The main characterizing feature of the present invention is to provide for the manufacturing of a single plastic element 10 to join the two half-shells (A, B) of a case, said element 10 consisting of two surfaces to be fixed to the edges of the half-shells (A, B) and joined each other longitudinally by an intermediate U-shaped surface 13 having a minimum thickness suitable for giving it the necessary flexibility, said surfaces being further hooked together by one or more springs aiming to flex said surfaces to make the half-shells (A, B) snapping in the opening or in the closing position.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2002Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Assignee: Giorgio Fedon & Figli S.p.A.Inventor: Callisto Fedon

Publication number: 20030051727Abstract: The subject matter relates to an overcap (10) containing a desiccant (30) for use with a metered dose inhaler (12) to adsorb moisture. The overcap advantageously reduces the amount and rate of moisture ingress into the metered dose inhaler. The operation of metered dose inhalers containing agroscopic drug particles is improved by reducing moisture ingress.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2002Publication date: March 20, 2003Inventors: Richard J Haan, Craig Steven Herman, Vincent P Pisculli Jr

Patent number: 6431351Abstract: A case for a pair of far-sighted eyeglasses includes an upper and a lower half case, a pair of far-sighted eyeglasses and a pen. The upper and the lower half case have a soft cloth, and the lower half case has a position block in an intermediate portion to stabilize the far-sighted eyeglasses with the nose bridge of the far-sighted eyeglasses lying on the position block. The lower half case has a shaped retaining block respectively at two opposite sides for keeping a pen stably. Thus the case contains both the pair of far-sighted eyeglasses and the pen for carrying to wear and write. A hang hook is also provided on an outer surface of the upper half case to be hanged on a pocket.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2001Date of Patent: August 13, 2002Inventor: Linus Lin

Patent number: 6398017Abstract: A case, particularly for glasses, or similar, consists of two hinged (3) stiff half-shells (1, 2). According to the invention, the two half-shells (1, 2) are shaped in such a way as to be able to progressively fit one into the other, when the case is in the closed condition, while having different reciprocal snap closing positions (9, 10) corresponding to different positions of progressive insertion of the one (2) into the other (1).Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2001Date of Patent: June 4, 2002Assignee: Studio Promozionali S.N.C.Inventor: Aldo Cafiero

Publication number: 20010004053Abstract: A multi-purpose eyeglass holding and cleaning kit capable of storing a pair of eyeglasses and including a body with an outer shell constructed of a durable material, the body having a selected length, width and thickness which defines a generally elongate article with a first end and a second end and defining, in combination, a hollow interior suitable for receiving in inserting fashion the pair of the eyeglasses. A hingedly secured portion is secured to the body at a desired location and is actuated from a closed position to an open position in order to reveal an interior of the shell interior and to permit the insertion or removal of the pair of eyeglasses. A volume of a glass lens cleaning solution is contained within the shell at a selected location, the cleaning solution further including a dispensing pump incorporated within the body. A flap defined on an inner face of the shell interior supports a fabric material is contained within the shell.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2001Publication date: June 21, 2001Inventor: David Taormina
