Patent number: 5708565Abstract: A thermal and shock resistant data recorder assembly as an outer container (1) containing an inner container (2) which in turn houses one or more data recorder elements (3). The elements (3) which have a thin conformal coating thereon are encapsulated in an innermost cavity (4) of the inner container (2) in an Ester wax material which absorbs heat when changing from a solid to a liquid. An outermost cavity (8) surrounds the innermost cavity (4) in the container (2) and in turn contains a first insulating material which gives off water vapor when heated to absorb heat. Surrounding the inner container (2) in the outer container (1) is a second insulating material. The Ester wax material is enabled to leak when liquid into the outer container and from thence, if necessary, to the exterior of the outer container. This permits pressure equalization. The first insulating material is provided with a fusible material plug which melts under heat and allows the vapor to escape to the exterior of the assembly.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 1996Date of Patent: January 13, 1998Assignee: British Aerospace Public Limited CompanyInventor: Terence M. Patent number: 5615769Abstract: A sports ball bag provides for the drying and warming care of a sports ball during the course of a ball game. The bag is particularly adapted for the care of one or more footballs placed therein, as would be used in the play of amateur and professional football games, but may be used for the care of balls used in other types of ball games as well. The bag is formed of a waterproof outer cover (e.g., vinyl) having an openable side closure and opposite openable end closures thereby allowing the cover to be laid out flat. A removable and replaceable moisture absorbent liner (e.g., a terry cloth towel) may be secured within the cover in order to dry the ball and to provide some thermal insulation properties. A warming device, such as a chemical hand warmer packet, may also be placed within the bag to warm any balls or other articles placed therein. The end closures are preferably draw strings in order to provide rapid access to the interior of the bag.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1995Date of Patent: April 1, 1997Inventor: Stanley L. Patent number: 5511390Abstract: A pendant locket holder for keys and other articles comprising a casing being a pair of complementary half-sections with each half-section having a recessed chamber. An element flexibly connects the longitudinal edges of the half-sections together. The half-sections may be moved from a substantially coplanar relationship in an open position of the casing to a closed position, wherein the half-sections are in a juxtaposed relationship. An assembly on the opposite longitudinal edges of the half-sections is for releasably holding the same in the juxtaposed relationship, when the casing is in the closed position. A component is formed within each recessed chamber in each half-section of the casing for retaining the keys and other articles therein. A structure is for suspending the casing from about the neck of a person, so that the person will always maintain access to the keys and other articles held within the retaining components in the casing.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1994Date of Patent: April 30, 1996Inventor: Mon Dod Mah

Patent number: 5205404Abstract: A shipping container for decorative wreaths comprising a box having two ends and four sides with three inserts each having a base and four side walls installed in the box. The base of each insert has a tube hole formed through it and an elongated tube extends through the tube holes perpendicular to the bases from one end of the box to the other. The wreaths and inserts slide onto the elongated tube through the ends of the box. To prevent moisture given off by the wreaths from condensing and rotting the wreaths and from being absorbed by the cardboard of the container, ventilation holes are cut into the box and inserts. Ventilation holes in the ends of the box are also used for carrying the container. To further prevent the cardboard from absorbing moisture, one side of the box and each insert is treated with a moisture barrier and a curtain coating is applied to the middle strip of the inserts.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 1992Date of Patent: April 27, 1993Assignee: Mickman Bros. Patent number: 5169261Abstract: A pre-packaged bituminous sandstone material, which can be applied to damaged pavement areas at ambient temperatures, is prepared by comminuting bituminous sandstone in the presence of water to form an intimate mixture of bituminous sandstone having particles which pass through a one-quarter inch minus screen, preferably through a one-eighth inch minus screen with sufficient water, to form a material having a water content of from about 3% to about 20%, based on the weight of the mixture. The mixture is then packaged in a vapor-proof container, to maintain its water content. Damaged pavement is subsequently repaired simply by removing the mixture from the container and applying the material, at ambient temperatures, to the damaged areas.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1991Date of Patent: December 8, 1992Inventors: James L.
