Abstract: An improved sealant packaging and method for use with sealing joints and cracks in pavement and parking lots is provided. Liquid sealant material is poured by volume into a container draped with a sheet. Container is cooled so that the sealant becomes a solid block, with the sheet adhered to the sides of the sealant block such that the sheet forms a container for the sealant. The sheet also acts a release liner for easily removing the sealant block from the container. Two or more contained blocks are stacked together, forming a package of two or more blocks self-sealed by sheets. When the package is placed in a melting kettle, heat migrates through the spaces between the individual sealant blocks and allows the smaller sealant blocks to melt quickly and evenly. Sheet and film melt with sealant material and are incorporated therein to form the final sealant product.

Abstract: A cleaning-disinfecting system may be utilized for one or both of cleaning and/or disinfecting medical devices. The cleaning-disinfecting system may be a portable battery-powered medical device washer-disinfector. The systems, devices, or methods may be specifically designed for use at home or other contexts and can wash and disinfect single or multiple medical devices simultaneously. The cleaning-disinfecting system may automatically reprocess medical devices placed within the cleaning-disinfecting system. Abstract: A packaging method and packaging material are disclosed. In accordance with one aspect, a method for forming, filling, sealing and flash freezing a liquid extract or concentrate in a continuous ribbon format is described. The packaging material uses a continuous ribbon of a cold-formed foil base with multiple pockets arrayed in a pattern and a heat-sealed foil cover. Following sealing, the continuously formed strip of product is passed through a freezing medium, optionally perforated alongside the pockets to facilitate separation of individual pockets from a sheet, and then cut to size for convenient and space efficient final packaging, storage and transportation.

Abstract: Systems and methods to encode sounds in association with containers, as well as systems and methods to recognize encoded sounds associated with containers, are described. The containers may include various structures to encode sounds. Responsive to opening of containers, the various structures may emit the encoded sounds. An audio capture device may receive the encoded sounds, and a computing device may process the encoded sounds to identify audio signatures within the encoded sounds. The audio signatures may be matched with known audio signatures to identify the containers and/or information associated with the containers.

Abstract: A fastener system includes a fastener or nail for mounting objects on a surface and a corresponding plug for filling a hole left when the nail is removed from the surface. The nail and plug are formed of an engineering plastic, and may be formed from recycled materials. In embodiments, the nail and plug are joined by an arm which is easily broken away. In embodiments, the fastener and plug each have a plurality of flanges which provide strength and grip the surface.

Abstract: Described are systems, methods, and apparatus for injecting dunnage into a container after an item has been placed in the container and the container has been sealed or otherwise closed. A dunnage injection apparatus is configured to penetrate a surface of the sealed container and expel gas and dunnage into an interior space of the container. The gas fills the expelled dunnage forming gas-filled pouches of dunnage that fill voids within the interior space of the container and secure and protect the item within the container.

Abstract: A pad of dispensable adhesive tape segments is shown and described. The pad includes a protective envelope and a number of tape segments. The tape segments are arrayed such that detachable pull tabs for each are exposed for grasp. The envelope may include a strip folded over onto itself and adhered in place. The envelope is pulled open and may be adhered to an environmental surface. Tape segments have adhesive of weaker adherence than the adhesive of the envelope so that when pulled by a pull tab, each tape segment preferentially releases from the next, but the envelope maintains adherence to the environmental surface. Adhesive lined tabs initially holding the envelope closed may also be used for adherence to the environmental surface. Preferably used for medical tape, the envelope is waterproof to maintain sterility of tape segments.

Abstract: A method of fabricating coffee pods at a point of sale location using a coffee pod dispensing device with shell less, expandable coffee pods. The fabrication is initiated by tactile input from a control panel that determines the parameters of the coffee pods to be fabricated and generates the operational signals for the dispensing device. Fabrication there after progresses sequentially through a series of operations that involves the loading of the coffee pods onto a pod advancing means which then takes the coffee pods through the steps of expansion, filling, sealing and delivery. To accomplish this the pods are compressible pods arranged in a linear array that allows for pleated or stacked storage in a pod loading means within the device's enclosure, as well as continuous feed capabilities.

During testing, test gas(es) desorbed by the vessel may be evacuated, with the molecular flow being measured using a mass extraction unit.

The method includes initially feeding a substantially continuous fastener stock from a supply, engaging at least one engagement notch, urging the fastener stock forward, feeding the fastener stock to a needle assembly, cutting a fastener from the fastener stock, and inserting the fastener into an article.
