Plural of the short holes are arranged in each of the unit blocks so as to be arranged between long edges of adjacent elongated holes of the elongated holes.

The upper and lower shaker screens are releasably mounted on the basket. The at least one lower shaker screen is mounted at a level below the level of the at least one upper shaker screen and underlies the at least one upper shaker screen. The flowback pan is disposed between the at least one upper shaker screen and the at least one lower shaker screen and overlies at least a portion of the at least one lower shaker screen. The flowback pan directs the screened material passing through the at least one upper shaker screen to the at least one distribution conduit.

    Abstract: A bypass diverter box disposed upstream from conventional solids control equipment of a mud system of a drilling rig contains a drilling mud separation unit having a continuous-loop scalper screen that is driven in a continuous loop to separate, convey and discharge large amounts of gumbo, heavy clays and drill solids at the end of the separation unit. The flow divider box is a box-like housing with a verter plate, upper and lower baffle plates and a grate that allows drilling fluid or drilling mud to be selectively directed to the mud separation unit to be separated prior to passing to the conventional downstream solids control equipment or allows the fluid to bypass the separation unit and flow directly to the conventional solids control equipment.

    Abstract: A multi-functional linear motion shaker includes a rectangular outer support frame with a tank, often referred to as a "possum belly", for receiving the incoming drilling fluid flow. A set of adjustable louvers and a tray is positioned on the side of the tank. The adjustable louvers and tray serve to screen out the larger and stickier drill cuttings or solids. A vibrating deck assembly is positioned within the outer support frame adjacent the tank and tray assembly. The vibrating deck assembly is of a double deck design whose upper and lower decks include cross members to support the mud screens. The upper and lower decks are vertically spaced apart and connected together into one unit by vertical structural members. A moveable plate is positioned on the upper deck adjacent the adjustable louvers and tray. This moveable plate can be positioned to direct drilling fluid flow to the upper deck or repositioned to redirect fluid flow to the lower deck and bypass the upper deck.

    Abstract: Apparatus of the type known as Sieve Bends which serve to separate particles differing in size. The apparatus includes a headbox that receives feed slurry and a throat that receives the slurry from the headbox. Means is provided in the throat for yieldably engaging the flow in such a manner as to prevent or minimize clogging of the slots between the bars of a sieve that receives the flow from the throat. This means includes a nip flap which contacts one side of the slurry flow. The invention makes possible a substantial increase in operating capacity and is particularly applicable to the coal industry.

    Abstract: The invention relates to the dry cleaning of grain and discloses a new process and an apparatus. In the new process a deep layer of grain is formed on an upper screen, the holes of which are larger than the grain particles, and a compacting effect is produced in the bottom zone of the layer by vibratory forces. Sand particles sink into the layer compacting near the screen, and this layer drops completely--i.e. together with the sand particles--directly on to a second screen situated therebeneath. The sand passes through the bottom screen. The double screen is preferably preceded by a coarse screen. The apparatus is modular and comprises as separate modules a screen box, a head section containing the grain inlet and a tail section containing the outlets. A number of screen boxes of different sizes and head and tail sections of different sizes and arrangements may be provided to make it possible to supply a number of screening systems of different sizes.

The hollow collapsible body is normally biased to an extended position and movable to a compressed position for discharging air and any powder therewithin through the dispensing member.
