Rotating Patents (Class 209/303)
  • Patent number: 10160011
Abstract: A method and device are used for separating particles of plastic foil from organic material. The device includes a chamber with a perforated wall. A mixture of particles of plastic foil and organic material is fed into the chamber through a feed opening. The mixture is set into a rotating movement inside the chamber by a rotor. In the vicinity of the perforations, the centrifugal force to which a particle is subjected is at least fifty times greater than the gravitational force to which the particle is subjected. An airflow is generated in the chamber parallel to the rotational axis of the rotor. Particles of organic material leave the chamber through the perforations. Particles of plastic foil are carried along by the first airflow and then discharge through an opening in the chamber.

Abstract: A device including a hollow cylindrical body, first and second stationary coaxial annular screening screens disposed within the body, and a rotor within the body and positioned between the screens to conduct the slurry through the first screen and then through the second screen, the rotor being driven in rotation. The pulp slurry passes through a central entry pipe, radially outward and then upward along the inside of the rotor, further inward through a coarse screen cylinder, and then around the end of the rotor to pass between the outer surface of the rotor and the inner surface of a fine screen cylinder. The pulp slurry then finally passes outward through the fine screen cylinder. Coarse rejects, such as knots or other coarse material, are collected at the end of the coarse screening chamber and led away for further processing. Fine rejects are similarly collected at the end of the fine screening chamber, also to be led away separately for further processing.

  • Patent number: 6220446
Abstract: A particle size classifier in which feed material composed of product and overs moves downwardly through a separator unit by the action of negative pressures created by a first air blower associated with the collection of product and a second air blower associated with the collection of overs. As the feed material moves downwardly, the product and the overs are separated with the product passing from within a screen unit to outside the screen unit and the screen unit preventing passage of the overs. • Patent number: 5667075
Abstract: The invention concerns the design of classifying wheel made of a waterproof sintered material with vanes arranged in a ring that run parallel to the rotational axis and that are positioned between the hub-bearing circular disc and an annular cover disc, whereby the flow of the classifying air through the vanes is contrary to the centrifugal direction of the classifying wheel. Described is a classifying wheel design which permits manufacture of such a classifying wheel in an economical manner with a high degree of manufacturing accuracy even if the classifying wheel has an outside diameter in excess of 250 mm and which ensures the required degree of fracture resistance for any standard sintered material. This is achieved in that the classifying wheel is made up of simple ring elements joined together by a self-sintering filler, e.g. an adhesive, introduced into the gaps between the ring elements.

The suspension on the first sieve surface forms a thin layer classification zone having a thickness up to 5 mm and in which the coarse fraction is retained while the fine fraction is passed. The coarse fraction automigrates to the next sieve surface where it is dewatered and the fine fraction separated out in the thin layer classifying zone is then filtered under pressure in a subsequent stage.
