Patent number: 8485364Abstract: The invention is intended for sizing separation of difficult-to-screen powder materials and slurries. A sieve assembly includes a rigid frame, attached inside the separator housing, and upper and bottom sieves, stretched on the frame. The interface apparatuses are connected to the upper sieve, while actuator means—to the bottom sieve. Patent number: 7617938Abstract: An elastic sieving method and corresponding large-sized elastic vibration screen. The present invention utilizes a screening surface and a separate sieving machine. A screen mat located on the sieve box is connected to multiple small rectangular screens. While the machine is vibrating, the resonation of screen rods located on the screen mat connected by small rectangular screens are initiated to screen the material and to cause the vibration of the whole vibration screen and realize the conveyance and lamination of materials. Because the screening surface is in a state of resonance, the vibration strength is strong enough to prevent the screen meshes from becoming plugged, allowing for high sieving efficiency. A bearing in the sieving mechanism is installed with a vibration damping ring, placing the bearing in a resonant state, allowing for a low dynamic stress level, which satisfies the process requirement for large-sized vibration screen excitation units with a screening surface as wide as 4800 mm.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2006Date of Patent: November 17, 2009Assignee: China University of Mining and TechnologyInventors: Yuemin Zhao, Chusheng Liu, Chengyong Zhang

Patent number: 5816412Abstract: The subject invention relates to a screening system, preferably a finger screening system, for screening particulate material. The screening system for screening particulate material comprises a screening assembly including a housing. A plurality of screening modules are mounted for direct attachment to and removal from the screening assembly. Each screening module comprises a support block having a front end and a back end and a plurality of rods joined at a first end to the front end of the support block. The second end of the rods are free of attachment and form a row of the rods extending outwardly from the support block. The row of rods define an array of sieve openings of a predetermined size for allowing particulate material up to a predetermined size to pass through the screening module. A plurality of attachment assemblies are also provided for clamping the plurality of screening modules to the screening assembly.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1996Date of Patent: October 6, 1998Assignee: Western Wire Works, Inc.Inventor: Anton Bokor

Patent number: 5685982Abstract: A vibratory vectored thrust shaker for separating solid materials from fluids has a base frame and a screen bed support frame carrying a mesh screen supported horizontally above the base frame by resilient supports. An eccentrically weighted vibratory shaft is rotatably mounted transversely between a pair of side rails secured at one end to the screen bed support frame near its discharge end which extend upward therefrom at an acute angle to horizontal. A first resilient round member is mounted at one end of the vibratory shaft. A drive motor mounted on a spring biased hinged mounting bracket connected to the base frame has a second resilient round member mounted on its drive shaft which is engaged in spring biased relation with the first round member.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1995Date of Patent: November 11, 1997Inventor: Mike L. Patent number: 5683580Abstract: A vibratory deck of an end feed separator transfers material in a linear direction from the feed end to the discharge end of a screen mounted on the separator frame. A pair of rotary eccentric vibrators is independently mounted in mirror relationship on opposite sides of the frame. The eccentric vibrator shafts are centered on axes at an alpha angle to the direction of horizontal motion of the material, canted at an epsilon angle from the alpha angle and tilted about the epsilon angle from the vertical in a plane normal to the epsilon axes at opposite beta angles. The centers of the eccentric vibrator shafts are offset from the center of vibratory mass of the frame by a rho distance. The alpha, epsilon, beta and rho factors are coordinated so that the aspect ratios of the elliptical patterns of motion from the feed to the discharge ends of the screen sequentially increase or decrease.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1996Date of Patent: November 4, 1997Inventor: Grant A. Patent number: 5595306Abstract: A screening system having a resiliently mounted housing with a screen extending thereacross. The housing is vibrated by a low frequency vibratory drive using eccentric weights. About the peripheral frame of the screen, a high frequency drive or drives is employed to vibrate the screen in the range of 20,000 Hz. The high frequency vibration is generated at the peripheral frame about the screen. The screen may be responsive to the high frequency vibrations in a plate-like manner or as a membrane. With the high frequency drives mounted within the housing, a structure made of a sheet extends from a mounting flange inwardly to a mounting ring supporting the screen and the high frequency drives and inwardly to a collecting system including a trough and a central dome. The center of the dome may be fixed to the screen and include a high frequency drive.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1995Date of Patent: January 21, 1997Assignee: Emerson Electric Co.Inventors: Ari M. Patent number: 5494173Abstract: A vibrating screen apparatus capable of maintaining operation when in an out-of-level orientation is disclosed. The apparatus includes a generally rigid frame having first and second sidewalls and top and bottom screen decks extending therebetween. The frame is coupled to a stationary chassis or base by spring mount assemblies that each include an adjustable spring support system coupled to the frame and heavy coil springs which are positioned between the adjustable spring support system and the stationary base. Four rubber shear spring assemblies are also coupled between the stationary base and the sidewalls. The rubber shear spring assemblies help prevent shifting of the frame relative to the base if an out-of-level condition occurs and also help reduce lateral forces applied to the coil springs caused during out-of-level conditions. The apparatus further includes eccentric drive and driven shafts that are rotatably supported by spherical roller bearings.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 1994Date of Patent: February 27, 1996Assignee: Deister Machine Co., Inc.Inventors: E. Patent number: 5301814Abstract: The screening efficiency of a gyratory screening machine, of the type having a moving base, is significantly increased by mounting to the base a spring/mass system which is tuned so that operation of the machine drive produces amplified movement of the mass along at least one of two perpendicular axes on which the base moves. Movement of the mass reduces the net force on the base along the axis on which the mass oscillates. The reaction force of the machine drive on the base along the other of the two perpendicular axes may be offset by a rotary counterbalance operated by the drive. Movement of the base relative to the ground is thereby reduced, and movement of the screen deck relative to ground is increased. This both increases the effectiveness of the screening motion and decreases the total reaction force transmitted through the base.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1992Date of Patent: April 12, 1994Assignee: Rotex, Inc.Inventors: William E. Patent number: 5265730Abstract: A vibratory screen separator having a base, resilient mountings and a separator frame. Screens are fixed in the separator frame. Rotary eccentric vibrators are positioned on each side of the frame at the center of mass and inclined both in the direction of motion of the material and tilted normal to the direction of motion of the material in opposite directions to define uni-directional elliptical vibratory motion in the frame.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 1992Date of Patent: November 30, 1993Assignee: Sweco, IncorporatedInventors: Timothy L.
