Patent number: 10265731Abstract: A screen system for improving a vibrating shaker apparatus for separating drilling fluid and drill cuttings is described. The screen system comprises a dual screen having a coarse mesh upper screen attached to a finer mesh lower screen with a channel between the two screens. One or both of the screens may be wedge shaped to affect the flow rate of drilling fluid and drill cuttings across the screen. The screen systems can be installed in existing shaker apparatuses using various attachment systems, such as wedge clamping systems, hydraulic or air pressure clamping systems, or hook screen systems.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2018Date of Patent: April 23, 2019Assignee: FP Canmechanica Inc.Inventor: Daniel Guy Pomerleau

Publication number: 20020144936Abstract: A continuous cleaning system to prevent clogging of screens in screening machines used to sort materials such as aggregates, such system comprising positioning a cleaning device such as a chain in line with the length of and on top of, a screen to be cleaned, and then using a motor assembly to rotate said cleaning device thereby moving it back and forth across the top of said screen, so that substantially the entire area of the top of said screen comes in contact with said rotating cleaning device, which taps or otherwise contacts the surface of said screen as it moves back and forth across the top of a screen deck, thereby dislodging any dust or other material that might otherwise clog or block the openings in said screen. In a preferred embodiment, a motor rotates the cleaning device which has the effect of driving it back and forth along a tight cable on which said pulley travels. The speed, power, and direction of the motor are subject to controls, which may be easily set by an operator.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2002Publication date: October 10, 2002Inventor: William Harold Page

Patent number: 5301815Abstract: The device according to the invention comprises a vibrating frame (10) to which a vibrating housing (11) is attached, supporting a vibrating screen (12). Below this screen are attached a certain number of fixed bars (14), as well as a certain number of movable bars (15), each held at the extremity of two arms (16) attached by a flexible connection (17). The vibrating housing 11 is driven by a first electric motor (20) used during the normal screening process and a second electric motor (23) which rotates at a lower speed than that of the other motor (20) for unblocking the device by maintaining the movable bars in resonance so that they strike the lower surface of the vibrating screen (12). This device is particularly advantageous because it is adaptable to all vibrating machines.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 1992Date of Patent: April 12, 1994Assignee: Etablissements Chauvin S.a.r.l.Inventors: Gilles Chauvin, Xavier Grasset

Patent number: 4187171Abstract: A sifting machine includes a screen; a plurality of spaced leaf springs supported below the screen and extending transversely to the length dimension of the screen; and a drive connected to the leaf springs for causing each leaf spring to periodically bend away from the screen and subsequently move rapidly towards the screen to intermittently beat the latter. The active beating length of each leaf spring is somewhat less than the useful width of the screen. There are further provided a downwardly resiliently yielding support for opposite ends of the active beating length of each leaf spring and a cable or the like attached to the mid portion of each leaf spring. The cable forms part of the drive for agitating each leaf spring.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1975Date of Patent: February 5, 1980Assignee: Fried. Patent number: 4121779Abstract: A mechanical separator having a container providing a chamber for receiving plant material, such as herb plants, spice plants and the like, a motor driven substantially flexible member being rotatably supported for substantially free form random thrashing movement within and about the chamber in juxtarelationship for engaging, fragmenting and separating the intrinsic parts of the plant material as desired for flavoring from the waste portions thereof, a screen being provided across a dischargeway opening from the chamber of the container, such screen being of a mesh size to act to permit the fragmented and separated intrinsic parts of the plant material to be discharged therethrough and to act to retain waste portions of the plant material within the chamber.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 1977Date of Patent: October 24, 1978Inventors: Peter B. Mills, R. Stephen Morgan
