Operating Mechanism Patents (Class 209/503)
  • Patent number: 8807346
Abstract: This invention relates to a centrifugal jig comprising a rotating device, at least one jig unit and a product receiver. The jig unit includes a hutch chamber, a screen residue chamber, a screen, a feeding device, a discharging device and a pulsator. The jig unit is installed on the rotor at an inclined angle along the movement of the feed. It is used to separate particles of different density in the slurry. The product receiver is fixed on the ground to collect the separated materials discharged from the rotating jig unit. Separated materials are discharged from an outlet of the screen residue chamber in the jig unit. This invention can unselectively separate any size particles of different density in the fine slurry.

  • Patent number: 5148922
Abstract: A gravity separator for the separation of heavier particles from lighter waste material comprises a stack of decks (4) mounted for resonant oscillatory motion within a supporting frame (1). A motor (9) oscillates the decks at their resonant frequency while a distribution system (6) supplies a feed in the form of a slurry to the surface of the decks. As shaking continues, the heavier particles within the slurry are gradually separated from the lighter particles. Optimal separation is provided by a control system which, if necessary, automatically changes the amplitude of oscillation and/or the timing of the stages as separation proceeds, for example in response to outputs of detectors which measure the frequency of oscillation and the power being consumed.

  • Patent number: 5024334
Abstract: A system for gravity table separation including a gravity table for separating materials and a detector operatively associated with the gravity table for detecting the movement of control particles with respect to the gravity table during its operation. The control particles are of a known characteristic. By calibrating the desired movement of the control particles through the table, any misalignment or deviance of that movement during operation is detected, and adjustments can be made to the operation of the table to bring the control particles back to the desired movement. The separation process can then be controlled to bring about optimum efficiency. Also, the detector can be interfaced with a control component which can automatically adjust the operation of the table in response to whether the control particles are following the desired movement through the table.

  • Patent number: 4997551
Abstract: A concentrator comprises a beneficiating member (1) in the form of a bowl with a tapered bottom (2) a concavity of which is provided with a discharge hole (13), and a drive mechanism (5) a hollow drive shaft (8) of which accommodates eccentrically a shaft (10) carrying the beneficiating member (1) executing a circular movement about a radius equal to the eccentricity. In cross section the bowl is elliptical and is connected to a base (3) by flexible elements (12), whereas the concavity of the tapered bottom (2) is offset relative to its shaft (10). A tray (14) for finally concentrating the material is provided under the discharge hole (13).

  • Patent number: 4946586
Abstract: A shaking table for ore-dressing, having riffles on its deck, has circular orbital motion imposed on it to cause the riffles to oscillate, and for a standing wave to be created between the riffles. The continued circular motion acting on the standing waves causes sharp separation of the material fractions which are discharged continuously from the deck. The slope of the deck and riffles and the configuration of the riffles are critical. The slope of the deck is set empirically by estimating the approximate slope appropriate to the parameters of the material being treated and of the motion imparted to the deck; and the final adjustment is made by slewing the deck in its own plane to obtain an optimum result. For a frusto-conical deck, the adjustment is made on a flat deck and the frusto-conical deck is constructed accordingly. The deck may have rectilinear or curvilinear motion imparted to it, superimposed upon the circular motion.

  • Patent number: 4842146
Abstract: A pulsator for enriching, particularly, hard coal has mounted in a pulsating compartment a hoisting wheel and a bracket both mounted on a drive shaft, or a ratchet wheel mounted on a drive shaft which runs in bearings above the liquid level of a working trough. The pulsating compartment is of cylindrical shape and is connected to working trough along its longer side and separated from the working trough with a wall. The pulsating compartment consists of an outer wall to which is welded a bottom wall shaped as an arc and connected via a vertical wall to an oblique wall of the working trough. The bottom wall is provided at its lowest point with a grate encased with a pulp outlet stub pipe. The hoisting wheel consists of a side wall connected with an outer screen which is connected in turn to an outer ring along the periphery of the outer screen.
