Patent number: 6889845Abstract: A jigger for the processing of minerals such as coal, consisting of two traveling troughs, the upper trough being equipped with a sieve and closed from below by a continuous flexible membrane, the lower trough interrelating with the diaphragm of the upper trough, acting as a piston and giving water vertical pulsation. The troughs are linked to each other via double-arm levers, hinged in the supports. The double-arm levers together with the troughs form a system of hinged parallelograms, providing uniform distribution of pulsations along the whole capacity of the upper trough that produces conditions for the intensification of the jigging process. Besides this intensification, decreasing of energy-consumption and simplicity of design having been achieved. A laboratory sample was made and its testing showed good technological results and confirmed the reliability of a unit simple in manufacturing, operating and maintenance.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2003Date of Patent: May 10, 2005Inventors: Gulnar Ermekova, Burkit Mainin, Zhanat Mainina, Zhibek Mainina

Patent number: 6102211Abstract: A separator pan (18) is set into a rearwardly leaning position (FIG. 6). A lower portion of the pan (18) is positioned inside a bucket (10). The pan (18) is mounted for rotation on a frame (20). The frame (20) includes hooks (42) that hook onto the upper rim (32) of the bucket (10). The support leg or brace (82) projects rearwardly from a lower portion of the frame (20) to contact the sidewall (28) of the bucket (10), and establish a lean angle of the pan (18). The pan (18) is detachable from the frame (20) and the pan (18) and the frame (20) are sized to be placed inside of the bucket (10) so that the bucket (10) can be used for transporting and storing the assembly when it is not being used.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1999Date of Patent: August 15, 2000Assignee: Michael & Susan BartkoskiInventor: Leo M. Patent number: 5275294Abstract: A separator pan (10) is set into a rearwardly leaning position (FIG. 4 ). A lower portion of the pan sidewall (28) slopes downwardly as it extends outwardly from the pan bottom (12). A spiral rib (32), inside of the pan (10) slopes upwardly as it extends axially outwardly from the interior of the pan (10). Pan (10) is rotated in a direction causing the spiral rib (32) to coil inwardly. Large particles of gold ore, introduced into the pan (10), gravitate out from the pan, owing to the sloping nature of the lower portion of pan sidewall (28). Smaller particles, including small particles of gold, are trapped between spiral rib (32) and sidewall (28) and bottom wall (12) of pan (10). As the pan (10) rotates, these small particles are moved inwardly and into a hub cup (14).Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1992Date of Patent: January 4, 1994Inventor: Leo M. Krenzler

Patent number: 5244099Abstract: An apparatus for providing a fluidized bed to effect the separation of a mixture of articles having at least a first density and a second density that is greater than the first density into separate groups. The apparatus includes an inclined trough which is supplied at an input end with either a fluidization medium, such as sand, or a mixture of articles from which a fluidized bed is formed by forcing gas upwardly through the bottom of the trough and through the fluidization medium or the mixture. In the case where a fluidization medium such as sand is used, the mixture of articles is introduced into the fluidized bed medium so as to be entrained therewith to effect separation as the articles travel in the direction of flow of the fluidized bed medium. Vertical oscillatory movement is imparted to the inclined trough to improve the separation and layering where the mixture of articles is fluidized, or to improve the density uniformity where a fluidization medium such as sand is fluidized as the bed.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1991Date of Patent: September 14, 1993Assignee: Camas International, Inc.Inventors: Arthur Zaltzman, Sylvester L. Patent number: 4793918Abstract: A gravity separator for separating particulate material deposited onto a perforate separator deck is disclosed. The rate of separation is controlled by varying end raise and side tilt adjustments. These adjustments are made hydraulically and are remotely controlled. These adjustments are carried out while the machine is operating to avoid down-time. The feeder is located above the highest point of the separator deck to provide for faster separation. A blender assembly located at the high side of the deck accepts heavy material and conveys it to a discharge hopper. This provides for faster separation and allows the length of the deck to be decreased. A counterbalance is agitated in a manner to oppose and negate the motion of the deck. An air supply assembly with multiple fans is provided to direct a certain volume of air to separate areas of the separator deck.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1986Date of Patent: December 27, 1988Assignee: Oliver Manufacturing Co., Inc.Inventor: James A. Patent number: 4778219Abstract: A jigging machine, particularly a movable sieve jigging machine, for the preseparation of deads from valuable material comprises an oscillatory jig bed in the housing filled with separating fluid and comprises deads and valuable material discharge devices located therein, as well as an oscillatory drive for the jig bed. The jigging machine is suitable for underground mining operations in that the outer dimensions of the jigging machine, with respect to the height and width theeof, are designed smaller than the tunnel cross-section of an underground mining operation. A relatively low structure is achieved by designing the housing as a flat trough towards a deads discharge end with the deads discharge being provided as a rising conveyor parallel to the bottom of the trough. Advantageously it is achieved that the quantity of deads to be conveyed is reduced and a considerable saving is provided in terms of energy and expense.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 1985Date of Patent: October 18, 1988Assignee: Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz AGInventors: Peter Wilczynski, Werner Strauss
