  • Patent number: 11054074
Abstract: A push-to-connect coupling with integrated filtration is disclosed. In one aspect, the coupling comprises a tube support, a collet and a filter element. The coupling may include a seal. The coupling connects to a cavity, which may be a portable fitting. The cavity may be a connection on a separate device or system, such as an air tank or other devices. The filter element may be dome-shaped. The tube support is easily assembled with the cavity, for example by threading, to capture the filter element. The tube is connected to the coupling by pushing the tube over the tube support and through the collet. The collet interacts with a reduced diameter section of the cavity to apply a clamping force from the collet on the tube and secure the tube in place. The tube is easily removed from the cavity simply by pushing the collet farther into the cavity to remove the clamping force on the tube, and then pulling the tube out.

  • Patent number: 10874960
Abstract: A drainage pipe un-dissolved waste catch assembly includes a panel that has a rear edge, a front edge, a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, a top side and a bottom side. The panel has a plurality of apertures therein extending into the top side and through the bottom side. A plate is attached to and extends along the front edge and forms a angle with the top side is between 120° and 150. A coupler is attached to the top side of the panel adjacent to the rear edge and releasably engages a discharge tube such that the panel is positioned below and extends forward of the discharge tube. As waste water flows outwardly of the discharge tube, any un-dissolved materials therein will be retained on the panel.

  • Patent number: 10710899
Abstract: This invention concerns a fluid purification device. The device has container, a nozzle and a removable filter element. The container is preferably a bottle and has at least partially flexible sidewalls so that it is collapsible from a first, operative condition into a second, inoperative condition. The nozzle is connectable to the container and defines a first fluid flow path along which fluid flows when, in use, filling the container and a second fluid flow path along which fluid flows when, in use, dispensing fluid from the container. The removable filter element is carried by the nozzle such that it is positioned in the first fluid flow path so that the fluid is filtered when filling the container and positioned outside the second fluid flow path so that the flow of fluid is unobstructed by it when dispensing fluid from the container. The invention also concerns a method of filtering a fluid.

  • Patent number: 9982418
Abstract: A gate valve curb box strainer collects debris introduced through a street level cover, minimizing debris build up in the gate valve access pipe of the curb box. Water passes through the curb box strainer, while the strainer catches debris that naturally builds up over time via the street level cover. When a worker removes the cover to exercise the valve, he need only lift the gate strainer out of the access pipe and shake the debris out of it. There is no need to take extra time digging out or vacuuming out the debris. In an emergency situation such as accessing the valve for a fire hydrant or during a water/sewer main break, this could save valuable time. After the valve has been exercised, the empty gate valve curb box strainer is dropped back in place prior to covering the gate valve curb box with the street level cover.

  • Patent number: 9924827
Abstract: A coffee brewing device, such as a cold coffee brewing device and related methods are disclosed. The device includes a container, a supported horizontal plate that holds filter paper in place, and a spigot below the horizontal plate. Coffee grounds are placed on the filter, then water is added to the container such that minimal disturbance of the coffee ground bed occurs. When the spigot is opened, liquid is removed in a north/south (up/down) direction through the coffee ground bed. The coffee ground bed serves as a first filter, the filter serves as a second filter, and the chamber below the horizontal plate serves as a coalescing chamber where sediment drops out thus serving as a third filter. The resulting liquid dispensed from the spigot is amber in color and clear.

  • Patent number: 9605368
Abstract: Disclosed are a self-cleaning washing machine and a control method thereof. The washing machine includes inner and outer drums defining a chamber therebetween, a wave wheel, a water drainage apparatus, cleaning pellets provided in the chamber for cleaning drum walls between the inner and outer drums, and an isolating structure for preventing the cleaning pellets from escaping from the chamber. The isolating structure includes a filtration mechanism arranged in the water drainage apparatus to prevent the cleaning pellets from being flushed away when water is drained, and/or a grid mechanism arranged at the bottom of the inner drum to prevent the cleaning pellets from entering the inner drum. Operably, in the water-draining and/or spin-dry process, the inner drum is controlled to carry out different actions, making the cleaning pellets together with the water flow through a water drainage opening to be collected by a water drainage valve.

  • Patent number: 6926827
Abstract: A fuel dispenser filter for filtering fuel is adapted to be connected to a support in a fuel distribution system. The filter comprises a housing including an adaptor constructed and arranged to be secured to the support and a bowl operatively connected to the adaptor. A stud/spacer is secured in the adaptor. The stud/spacer defines a centrally disposed outlet flow passage and outwardly disposed inlet flow passages. A sleeve member is movably supported in the adaptor between the stud/spacer and the adaptor. The sleeve member is constructed and arranged to open and close the fuel flow through the inlet flow passages. A filter assembly including filter media is provided in the bowl for filtering the fuel passing through the filter. When the bowl is firmly engaged with the adaptor, the sleeve member is moved to open position to permit the flow of fuel through the filter and when the bowl is removed from the adaptor, the sleeve member is moved to a closed position to stop the flow of fuel.

  • Patent number: 6627077
Abstract: A multi-part filter combination is received in a stepped bore of a fluid-carrying component. A larger-diameter filter part is associated with a larger-diameter bore portion, and a smaller-diameter filter part is associated with a smaller-diameter bore portion. The two filter parts of the filter combination are connected by a connecting part. When the two filter parts are joined in their respective final position in the bore, this connecting part is detachable by means of a die to be introduced into the bore. The filter combination can be used in a valve block serving to receive a magnet valve.

  • Patent number: 5049267
Abstract: A filter arrangement disposed in a fuel tank of an automotive vehicle has a flat upper section made of mesh. A lower section made of mesh is joined to the upper section to define a space between the upper and lower sections. The space is filled with fuel filtered by the upper and lower sections and communicates with a fuel pump. The upper and lower sections are different in shape and therefore deform differently under suction due to operation of the fuel pump. This prevents the filter arrangement from collapsing under suction, thereby effectively ensuring a fuel flow passage leading to the fuel pump.

  • Patent number: 4632755
Abstract: This invention pertains to a fluid filter apparatus and more particularly to an improved fluid filter apparatus in which a plurality of disc-like filter elements or pads is preferably mounted on a perforated tubing, although, it can work without the tubing. Each filter element is a disc-like member having a hole cut in the center and is made of a filtering type material such as fiberglass, paper or felt. Each element is cut in a pattern such as a square, triangle or hexagon whose sides are straight or curvilinear which can be cut without waste. Adjacent stacked disc filter elements are orientated such that the configuration of two adjacent filter elements does not coincide. For example, in regard to a square type configuration filter element, adjacent elements are preferably rotated 45.degree. with respect to each other from their aligned position.

  • Patent number: 4267042
Abstract: A water filter, in particular for aquarium water, comprises a filter chamber having a water inlet and a water outlet and being filled with exchangable filter material, as well as a boost pump arranged downstream of the water outlet. The filter chamber is defined by an annular space between two concentric tubes of different diameters, the outer tube having as water inlet a perforation arranged spaced around its entire circumference and its entire length and the inner tube likewise being provided with a perforation around its entire circumference and its entire length. At one end of the inner tube, a water outlet line is connected, while the other end of the inner tube is closed. With this structure, the entire filter material employed may be completely utilized, and also, the exchanging of the filter material is simpler.
