Patent number: 9869094Abstract: Corrugated fine mesh material is configured to be located overlying a gutter. The fine mesh material has an upper edge opposite a lower edge with the upper edge configured to fit beneath shingles on a roof adjacent the gutter. The lower edge is configured to be held to a lip at a forward edge of the gutter. The corrugations add strength to the material and collect water at troughs thereof where the collected water more readily forms droplets that fall down into the gutter. A lower strip is preferably provided to hold the lower edge of the mesh to a lip of the gutter. An upper strip is optionally provided which includes a tab which can fit beneath shingles to the roof. A barrier such as a bead of caulk can optionally be coupled to an underside of the corrugated mesh to further encourage water droplets to fall.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2016Date of Patent: January 16, 2018Assignee: GUTTERGLOVE, INC.Inventor: Robert C. Patent number: 9839881Abstract: The invention relates to a porous separation article having a fluoropolymer or polyamide binder interconnecting one or more types of interactive powdery materials or fibers. The interconnectivity is such that the binder connects the powdery materials or fibers in discrete spots rather than as a complete coating, allowing the materials or fibers to be in direct contact with, and interact with a fluid. The resulting article is a formed multicomponent, interconnected web, with porosity. The separation article is useful in water purification, as well as in the separation of dissolved or suspended materials in both aqueous and non-aqueous systems in industrial uses. The separation article can function at ambient temperature, as well as at elevated temperatures.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2013Date of Patent: December 12, 2017Assignee: Arkema Inc.Inventors: Sean M. Patent number: 9777495Abstract: A flow-through pool cover that efficiently drains built up water from the top of the pool cover while simultaneously preventing leaves and twigs from entering the pool and or clogging up the draining device. The flow-through pool cover includes a pool cover, a plurality of drain-receiving holes, and a plurality of drains. The drain-receiving holes traverse through the pool cover and are distributed about the pool cover. Each of the drains includes a base plate, a plurality of drain holes, a tubular body, and a fastening mechanism. The drain holes are distributed about the base plate and traverse through the base plate to create a mesh. The base plate and the tubular body are concentrically positioned with a corresponding drain-receiving hole. The base plate is attached to the tubular body by the fastening mechanism through the pool cover.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2015Date of Patent: October 3, 2017Inventor: Russell P Moody

Patent number: 9708086Abstract: A method for producing a single-use capsule (1) for extraction beverages comprises the steps of: positioning a flat piece (8) of filter paper over a cup-shaped rigid body (2); joining the flat piece (8) of filter paper along at least the rim (7) of the rigid body (2); forming the piece (8) of filter paper towards the interior of the rigid body (2) and by means of plastic deformation of the piece (8) of filter paper so as to define a containment chamber (5); filling of the containment chamber (5) with a dose (D) of product; closing of the chamber (5) and of the external rigid body (2) with a sheet lid (6). This invention also relates to a machine (100) which implements said method.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2012Date of Patent: July 18, 2017Assignee: GIMA, S.P.A.Inventor: Mauro Bianchi

Patent number: 9650788Abstract: A gutter system in which a gutter cover in an installed position covers a gutter supported by a gutter hanger. The gutter cover has a front cover portion comprising a surface tension curve curving downward and rearward from a central cover portion for directing water in a downward and rearward direction, and a drain trough extending lengthwise of the gutter cover below the surface tension curve for collecting water directed by the surface tension curve. The gutter cover has a rear cover portion which contacts the gutter hanger.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2015Date of Patent: May 16, 2017Assignee: E-Z Products LLCInventor: James E. Ealer, Sr.

Patent number: 9631369Abstract: A clip connecting the outer end of a gutter guard to the outer end of a gutter. The clip has an outwardly extending lower panel, a front panel extending upwardly from an inner end of the lower panel, the front panel merging with an intermediate panel that extends outwardly over the lower panel. The lower and intermediate panels are constructed to engage the outer gutter end to connect the clip thereto. The intermediate panel is folded inwardly at its outer end and merges with an upper panel extending inwardly over the intermediate panel. The intermediate and upper panels are constructed to receive and retain therebetween the gutter guard outer end.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2012Date of Patent: April 25, 2017Assignee: EVELYN'S LEAFSOLUTION, LLCInventor: James M. Patent number: 9534391Abstract: A covered gutter system comprising a covered gutter, mounting bracket and fittings a providing an elongate channel in which to receive water from an overhead water feed (such as a roof), wherein the water may from time to time be carrying solid content, said covered gutter comprising: a) a channel formation comprising front and rear walls upstanding from a base region to define a channel, and b) a cover formation extending from the rear wall of the channel formation and over the channel, there being an undercut portion of the cover which, together with an upper edge of the front wall of the channel, defines an elongate mouth opening along the gutter, and wherein said cover formation is adapted to guide water from the water feed through the mouth opening and into the channel, while assisting to deflect solid content away from the mouth opening. A bracket where the inside profile of the bracket corresponds with the outside profile of the covered gutter.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2013Date of Patent: January 3, 2017Assignee: ECO GUTTER IP HOLDINGS PTY LTDInventors: Alan Bryan Creighton Haley, John Edward Dobbe
