Dredging Sediments/water Mixture From Underwater Beds Treated Patents (Class 210/747.4)
  • Patent number: 11278010
Abstract: A solar-powered aeration device for sludge turnover and planting includes a grow bed fixed on a floating body and floats on water. A bottom of the floating body is fixedly connected with an inner pipe; an outer pipe is sleeved outside the inner pipe. The outer pipe is nested in an air chamber; a bottom of the air chamber communicates and is fixedly connected with a water inlet pipe; the water inlet pipe laterally communicates with a suction tube. An aeration ring is fixedly arranged at a bottom of the outer pipe, and the aeration tube has an air outlet pipe in communication with the outside. A movable foot is rotationally provided at a tail end of the suction tube, and the movable foot adapts to surface fluctuations to swing in a range limited by an angle limiter.

  • Patent number: 8935863
Abstract: A method of dredging a pond uses a submersible assembly, having a dredging cutter and submersible pump, which is submersed in the pond. The submersible assembly is moved along a bottom of the pond by winches. A controller receives signals from a global positioning system as to the position of the submersible assembly in the pond and moves the submersible assembly in a continuous dredging pattern through the coordinated operation of the winches.

  • Patent number: 8871097
Abstract: A method of reclaiming a formate brine may include increasing the pH of a spent formate brine fluid comprising water-soluble polymers; treating the fluid with an oxidizing agent; and removing at least a portion of suspended solids from the fluid. Further, a method of reclaiming a formate brine may include lowering the pH of the spent formate brine fluid comprising water-soluble polymers; increasing the pH of the spent formate brine fluid to initiate precipitation of materials solubilized in the fluid; treating the fluid with an oxidizing agent to break down remaining water-soluble polymer; and recovering at least a portion of the formate brine.

  • Patent number: 8801938
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and system for recovering oil from a submerged oil source, wherein the system includes a submerged conduit having at least two openings, with a first opening capable of being located in proximity of a leak in order to capture leaking oil, and with a second opening capable of communicating captured leaking oil to another location. A natural gas separator, coupled to the submerged conduit separates the boiling vapor phase natural gas from the captured oil thereby outputting oil with water contaminant. An oil/water separator coupled to the natural gas separator then separates out the contaminant water, resulting in a processed recovered oil product for storage and subsequent refinement. The flow to capture the leak is induced by generating a lower pressure at nozzle in the conduit via power jet, air lift, pumping of fluid out of conduit close to sea level, or other methods.

Abstract: Light expanded clay aggregates are described that are prepared by firing and expanding a clay-based material, wherein metals such as palladium, copper or nickel are added to the clay together with iron prior to expansion and firing. The expanded clay aggregates can be used for cleaning of water contaminated with halogenated organic compounds. The latter are chemically degraded to harmless compounds in proximity of the added metals. The aggregates can be used as a reactive medium for treatment of contaminated groundwater, wastewater and landfill leachate.

  • Publication number: 20130087510
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for removing and treating contaminated materials on a bottom of a body of water and introducing growth packets to revitalize the treated bottom of the body of water. The structure may comprise a vessel with an open face. The vessel may be lowered down to the bottom of the body of water with the face facing down. As a result, the vessel and the bottom form an isolated space. The structure may comprise at least one agitating device(s) for stirring up the materials inside the vessel so as to form a mixture containing the sediment materials which in turn contain the contaminants. Multiple at least one pipe(s) may be coupled to the vessel for transporting the mixture out of the vessel for processing (filtering, treating with chemicals, etc.) so as to neutralize or eliminate the contaminants in the mixture. Then, the treated mixture can be returned to the inside of the vessel via the at least one pipe(s).
