Bag Holder Patents (Class 211/12)
  • Patent number: 5101984
Abstract: A trash recycling apparatus that includes a series of individual trash bags suspended from a racks structure in a row configuration. Exposed side wall areas of the bags have special trash identifier markings that enable a person standing in front of the rack structure to select the appropriate bag for each trash item. The identifier markings are written at an angle to permit the use of relatively large size lettering. Also the markings are repeated at vertically spaced points along the bag length to ensure readability of the markings.

  • Patent number: 5062533
Abstract: A bag holder for recyclable materials is disclosed, the holder having a body portion being adapted for mounting on a wall and having one or more bag securing stations. The stations utilize an aperture with a ring partially framing the aperture and adapted to pivot toward and away from the body portion. A portion of the bag is directed through the aperture and the ring, below the ring, and then back through the aperture, the weight of the bag serving to bias the ring toward the body portion and secure the bag therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5050743
Abstract: A dual sack rack frame (10) allows mail sacks (12) and (14) of different sizes or, alternatively, tray receptacles (100) and (110) to be used as output for the small parcels and bundles sorting system used by the United States Post Office. The mail sacks (12) and (14) are connected to rear, pivotable, spring biased retention hooks 46 and front, stationary hooks (50) or (52), respectively. The tray receptacles (100) and (110) are positioned on tray supports (36) which are pivoted downward when mail sack collection is no longer desired. The dual sack rack frame (10) is easily exchangeable with other collection receptacles by simply pivoting the chute support brackets (32) to a non-supportive position and detaching the plunger pin (22) which connects it to the stabilizing frame.

  • Patent number: 4880121
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the sorting of material in which a rigid rack includes a plurality of horizontally extending elements arranged in vertically spaced arrangement, and a plurality of bags are removably supported on the horizontally extending elements for receiving material therein. The horizontally extending elements and the bag members are respectively constructed and arranged to hold the bag members with their mouth portions stretched open and facing forwardly one above the other on the rack. The rack further includes elements for maintaining the bag members substantially horizontally one above the other with their mouth portions open. The bag members are selectively removed from the frame with the inserted material therein by horizontally sliding the bag member off the frame.

  • Patent number: 4821985
Abstract: A rack for the counter edge mounting, loading and dispensing of plastic T-shirt grocery bags is disclosed. The bags are of the type formed from an endless tube of plastic having the sides of the bag with a "W" fold. The bottom and the top of the bag are sealed with the top portion cut away to define paired outside bag handles and a bag opening therebetween. The supporting rack includes a flat bottom defining a loading surface on which the sealed bottom of the grocery bag is supported during loading. A vertical or back member extends upwardly from rear portion of the loading surface and has at the topo a wicket supporting protrusion preferably a ball at the end of a wire at the end of a rod. The wicket supporting surface is for supporting bag wall tabs fused together in a wicket. The wicket holding a group of overlying bags together for sequential dispensing and loading. The rack includes a novel second U-shaped member also supported from the vertical member and placed below the first U-shaped member.

  • Patent number: 4249663
Abstract: Intended primarily for use in the commercial photofinishing industry, a convertible loading and delivery pouch together with associated mounting means in an automatic sorter device is disclosed. A number of such pouches demountably installed at successive loading stations along the sorter conveyor path are maintained suspended from parallel support arms in normally open, article receiving position with the front walls of the individual pouches bowed outwardly to accommodate the articles being discharged from the conveyor at such stations. With the pouches removed from the support arms, the front walls can be bowed inwardly against the sidewalls and rear wall in order to permit interengaging the cooperating elements of a closure device such as a slide fastener to secure the contents within the pouch for delivery purposes.
