Shoe Or Boot Type Patents (Class 211/34)
  • Patent number: 4669615
Abstract: A hanger for suspending a pair of footwear in an inverted position, each one of said pair having a heel, a sole, and an upper is disclosed. The hanger has a pair of clamps made of wire, each of the clamps being for each one of the pair of footwear. Each clamp has a torsion spring coil at one end wherein front and rear ends of the coil extend downwardly from the coil to define respective first and second vertical legs. Each vertical leg is formed inwardly toward the other leg at about the same distance from the coil to define respective first and second horizontal legs in side-to-side contact with one another. The vertical legs cross one another laterally so that the first horizontal leg is behind the second horizontal leg. The horizontal legs are formed 180.degree. to define opposed gripper ends for clamping the heel of the footwear between them and each gripper end is in a plane which is perpendicular to the plane defined by the vertical and horizontal legs with which the gripper end is integral.

  • Patent number: 4624496
Abstract: A ski boot carrier frame defining a pair of side by side rectangular openings, a handle connecting to a central member which separates the side by side openings, and a restraining strap adapted to pass across both rectangular openings, the rectangular openings each adapted to receive and secure a ski boot for carrying and storage. The strut members of the boot carrier frame defining both ends of the side by side rectangular openings are angled with respect to each other, and in addition, the rear members defining the rectangle are arcuate in shape to receive the back portion of the boot in a holding relationship. When the boots are inserted into the rectangular openings, the boots are engaged on their soles by the front struts and at the rear by the back of the boot resting on the arcuate rear strut as the boot passes through rectangular opening to be held in such position by the securing strap holding the boots against the carrier frame.

  • Patent number: 4238865
Abstract: A boot support device including a pair of shanks which engage each other intermediate their ends but closest to the upper end of the device. The inter-engagement of the shanks effects a rocking movement between the shanks to cause the lower ends of the shanks to move apart to facilitate insertion into the legs of boots. The divergence of the lower ends is effected by causing sections of the shanks near the upper ends to be squeezed together. A predetermined divergence may be effected by movement into a certain position of a hollow slider which is displaceable along the shanks. Divergence of the lower ends of the shanks may also be effected by manually squeezing together opposed sides of a loop-shaped connection extending between the shanks at the upper end.

  • Patent number: 4200993
Abstract: An apparatus for drying boots has a hollow housing one of whose upright side walls is formed of a plurality of upper and a plurality of lower pairs of apertures. A blower, a heater, and an ozone generator are provided in this housing for expelling air from these apertures. One aperture of each of the pairs is provided with an upwardly inclined tube having an open upper end. Roots can be racked over these tubes so that air is caused to flow by the apertures of the tubes through the inside of the boots whereas air from the other aperture of the respective pair will flow over the outside of the boot and dry it. In addition at least the upper apertures are associated with a catch trough for drips emanating from the boots on the respective tubes. A larger trough may be provided at the lower apertures for catching drips from the respective boots as well as for catching liquid deflected by the upper troughs against the side of the apparatus.
