Abstract: Locking devices for pegboard hooks, slatwall hooks, and crossbar hooks are provided. In one aspect, locking devices are provided for preventing a pegboard hook from being removed form a pegboard. In another aspect, locking devices are provided for preventing a slatwall hook from being removed form a slatwall. In another aspect, locking devices are provided for preventing a crossbar hook from being removed form a crossbar.

Abstract: A hair braiding device dimensioned and adapted for enabling the separation of a plurality of braiding hair sections with minimum amounts of tangling and knotting, even when the underlying hair braiding device is moved. The hair braiding device provides a grid of hooks positioned at an operational orientation angle, even as the hair braiding device is movable between a deployed state and a collapsed state for transportation and storage. Thereby the operatively associated hair sections remain in their own spaced-apart relationship relative to each other.

Abstract: A product display belt for a product display assembly may comprise a flexible strip having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front end and a back end; a plurality of hinges mounted to the bottom surface of the flexible strip to form a linear array of separated hinges extending from the front end towards the back end of the flexible strip; and a plurality of flaps, each flap having a front facing surface, a back facing surface, and a top surface, each flap mounted to an associated hinge of the plurality of hinges at the back facing surface below the top surface of the flap such that the flap has a free top end and extends downwardly away from the bottom surface of the flexible strip. Abstract: An anti-sweep mechanism for controlling removal of merchandise items from a forward dispensing end of a merchandise display rod, the anti-sweep mechanism comprising a body having a first blocking portion and a second blocking portion, the body being rotatable between a first position and a second position wherein when the body is in the first position, the first blocking portion blocks forward movement towards the forward dispending end of merchandise items located on the merchandise display rod behind a first blocking location, and the second blocking portion is rotated away from the merchandise display rod to not interfere with movement of merchandise items along the merchandise display rod; and when the body is in the second position, the first blocking portion is rotated away from the merchandise display rod to not interfere with movement of merchandise items along the merchandise display rod, and the second blocking portion blocks forward movement of merchandize items located on the merchandise display r

Abstract: The invention provides a promotion device for communicating information regarding a product on display on a display system for retail and attached to a hook or rod that is part of a store fixture shelving system, a pegboard or slatwall system, or display system for retail, said device comprising a mounting part for attaching to a rod of said retail display system, an arm extending from said mounting part to an end of said rod, and a frame attached to an end of said arm and for said frame providing a cadre around the product.

Abstract: A medal display having at least some of a display base having a first side and a second side and extending from a proximate center to an outer edge; a plurality of elongate slots formed through the display base, wherein the elongate slots are formed in corresponding, adjacent pairs of substantially parallel elongate slots, wherein the corresponding, adjacent pairs of elongate slots are arranged at spaced apart locations so as to form an outer slot arrangement and an inner slot arrangement; and one or more attachment elements formed in, on, or through the display base, wherein each attachment element is formed such that one or more suspension cords may interact with each of the attachment elements, such that the display base may be suspended from the one or more suspension cords.

Abstract: A dispensing system for mailing and other bags comprises a plurality of bags (10) arranged as a stack, each bag being frangibly connected along their upper side edge at (15) to a header (16), and a fastener (18) extending through the header (16) of each bag for securing the bags (10) together into an assembly, the system further comprising hanger (24) for supporting the bag assembly, the hanger (24) comprising a formation (26) arranged to engage a complimentary formation (20) on the rear of the fastener (18). The hanger (24) can be permanently fixed to a support structure and the assembly of bag (10) is then fitted to the hanger by engaging the formation (20) on the fastener with the complimentary formation (26) on the hanger (24). The bags (10) then hang from the hanger (24) in such a way that they can easily and singlehandedly be opened and detached by pulling them away from their header (16).

Abstract: A shelf label system for organization of products according to a modular plan identifies product information on a retail store shelf. It retains original location and product information. The system comprises at least one elongated shelf label track attached to a front face of the retail store shelf, a plurality of label holders, each fitting within and able to move along a length of the shelf label track. Each label holder has a hinged panel that can be folded such that only a first face of the hinged panel is visible. In an open position, a face of the main panel and a second face of the hinged panel are visible. In an alternative embodiment, the label holders are allowed to move along the slot but can only flip over in the cutouts. A locking cover may be implemented to prevent unauthorized persons from modifying the labels.

Abstract: A product display belt for a product display assembly may comprise a flexible strip having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front end and a back end; a plurality of hinges mounted to the bottom surface of the flexible strip to form a linear array of separated hinges extending from the front end towards the back end of the flexible strip; and a plurality of flaps, each flap having a front facing surface, a back facing surface, and a top surface, each flap mounted to an associated hinge of the plurality of hinges at the back facing surface below the top surface of the flap such that the flap has a free top end and extends downwardly away from the bottom surface of the flexible strip. Abstract: A goods holder, on which a plurality of goods can be arranged one behind the other in a movable manner, in such a way that a front good of a row of goods arranged one behind the other can be moved in the direction of a front end of the goods holder and can be removed from the goods holder at said front end. The goods holder having at least one displaceably supported signal-producing means, which can be displaced as a result of a movement of a frontmost good in the direction of the front end and triggers the production of a removal signal in the event of a displacement in order to indicate a removal of the good from the good holder. Two displaceably supported signal-producing means are provided on the goods holder.

Abstract: A holder assembly for hanging goods to be displayed at a point of sale includes at least one elongated holding member at which goods are to be hanged and to be arranged in a row of goods one behind the other so that the hanging goods may be slid along the at least one elongated member to a removal position at an end of the at least one elongated member where a good may be removed from the at least one elongated holding member. The assembly further includes a carrier to which the at least one elongated holding member is mounted and at which an electronic detection element is provided. An electronic detection element of the holder assembly is configured to detect a displacement of the at least one elongated holding member from a first position to a second position for emitting at least one signal.

Abstract: An attachment bracket or reinforcement plate is provided. The bracket is attached to an area of the respective product and provides an attachment location which is durable and maintains the structure of an inside corner of a cut in a melamine or wood product. In certain examples described herein, these storage systems may be held on a wall using a rail system. That is, a rail is attached to the wall which has an outward extending rail arm and upward extending flange. The flange engages with a notch or slot in the attachment bracket, which is secured to the melamine or wood product.

Abstract: A system and method for displaying and dispensing items of merchandise placed in a row suspended from a cantilevered support mounts a track above the support, and couples a slide with the track for sliding movement along the track. An arm is carried by the slide and extends downwardly for engaging the row of items. A grip on the slide enables a purchaser or the merchant to grasp and manually move the slide and the arm from a rearward position, wherein the arm is located behind the row of items, toward a forward position so as to engage and move the row of items toward a forward point-of-purchase, thereby placing a forward-most item at the point-of-purchase. Upon release of the grip, a return spring returns the slide and the arm to the rearward position.

Abstract: A note holder is disclosed that comprises a base; a spine extending from the base and having a base end and an upper end, the upper end being positioned higher than the base end in the vertical plane; and, a plurality of retainers attached to said spine and adapted to retain one or more pieces of notepaper in an easily observed state.

Abstract: A system and approach utilizing a multi-dimensional code on a card and a gesture applied to the card for a scan. The two-dimensional card may contain information about the card holder, other individuals, the facility or area at which access is desired, and a gesture relating to scanning the card. Appropriate information and a correct gesture applied to the card during a scan may enable a holder of the card to gain access to the facility or area. The gesture may legitimize the card holder.

Abstract: A display fixture includes a cross support mounted to a display structure. The cross support includes a cross bar having a plurality of holes extending through at least a top of the cross bar. The holes are spaced apart from each other across a length of the cross bar. The display fixture also includes at least one display hook having three downwardly depending mounting members. The at least display hook is mounted to the cross bar by engaging two of the three downward depending mounting members with two holes in the cross bar.

The accessory merchandiser includes a modular unit including a plurality of first members and a plurality of second members, wherein the first and second members form a grid structure, a plurality of indicator marks formed on each second member, and a plurality of coupling members configured to removably couple the modular unit to a fixture. The plurality of indicator marks form a marking grid.

Abstract: A retail display clip is provided. The retail display clip includes a stationary clip base and a rotatable clip member that rotates about an axis of rotation. The rotatable clip member rotates relative to the clip base. The retail display clip includes an open state and a closed state. As the rotatable clip member rotates from the open to the closed or the closed to the open state, an over-center point is transitioned. The over-center point is created by the interaction between a locking tab of the rotatable clip member and a flat inner surface of the clip base. In the closed stated, a torque is created by the over-center point that causes the locking tab to place a force on the flat inner surface of the clip base. A gripping point is formed at the location where the locking tab places the force. The gripping point supports retail merchandise.

Abstract: A security product display hook assembly comprising a unique form of product display hook, in combination with a security lock, providing optional levels of product security and customer convenience. The display hook has a merchandise supporting arm formed with a back section, an intermediate section and a front section. The intermediate section is of sharply irregular configuration to allow, but inhibit, product removal, while effectively preventing mass product removal often attempted by shoplifters. The locking device is positionable in front of or directly behind the intermediate section to provide the highest security, with all products locked or an intermediate level, with a portion of the products locked. The locking device can also be positioned at the back of the back section such that all products are unlocked and available for customer selection.

Abstract: A signal emitting retail device is provided. The signal emitting retail device includes a sensor and an emitter. The emitter is configured to emit a signal when the sensor senses removal of merchandise from a merchandise display structure. The sensor is also configured to sense potential theft conditions. The emitter is configured to emit a signal indicative of potential theft conditions when such conditions are sensed by the sensor.

Abstract: An anti-sweep device having a mechanism that allows a customer to take a pre-determined number of items from a peg or display hook, after which the hook is locked for a pre-determined period of time before allowing another predetermined number of items to be taken.

Abstract: A device for displaying an article on a peg-board, including first and second housing portions securable to the front face of the peg-board, a recoil mechanism for a cable, and an adapter plate secured to the cable distal end and securable to an article to be displayed. The housing first portion has L-shaped prongs at its top with a distal end extending upwardly adjacent the peg-board back. The housing second portion has L-shaped prongs at its bottom with a distal end extending downwardly adjacent the peg-board back. The housing portions define a substantially enclosed space adjacent the peg-board front face, and the housing first portion defines a housing front face with an opening through the housing front face to the enclosed space. The recoil mechanism is biased toward retracting the cable into the recoil mechanism and disposed in the base housing enclosed space with the cable extending through the housing front face opening with the cable distal end outside the housing enclosed space.

Abstract: A display lock system and display lock used therein are provided. The display lock system includes a display hook having a display lock attached thereto. The display lock includes a lock body attached to a bar of the display hook and a lock bar that surrounds a second bar of the display hook. A lock arrangement operates between the lock body and the lock bar to selectively permit and prohibit movement of the lock bar relative to the lock body.

Abstract: A merchandising display using pegs mounted on peg board slopes the pegs downwardly from back to front and has a product retaining bar disposed below the pegs a distance calculated to engage the bottom of products displayed on the pegs. The merchandising display pegs are sloped at an angle calculated to allow gravity to draw products from the back of the peg to the front of the peg as products are removed while the bar engaging the bottom of the products maintains the forward most product at the optimum display angle for purchasers.

Abstract: A free-standing, point-of-purchase display includes a base portion and a display portion. The display portion upwardly extends from the base portion and includes a frame having a plurality of upright members and at least one display element for supporting product for retail display. The display further includes first and second advertising panels carried by first and second upright members of the plurality of uprights, respectively.

Abstract: A security device for locking a merchandise display rod to a support structure. The device includes a housing slidably received on the display rod and including a locking mechanism movable between a locked and an unlocked position. The housing defines a recess extending inwardly from an exterior surface thereof and perpendicularly to the linear motion of a locking member in the locking mechanism. A complementary shaped dipole magnet of a magnetic key is inserted into the recess to move the locking mechanism to the unlocked position. The security device further includes an adjustment member on a rear surface thereof. The adjustment member is engaged to compensate for different thicknesses of the support structure to which the security device is to be attached.

Abstract: A merchandise display hook includes a display rod and a locking base pivotally attached to the display rod for locking the display hook on a display support. The locking base is configured to pivot relative to the display rod inwardly towards the display support from an unlocked position to a locked position and outwardly from the display support from the locked position to the unlocked position. The display hook includes a first attachment member configured to engage a front surface of the display support and a second attachment member configured to engage a rear surface of the display support. The locking base defines a contact surface configured to engage the front surface of the display support in the locked position. When the locking base is in the locked position, the locking base and the display rod define a first angle therebetween. When the locking base is in the unlocked position, the locking base and the display rod define a second angle therebetween that is less than the first angle.

Abstract: When displaying products on a display hook, labels associated with the products are oftentimes presented via a label holder affixed to the display hook. Because various display hook structures exist, an interchangeable label holder can be utilized to adjoin to the various structures. Accordingly, in one embodiment, a label holder is adapted for being affixed to both a cylindrical-shaped crossbar and a display plate crossbar of a display hook. The rear face of the interchangeable label holder includes first brackets and second brackets adapted for receiving either the cylindrical-shaped crossbar or the display plate crossbar. The rear face of the interchangeable label holder also includes a first securing element and a second securing element functional for receiving lateral edges of the display plate crossbar to restrict lateral movement of the label holder.

Abstract: A product display system and method includes a support and at least one product container supported by the support. The product containers incorporate one or more wings or flanges that enhance viewability of the containers from the side. The wings of the product containers may project forwardly or rearwardly from card portions of the containers, such as at angles of at least 20 degrees relative to the card portions. The containers may be supported at a support arm or the like, and have a center of gravity located behind a header for suspending the packages from the support arm, causing the packages to angle or tilt with their front faces angled somewhat upwardly, such as toward an illumination source, when suspended from the support arm.

Abstract: A product display system and method includes a support and at least one product container supported by the support. The packages are tilted such that the front faces of the tilted packages face at least partially upward, such as toward the illumination source, so as to provide enhanced illumination of the front faces of the tilted packages. The tilted packages may be supported at a support arm or the like, and have a center of gravity located behind a header for suspending the packages from the support arm, causing the packages to angle or tilt with their front faces angled somewhat upwardly, such as toward the illumination source, when suspended from the support arm.

Abstract: A presentation apparatus, provided with a series of suspension elements with a longitudinal direction, fixed to a wall element near a first end and provided with a presentation element at an opposite end, wherein, from at least one suspension element, a series of rolls of tape is suspended by sliding these over the suspension element by an opening in a core, wherein the presentation element of the respective suspension element has a frontal surface which, in front view, extends at least partly above the top side of the suspension element and has such a size and shape that a roll can be slid from the suspension element over said presentation element.

Abstract: There is provided an expandable modular display that is generally comprised of display modules that may be wall mounted, utilized as a desktop or countertop display, or vertically stacked with a plurality of like display modules in a display stand. The display stand is disposed to be connected by hand utilizing connecting apertures and pins. The display stand may be expanded horizontally using the connecting apertures and pins to receive additional display modules. The display is disposed to mount display modules vertically in a back to back position.

Abstract: A goods display hook which enables salespersons to quickly and easily get information on the empty state of the goods display hooks. In a goods display hook comprising a main body engageable with a horizontally extending bar assembled in a goods display furniture and an arm including a base end supported by the main body and a goods hanging section extending from the base end section, the goods display hook further comprises a bias means for urging the arm in the direction that the goods hanging section tilts upwardly, the goods hanging section of the arm having a lamp at a free end thereof, the main body having a power source for the lamp, a switch device for the lamp and a shaft providing the arm with a pivotal movement, wherein the switch device is actuated by the arm to turn on the lamp when all the goods hung on the arm are removed which causes a pivotal movement of the arm in the direction that the goods hanging section tilts upwardly by the action of the bias means.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a display system for a display shelf having a top surface and a bottom surface. The display system includes an engagement member and a display member. The engagement member is located substantially beneath the display shelf and includes a resilient portion for releasably securing the display system to the display shelf. The display member is connected to and protrudes away from the engagement member.

Abstract: A securable system for displaying items of merchandise on a display board. The display system includes a lockable end assembly that engages the free end of at least one rod of a merchandise display therein. The end assembly is slidable along the rod between an unlocked position where items of merchandise may be removed therefrom and a locked position where items of merchandise cannot be removed therefrom. The end assembly is lockingly engaged with the rod by a locking mechanism that is linearly moveable within an interior chamber of the end assembly. The end assembly is provided with a specially shaped recess in its outer wall which is positioned perpendicular to the linear motion of the locking mechanism. A complementary dipole magnet key is inserted into the recess to unlock the locking mechanism.

The assembly includes a mounting portion adjustably coupled to a support surface associated with a first product, and a suspending portion for suspending a second product. The suspending portion coupled to the mounting portion, and the mounting and suspending portions are adapted for at least reducing interference with the visibility of the first product.

Abstract: A hook is provided for display and dispensing of commercial articles, such as articles carried on a card or other backing member. The hook includes a first arm with a hook-shaped end and an adjacent bend portion. A second arm has an end spaced from the hook-shaped end and the bend portion whereby an article must be slid along the first arm, between gaps formed between the end of the second arm, the bend portion and the hook-shaped end, for removal and subsequent checkout. In one embodiment, the hook includes a mounting plate with ears for engaging a pegboard support and a hole for receiving a push fastener which engages the pegboard support. In another embodiment, the hook includes a mounting member for mounting to a crossbar support in which a pair of spaced apart wings are provided at one end of a mounting body and a pair of spaced apart end portions are provided at the other end of the mounting body.

Abstract: The invention relates to a tag holder profile or mother profile for fastening a removable tag holder, intended for equipping a shelf or the like, in particular shelving. The profile has a rear fastening section on the front edge of the shelf or the like. According to the invention, the profile includes a longitudinal housing on an upper portion of the profile, able to open upwards, and at least one lid slaved to the remainder of the body of the profile. The lid is capable of covering the housing.

Abstract: The invention is directed to an adapter (29) for attaching an electronic shelf label (26) to a cantilever (22) of a blister hook (20). The adapter (29) has a housing (30) into which the shelf label (26) is inserted, and a suspension device for pivotal mounting of the housing (30) on a cross-strut (24) provided on the free end of the cantilever (22). The suspension device is a yoke (32) that is connected to the housing (30) and has two pliable sleeves (44, 54), each with a free end that is placed around the cross-strut (24) and is snap-locked onto the yoke (32). The adapter (29) is suitable for nearly universal use on various blister hooks of different size and shape. The housing (30) is angularly adjustable relative to the yoke (32) in order to align the product and price display of the shelf label (26) in the observer's viewing direction.

Abstract: A product display system and method includes a support, at least one illumination source positioned above the support and operable to illuminate the support area, and at least one product package positioned on and/or supported by the support. The packages are tilted such that the front faces of the tilted packages face at least partially toward the illumination source to provide enhanced illumination of the front faces of the tilted packages. The packages may have at least one tab that angles or tilts the package relative to the support such that the package is tilted toward the illumination source. The tilted packages may be supported at a generally horizontal support surface or at a support arm or the like.

Abstract: A display hook for supporting items of merchandise includes a rod assembly and a pair of mechanically interlocked time delay arms medially disposed on the rod assembly. The time delay arms are sequentially movable to permit a potential purchaser to manipulate an item beyond the time delay arms for removal from the display hook. The time delay arms include a guide tube slidingly disposed on the rod assembly, a first arm rotatably mounted on the guide tube and a second arm spaced outwardly from the first arm and fixedly mounted on the guide tube. The first arm is spaced-apart from the second arm sufficiently to permit at least one of the items to be disposed between the arms. The first arm has a circumferentially extending groove and the guide tube has a key that cooperates with the groove to permit limited rotation between the guide tube and the first arm.

Abstract: An anti-sweep apparatus for engagement with a wire which holds articles is disclosed. The anti-sweep apparatus includes a first portion, a second portion disposed proximate to the first portion and a camming surface disposed on the first portion. The camming surface is engagable by a portion of a lead article on the wire to cam the anti-sweep apparatus between an enabling orientation and a blocking orientation. In the enabling orientation, the lead article is removable from the wire. In the blocking orientation, a second article is prevented from being removed from the wire. The first portion and the second portion are lockable with each other and are sized to at least partially encapsulate a portion of the wire therebetween. When the lead article is moved proximally, the lead article engages the camming surface and causes the anti-sweep apparatus to move between its enabling orientation and its blocking orientation.

Abstract: Various aspects of the invention provide various embodiments of attachment members, hooks, hanger components, mounting systems and related methods. In one exemplary embodiment, a system generally includes a wall standard, a hanger component or component having at least two spaced-apart bar portions, and an attachment member engagable to the wall standard. The attachment member includes first and second recessed portions configured for trapping the corresponding spaced-apart bar portions between the wall standard and the attachment member when the attachment member is engaged to the wall standard. With this trapping, the attachment member can thus retain the hanger component to the wall standard.

Abstract: A merchandise display hook for mounting on a display structure includes a one-piece elongated U-shaped rigid member having a pair of spaced parallel rods and a connecting base. A sleeve is secured to the base and telescopically receives a shaft therethrough forming a pivot. A pair of lugs are fixed to outer ends of the shaft and have L-shaped ends which extend through openings in the display structure. Downward movement of the base along the support structure while the rods remain in a horizontal position pivotally move the lugs through and behind the support structure to a securely mounted position on the support structure eliminating the need for any upward angled movement of the display hook to install the hook, enabling the hook to be installed in a confined area.

Abstract: A bulletin board is provided by a backboard mounted within a frame, with a plurality of semicircular rods successively mounted in a desired spaced apart relationship on said board, the rods being concentric with one another and of successively decreased diameter, with a plurality of alligator-like clips being slideably hung from each of said rods. The spacing of the rods is adjustable.
