  • Patent number: 6266250
Abstract: This invention is a modular electronics mounting system according that is easy to install and that can be used with a wide variety of electronics components. A support plate includes a grid of holes arranged in at least one pair of columns spaced apart by a selected distance. The holes in each of the columns are spaced apart by a predetermined interval. The support plate is configured to be mounted to a wall such that the grid is spaced apart from the wall. A module formed generally as a plate such that an electronic component may be mounted thereto. The module includes a pair of hooks extending from a first edge of the plate. The hooks are spaced apart by the column spacing such that the hooks may be arranged to extend through first and second holes in the grid. A locking pin extends from the module such that the locking pin extends into a corresponding third hole in the grid to restrain the module against movement parallel to the support plate.

  • Patent number: 6245998
Abstract: A cable management assembly for use with equipment racks wherein equipment panels are fastened along vertical mounting rails of the rack. In one embodiment, the assembly includes an elongated trough having a back wall, a bottom wall and a front wall. The back wall is constructed to be fastened to the mounting rails of the equipment rack, and the bottom wall extends a sufficient distance forward so that the trough accommodates wire or fiber optic cables terminated at one or more equipment panels fastened to the rack above the back wall of the trough. A door has its bottom edge hinged to the front wall of the trough, and the door extends at a first position to protect cables terminated at one or more equipment panels mounted on the rack above the back wall of the trough. The door can be swung to a second position to permit access to the cables and the panels at which they terminate.

  • Patent number: 6227388
Abstract: A display and storage system for displaying an object in a window and storing the object beneath the window's sill is disclosed. A compartment fitted with an opening and having a bottom and a plurality of side walls is positioned beneath the sill. An aperture is arranged in the sill in registration with the opening providing access to the compartment interior. A movable top is positionable in registration with the aperture to enclose the compartment. A support surface is pivotally mounted within the compartment and is pivotal between a first position oriented angularly with respect to the surface of the sill and a second position co-planar with the sill. An object, such as a candle, is interengagable with the support surface for display in the window when the surface is in the co-planar position.

  • Patent number: 6220684
Abstract: A retainer assembly for preventing food containers placed on a shelf of a refrigerator door from falling off the shelf when the refrigerator door is abruptly opened or closed includes a retaining element which is connected to a crosspiece extending above a base of the shelf and pivotally movable relative to the crosspiece between first and second extreme positions, as well as a substantially infinite number of intermediate positions. The retaining element is either directly attached to the crosspiece or pivotally connected to a supporting sheath that is snap-fit onto the crosspiece. In either case, the retaining element rides along one or more camming surfaces which causes the retaining element to be physically deformed as it is pivoted between the first and second extreme positions.

  • Patent number: 6209735
Abstract: An interlocking tube and tube arrangement are provided. The tube includes an interior surface being adapted to allow placement of the object. The tube includes an exterior surface having a number of rails and a number of channels formed therein. Both the rails and channels have side surfaces that are back-cut. Portions of the rails and channels are cross-sectionally sized and shaped similarly to each other to permit a first tube to matingly engage a second, similar tube. The rails and channels extend between tube ends and are formed alternatingly about the tube exterior surface in an orientation parallel to the tube longitudinal axis. To engage the two tubes together, the rails of the first tube are slid into the correspondingly-sized channels of the second tube, their mutually back-cut side surfaces maintaining their engaged relationship. In one embodiment, the tubes are interlocked at angles of 90 degrees therebetween. In another embodiment, the tubes are interlocked at angles of 60 degrees therebetween.
