Abstract: A cooking pot lid holder with a vertically disposed bore angularly mounting therein a plurality of bearing members in stacked relation. Each bearing member mounts, at right angles thereto, an independently movable arm. On the outer end of each arm is a pot lid knob-engaging double spring member, specifically including an arcuate first spring portion and an arcuate second spring portion facing the first spring portion. Pot lids are retained in the spring members in an upside down fashion so as to minimize dripping of condensation when so held.

Abstract: A novel packaging assembly for displaying artistic gift bags and banners, as well as a novel display assembly wherein these banners and bags may be artistically displayed in their packaging. The bags or banners (16) are stacked in register, and the stack (16) is enclosed in a cardboard package which is provided with a gap in the header. The display assembly includes a plurality of racks (50) which may be mounted for swinging movement on a mounting plate assembly (52), each rack including two arms (60, 62) one of which may be slipped through the gap in the header to support the packaging. The mounting plate assembly may be supported on a pegboard (46) or slotwall (54). Alternatively it may be mounted on a novel floor stand (56) or other wire store displays comnmercially available to receive slotwall fixtures.

Abstract: A pants rack device (10) for supporting and suspending pairs of pants (100) which includes a pair of vertical support units (12) rotatably supported in a housing unit (11) wherein each of the vertical support units (12) is provided with a plurality of spaced dowel members (25) from which one or more pair of pants (100) may be suspended.

Abstract: An apparatus for displaying merchandise adjacent a display structure is disclosed. The apparatus includes a frame and an attachment mechanism for securing the frame to the display structure so that the frame is rotatable about a vertical axis, thereby providing access to the display structure. The frame includes a pair of nonparallel panels having a shared edge. The interior panel surfaces preferably form an interior angle between 90 and 180 degrees. The interior surfaces are suitable for displaying merchandise adjacent thereto. The attachment mechanism includes first and second brackets for connecting the frame to the display structure, a downward hook for securing the second bracket to the frame, and an adjustment mechanism for securing the first bracket to the frame at a plurality of positions, to thereby permit adjustment of the spacing between the first and second brackets. The adjustment mechanism includes a loop formed of a portion of the shared edge and an outer edge.

Abstract: A retractable clothes hanger capable of withstanding travel when affixed to a motor vehicle. The clothes hanger has a rod support block held by pivot means so that it is moveable between a horizontal position and a vertical position. The support block has a group of hanger bars pivotally held thereto. When the support block is moved from its usable horizontal position to a downward, vertical position, the rods are held by a support clip.

Abstract: A towel-holder, more particularly for a shower- or bathtub-partition, comprises a supporting bar which is adapted to be secured, substantially horizontally, by connecting parts, to a wall and, furthermore, an extension bar which is arranged to be displaceable in a substantially horizontal plane in relation to the said supporting bar. The invention is intended to improve, at low cost, handling and to reduce the danger of damage to the holder or injury to the user. To this end the extension bar consists of at least two parts connected together by a hinge. With the supporting bar secured horizontally, the axis of the hinge runs substantially vertically and, in view of locking device, the front part of a extension bar can be set at specific angular positions in relation to the rear part and to the supporting bar.

Abstract: A storage assembly is provided with at least one adjustable hook for engaging a support rail which can be attached to a vertical surface, such as a wall. Each hook has two cantilever engaging members which are engaged with the rail through T-shaped apertures. The hooks are easily inserted into, or removed from, the support rail by deflecting one of the cantilever members.

Abstract: A swivel curtain rod is disclosed comprising a longitudinal curtain supporting member pivotally attached to a bracket that is mountable to a wall or window. The bracket contains a slot into which one end of the curtain supporting member passes. At this end of the curtain supporting member are disposed a plurality of vertically extending projections which are received into corresponding recesses in the bracket to pivotally mount the curtain supporting member to the bracket. The bracket comprises a three piece construction. Identical upper and lower supporting portions are mounted to a base portion. The slot is formed between the two supporting portions. A sliding finial is attached to the curtain supporting member to secure the curtains thereto. A pin extends through the finial and into a longitudinal track in the curtain supporting member to prevent the finial from rotating while allowing it to freely move along the curtain supporting member.

Abstract: A closet organizer for supporting a plurality of articles of clothing such as pants and skirts from a clothes rod in a closet wherein the organizer includes a housing which is selectively suspended from the clothes rod and is stabilized with respect thereto and from which a telescoping clothing rack assembly is slideably carried. The clothing rack assembly includes at least one telescoping slide member which is received within the housing and from which a plurality of vertically spaced pairs of horizontally swingable clothing support arms are suspended. The clothing support arms may be selectively moved forwardly of the clothes rod and thereafter adjustably pivoted outwardly relative to one another so as to facilitate placement and retrieval of articles of clothing with respect thereto.

Abstract: A modular article support unit consisting of an elongated tubular member adapted to be removably attached to the hinge pins of two hinges of a door by means of adjustable brackets, said elongated tubular member having a plurality of holes along the length thereof for removably attaching several different types of support devices, such as coat hooks, towel racks, bulletin boards and mirrors.

Abstract: A method and an apparattus for modifying a closet to optimize the storage space therein is disclosed. The apparatus consists of a bracket member and an extension member which are slidably adjustable to achieve a desired length. An E-clip is provided which can attach to either the brcket member, the extension member or both at the same time at a plurality of positions along the length thereof. The E-clip can be attached to standards. Therefore, standards can be attached to the wall of a closet at any convenient location. The E-clips can be adjusted on and secured to the bracket and extension member to attach the bracket and extension member to the standards either separately or together. A plurality of longitudinal hanger support members are provided which can pivotally extend from the bracket and extension members. A plurality of conventional hangers can be positioned on the longitudinal support members.

Abstract: A tool holder apparatus is provided for holding ferromagnetic hand tools for convenient storage. The apparatus includes a mounting member for being attached to a generally vertical surface and includes a generally elongate support frame extending from the mounting member. The support frame defines at least two oppositely facing sides. The support frame is pivotally mounted to the mounting member to accommodate swinging movement of the support frame for providing access to either of the two sides. A plurality of bar magnets are provided on the support frame for magnetically attracting and holding the hand tools to each side of the support frame.

Abstract: Improvements in store fixtures are disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, a pant rack is provided by a series of modular display units which are individually supported on a rail and each of which includes wire supports for carrying a pair of pants to be displayed. Another aspect of the invention concerns the fact that the garment supports are pivotally coupled to a frame of the display rack by offset pivot pins arranged so that the racks always return to a central position. A further aspect of the invention concerns an arrangement for supporting the rail which carries the pant racks.

Abstract: An airing and drying frame with an upright mast on which a multiple-armed extending frame is fitted for accommodating individual rope polygons, the corner points of the rope polygons being attached to mutually movable slides which are mounted slidably in guideways of the arms, and wherein an actuating element for withdrawing the washing line is articulated to the outermost slide in each case.

Abstract: An apparel support device particularly adapted for hanging a plurality of neckties comprising a rectangular base member having a longitudinal channel formed therein and including opposed longitudinal grooves for receiving side flanges of a channel shaped hanger support member. A sheet metal hanger support member has opposed end flanges which are bent into a plane normal to the web of the hanger support member to provide for retaining the hanger support member on the base member and to provide limited movement of the hanger support member with respect to the base member to align cooperating fastener clearance holes on the respective members. The clearance holes in the hanger support member are in a conical boss formed by displacing portions of the web of the support member. Formed wire hanger members include a distal end formed into a circular loop having equal circular portions extending on opposite sides of the shank portion of the hanger member.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement in display and storage racks with swingable frames particularly for easily stolen and difficultly displayed articles (A), including at least one shelf space, having means (19-22) for preventing unauthorized removal of the articles (A) from the rack. The means (19-22) comprise projections or flanges projecting from the upper and lower portions of the shelf space and over the edge portions of the article (A), at least one of said projections (22) being movable vertically such that an article (A) is removable from the shelf space after the flange (22) has first been displaced to a position outside the edge portion of the article (A).

Abstract: A saddle rack which includes a pair of side frame members which are attached to a supporting rod and extend outwardly therefrom in a downwardly dependent manner, resembling the wings of an airplane. A supporting rod is attached to a sleeve at a slightly upwardly extended angle. Extending through the sleeve is a first tubular member which is telescopingly mounted within an enlarged flange of a second tubular member. The sleeve is freely pivotable upon the first tubular member.

Abstract: A two piece binder is disclosed having substantially symmetrical clamping members hinged together along first edges thereof so as to be rotated to grasp sheet material between second edges thereof by the rotation of wing nuts mounted on one side of the two piece binder and operably coupled to the two clamping members. The two piece binder disclosed advantageously provides a symmetric two piece binder with a side mounted tensioning wing nut.

Abstract: A device attachable to a wall for supporting relatively heavy articles such as television sets. The device includes a bracket mountable to the wall, a supporting arm pivotally connected at its inner end to the bracket and extending outwardly therefrom, and an article supporting platform rotatably mounted at the outer end of the arm. The bracket and arm are constructed of wood and include metal angle members and plates, respectively, for reinforcing the pivotal connection of the arm to the bracket. The arm has a wood veneer layer to cover the reinforcing plates and the bracket includes removable wood housings to cover the reinforcing angle members to provide a device having an all-wood appearance.

Abstract: The invention disclosed herein is a portable clothes closet to be attached to a vehicle. The clothes closet has an attachment means to be secured to the frame of a vehicle. A base means is provided which can be releasably attached to the attachment means on the vehicle and provides a surface to support the storage device. A frame with a cross bar is provided from which to hang clothes and the frame is releasably attached to the base means. An enclosure is provided for the frame and is releasably attached to the base means to provide a protective sheath for the mobile clothes closet.

Abstract: An especially configured carrying box has a plurality of cantilever arms demountably and pivotably mounted therein and display panels are demountably suspended from the cantilever arms. The display panels have fastener devices thereon for demountably supporting miscellaneous articles in organized arrays.

Abstract: A shower door or enclosure for a shower stall, bathtub or the like comprises an extrusion frame rigidly positioned between opposing walls of the bathing compartment. A foldable door is suspended from the extrusion and is adapted to be drawn between the opposing walls. At least one drying arm is carried in a top track of the frame and is attached thereto by a pivot which allows the arm to be moved toward and away from the frame and into the bathing compartment, whereby wet garments and the like may be hung upon the arm for drying.

Abstract: The invention provides a wall mounted laundry drier having an elongated housing of open trough configuration arranged to be mounted on a wall with the trough open upwards. Two support arms are provided mounted in articulated fashion, one at each end of the housing, for movement between a closed position where they form a cover for the housing trough, and an open position where they extend outwards from the housing and the wall. A plurality of rows of flexible line are arranged between the support arms to be taut when the arms are in the open position for the support of items of laundry, and to lie in the housing trough when the arms are in the closed position.

Abstract: A device for positively locating a pivotal display hanger in a selected position of use on a support, said device having a base member that is fixed to the support and a locating member that is mounted on the end of the hanger and rotatable therewith, the locating member cooperating with the base member to provide for a step-by-step movement of the hanger when it is pivoted so that the hanger is locatable in a selected position of use.
