Abstract: A counterbalanced vertical track assembly which may be configured with three types of pulley support assemblies are herein disclosed. The first type of pulley support assembly has a pair of opposed pulley modules having an elongate structural element interposed the two pulley modules which are attached to end plates at both ends of the elongate structural element. The second type of pulley support assembly has a pair of opposed pulley modules which include male end connectors for demountable engagement of the pulley modules with another module of the system with female ends. The third type of pulley support assembly has a pair of opposed pulley modules wherein the modules' pulley brackets are repositionable to varying angular orientations by alternating screw mount positions selected on mount components at opposite ends of an elongate structural element.
Abstract: A chain and cable handling winch system including a winch, a cable drum, a chain wheel, and a chain wheel lock assembly is provided. The chain wheel lock assembly releasable secures the chain wheel in a working position on a winch axle end. An interface body is mounted on the winch axle end such that it rotates with the axle. When the chain wheel is in its working position, slots and/or ribs of the chain wheel interlock with corresponding ribs and/or slots of the interface body, such that a torque load is transferred from the chain wheel to the winch axle via the interface body. The winch system further includes a chain wheel manipulator adapted to the exchange chain wheel mounted on the winch axle for another chain wheel.
Abstract: Multitask vehicles for military use, rescue, transport, and explosive detection and removal. In one embodiment, the multitask, motorized vehicle, includes: a vehicle body having a rigid frame with a pair of front wheels and a pair of rear wheels mounted thereon; and a rotary mounting platform disposed on top of the vehicle body and which has a mounting portion being configured to interchangeably mount and remove various secondary systems or components, thereby permitting the multitask, motorized vehicle to change functions. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract: A movable acoustic shell assembly comprises a ground-supported crane and an acoustic shell mounted on the ground-supported crane. The crane is configured to move in a self-propelled and self-directed manner between a storage position and an in-use position within a performing arts venue. When the crane is in the in-use position, the sound shell substantially encloses a rear portion of a stage within the performing arts venue.
