Arrowhead Type Patents (Class 213/177)
  • Patent number: 9044071
Abstract: A lock device includes a first lock part, a second lock part, which can be arranged on the first lock part in a fastening direction and is connected to the first lock part in a closing state, and an actuating element, on which the second lock part is movably arranged. In the closing state the second lock part is held on the first lock part via the actuating element, and the second lock part acts with the actuating element such that in a loaded state, when force is acting on the second lock part relative to the first lock part along the fastening direction, the actuating element is rigidly connected to the first lock part and holds the second lock part on the first lock part, whereas in an unloaded state the second lock part can be detached from the first lock part by actuation of the actuating element.

  • Patent number: 4927035
Abstract: Each coupling head of a vehicle coupling comprises a spring accumulator 50 consisting of compression springs 27, 30 which are energized by a pressure bar 20 when a tension bolt 3 of the head is moved inward. The coupling of the tension bolt 3 in a tension bolt receptacle 4 occurs by engagement levers 12, which are locked by a displaceable frame 16 in the coupled state. The unlocking is remotely operable by actuation of a solenoid 45 which actuates a latch 32 through an unlocking bar 41. Because of this unlocking, the frame 16 is displaced by the force of the spring accumulator, so that the locking of the engagement levers 12 is released and the coupling can be decoupled.

  • Patent number: 4050588
Abstract: A mine car coupling assembly comprising a spring biased receiving assembly having a pair of jaw members mounted about a pivot point. The forward ends of the jaw members are beveled and tapered inwardly to form a hook configuration adapted to receive and hold an arrowhead shaped male member. Each jaw member's forward end is biased toward the other jaw member's forward end by a spring assembly mounted to both of the jaw members. The tip of the arrowhead member initially engages the jaw members of the receiving assembly and overcomes the spring assembly's force, forcing the jaw members apart. When the arrowhead has entered into the receiving assembly the hook ends are urged back toward each other by the spring assembly to engage the rear surface of the arrowhead member and hold the arrowhead member in position within the receiving assembly.
