Abstract: The invention relates to an articulated vehicle including a plurality of vehicles or vehicle parts connected to one another in an articulated manner, a passage arranged between adjacent ones of the vehicles or the vehicle parts, the passage having an inner lining and an outer lining laterally spaced from the inner lining so as to define an empty cavity therebetween, one front wall on each side of the passage between the two adjacent vehicles or vehicle parts, the inner lining and the outer lining being arranged at the front walls of the two adjacent vehicles or vehicle parts while forming the empty cavity therebetween, a noise-absorbing noise insulation layer applied to a free surface on each of the front walls in the empty cavity between the inner and outer lining, wherein each of the noise-absorbing noise insulation layer extends into the empty cavity and terminates at a surface facing opposite to the each of the front walls respectively.
Abstract: A slide structure 21 of a railway vehicle includes a slide end beam 22 disposed in front of an end beam 16 that constitutes a portion of a body, and a slide center beam 23 projecting rearward of the slide end beam. An underframe 12 is provided with a guide portion 24 that guides the slide center beam in the longitudinal direction of the body. The underframe 12 is also provided with a holding member 28 that holds the slide center beam at a front position of the body with respect to the guide portion. The holding member has such a tensile strength that the holding member couples the underframe and the slide structure to each other in the longitudinal direction of the body and the holding member is broken when a tensile load in a rearward direction of the body applied from the slide structure to the holding member exceeds a preset tensile load, thereby permitting the slide structure to move in the rearward direction of the body.
Abstract: A vestibule connection for the adjoining ends of two cars of a rapid-transit vehicle includes an apron which is maintained centered in the space between turntables at the adjoining ends, by being mounted on two transverse parallel shafts via telescopable units that are pivoted to these shafts and alternate ones of which, as considered in direction lengthwise of the shafts, exert a biasing action on the apron in mutually opposite directions along the centerline of the two cars.
Abstract: A pair of collision posts are connected at the end of a railway car between the roof structure and buffer sill. Each of the posts includes a tubular structure formed by welding two elongated "S" shaped strips to an elongated flat strip. Each of the tubular structures fits over and is welded to a hollow anchor member having an enclosed portion towards the bottom fixed to the buffer sill and a tapered upper portion open on one side.
