  • Patent number: 11220381
Abstract: The bottle-sealing and preservation device provides for the sealing of necked bottles, including those designed to hold pressure such as champagne bottles, using mechanical advantage to compress an O-ring against the inner surface of the bottle neck. The device can accommodate a wide range of bottle-neck diameters and includes a stabilizing ring that engages the bottle mouth. Optionally, the device may be fitted with a cylindrical cage in which an oxygen-scavenging sachet may be inserted to pull oxygen out of the bottle headspace, thereby preserving any remaining liquid therein that is susceptible to oxidation.

  • Patent number: 10717570
Abstract: A cap for bottles that allows a user to select additives. A base has an axis with a coaxial cavity, typically threaded, for attachment to the bottle. A housing rotates and reciprocates on the axis between a selecting position where the housing and base are pulled apart and an operative position where the housing and base are pushed together. Compartments with additives and one or more vacant locations are arranged in a circle around the axis inside the housing. An opening in the compartment bottom is covered by a frangible seal. As the housing rotates, the compartment openings or vacant location align with an aperture in the base that extends into the cavity. Spikes extending from the aperture puncture the compartment opening seal when the housing is pushed to the operative position, allowing the additive to flow into the bottle. The vacant locations provide positions for storage and transportation.

A laminate seal having at least two layers is bonded across the opening and is adapted to provide an airtight seal across the opening and prevent contact between said nutritive substance and the contents of said container until said seal is altered. The laminate seal comprises a first layer permanently bonded to a rim defining the opening in the upper portion and a second layer that is releasably coupled to the first layer. A nutritive substance is bonded to the first layer. The container additionally comprises a closure removably coupled to the upper portion.

  • Patent number: 8464883
Abstract: A closure device for addition of a liquid substance separately packaged therein into an associated container containing a gas release liquid includes a connector sleeve and a twist cap fitting thereon. The connector sleeve holds a cup inside with the cup bottom extending into the container connector. The cup includes therein a substance container containing the liquid substance, disposed above a piercing and cutting mechanism having upwardly directed cutting tips and a downward arbor, and the cup has an opening at the bottom closed by the arbor. When the twist cap is rotated in the loosening direction, the piercing and cutting mechanism is moved upward, causing piercing of the substance container, and exposing the opening thereby pressure compensation occurs between the cup and container. Further loosening of twist cap causes pressure drop in the container, and the liquid substance is injected through the opening of the cup into the container.

  • Patent number: 8418865
Abstract: A bottle containing two kinds of materials separately in two spaces in a bottle body and communicates the separated spaces with each other as necessary so that the two materials can be mixed together. This bottle has a bottle body having a mouth; an additive storage container including an insertion part inserted into the mouth, an exposed part exposed outside the mouth and an additive storage space defined therein; an opening unit tightened to the mouth; and separation means for separating the additive storage container from the bottle body. The bottle saves resources and prevents deterioration in the properties in the material and additive. A user can mix the material and additive at a precise ratio, thus preventing their chemical and physical properties from deteriorating. The additive storage container can be completely removed from the bottle body.

  • Patent number: 8356711
Abstract: A system for closing containers of the bottle and/or jar type, which also dispenses active formulas from an airtight tubular space in its interior, into liquid or other content of a container when a mix is required. The system includes a movable push-cut carriage that is driven mechanically by an external puller to cut the seals of the tubular space and push the active formulas towards the interior of a bottle or jar. The closing system can be used for the incorporation of elements such as vitamins or minerals, which need to be stored separately from the content of the container in order to increase their useful life and improve their effectiveness, and in medical and/or pharmacological applications, to form mixtures of active formulas when they are required, thereby avoiding the rapid degradation of the final composition.

Abstract: A bottle cap containing different kinds of materials is coupled with a container inside an exterior material. The container is divided into a sealing portion coupled with a bottle neck and an operation part coupled with the exterior material. When the exterior material constituting the bottle cap is coupled with the bottle neck, the bottle cap is perpendicularly coupled to the bottle neck together with the container. Also, the side portion of the exterior material is sealed with a series of mechanical device along a screw thread or screw groove after the bottle cap is coupled with the bottle neck. When the exterior material is raised along the bottle neck by opening the bottle cap, materials stored in an inner storage space of the container fall into and are mixed inside the bottle.
