Abstract: A segmented collapsible container for containing a liquid and collapsing when no liquid is present. The container is segmented into a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The three segmented portions form a uniform annular sidewall, with each separate portion of the sidewall having a different thickness or material than the other portions. The wire-cap includes first and second flexible tabs capable of being respectively blocked on the neck and on the stopper (4), said first tabs (8) being offset relative to said second tabs (9) in an axial direction relative to said neck (3). The cap (1) also includes a ring (7) surrounding the wire-cap (6) for preventing access to said tabs from outside the ring (7). The ring (7) and the wire-cap (6) are designed so as to be fitted and locked together. The tabs (8, 9) of the wire-cap are respectively arranged at an angle in first and second openings (13, 14) which are formed by the mesh of the wire-cap (6), and in which the tabs (8, 9) can disappear when mounting the cap (1) on the neck (3).

Abstract: A tamper-evident closure (10) for a container (20) is provided. The closure (10) comprises a first portion (25) including inner (35) and outer (45) parts, and a second portion (30). The outer part (45) is movable relative to the inner part (35) from a first position in which the outer part (45) is immediately adjacent the second portion (30) to a second position in which there is an empty unobstructed gap (G) therebetween. The inner (35) and outer (45) parts are adapted to become irreversibly locked in the second position so that the outer part (45) cannot be moved back to the first position to close the gap (G). A combination of such a closure (110) with an in-bore filament (100) connectable to a container (120) is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8251252
Abstract: A child-resistant lift-top container is disclosed. The container includes a vessel, a lift-off inner cap and an outer locking cap. The outer locking cap engages the lift-off inner cap and is rotatable about the inner cap. The vessel includes a generally downwardly-facing abutment that engages an upwardly-facing abutment on the locking cap to lock the container and prevent the lift-off inner cap from opening. The container is opened by rotating the outer locking cap to disengage the abutments, permitting the lift-off inner cap to be lifted to open the container. The outer locking cap includes at least one spring that engages a spring-engaging surface on the vessel as the outer locking cap is rotated to assist in disengaging the abutments and to allow the outer locking cap to return to its closed and locked position.

Abstract: A non-drip device for a bottle is in the form of an outwardly projecting peripheral lip. This peripheral lip has a triangular section of thickness that decreases out to an outer tip, the lip being defined by a top side and by a bottom side that, between them, form an angle lying in the range 5° to 45°. This outwardly projecting peripheral lip has a length advantageously lying in the range 0.1 mm to 0.8 mm. It may be provided at the top end of the skirt of a cover of the engagement type. In a variant embodiment, this lip may be formed integrally at the neck of the bottle. Such a lip structure makes it possible, at the time of pouring, and in effective manner, to avoid formation of drops that run down along the outside face of the bottle.
