Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus and methodology for securing access to an underground device such as a storage tank. A lockable blocking plate is secured to a filler cap for an underground storage tank in a manner to inhibit access to the filler cap. The locking mechanism is configured such that the lock and blocking plate may freely rotate with respect to the filler cap. The blocking plate may include a side skirt extending to cover portions of the filler cap and, optionally, portions of a standpipe and coupling for the filler cap. Free rotation is enabled by way of an annular groove in a portion of the locking mechanism, and into which groove one or more locking portions may be inserted, or by way of a freely moving swivel boss attached to the filler cap.

Abstract: The invention describes a bypass valve (1) that can be used as a divert air valve. Bypass valves (1) that work in the closed or opened position in a force-balanced or pressure-balanced manner are known. During the opening of the bypass valve (1), a lower pressure is produced in a gap (25) between a valve closing body (3) and a valve seat (20), which pressure destroys the force balance and thus loads a movable valve unit (2) in the closing direction. In order to prevent this, according to the invention pressure equalization openings (24) are embodied or arranged with respect to the gap (25) in such a way that a reduced pressure is introduced into the chambers (7, 8) in the interior of the valve, so that the closing-operative force is distinctly reduced. By these means, the opening times of such a bypass valve can be distinctly reduced.

Abstract: A filter assembly for medical and laboratory use includes a housing. The housing includes a cover comprising an inlet and a bottom part comprising an outlet. The housing also includes a plurality of spring levers distributed around the circumference of the cover. The spring levers include hook-shaped projections, the hook-shaped projections connectable with the bottom part. The filter assembly can clamp a filter membrane or media sheet between the cover and the bottom part in a fluid-tight manner.
Abstract: A PET bottle having structurally improved vacuum absorption panels in the bottle portion so as to increase the panels' resistance to the constricting force of the shrink label, to secure the force of restitution for the panels, and thereby to allow the liquid level in the bottle to lower when the cap is opened. Vacuum absorption panels comprising multiple, flat and variable surfaces, recessed from the plane of each corresponding main body wall; multiple, horizontal and grooved ribs, and having respectively a curved bottom with the middle portion of this bottom being slightly uplifted, and with each rib being placed under a variable surface in an alternately disposed manner.
