Abstract: The present invention is directed to a child resistant double seam container lid including an adapter ring for securely affixing to the double seam top rim of conventional containers that will be difficult for children to open, yet readily openable by adults. More particularly, a two-piece, and three-piece child resistant double seam affixable container lid is provided having a first piece lid portion, a second piece adapter ring locking member second piece and optionally a third piece securing unit piece, with first and second rotational alignment indicators on the lid portion and adapter ring, and optional additional integral features such as a liquid measuring cup feature, a liquid tight lid feature, a threaded lid portion, a replaceable double seam container lid portion and a double seam container lid locking member adapter ring variously configured to be securely affixable to the double seam container rim.

Abstract: A bottle includes a neck and an opening at an end of said neck. A closure member closing the opening is provided with locking means that secure the closure member to a rim of the opening. The locking means include a collar surrounding a neck portion of the neck and locking-levers that are hingedly connected to the collar. The closure member includes outwardly extending lugs that register with the locking-levers. The locking-levers include link members that releasable engage the lugs at a top surface thereof. The locking-levers are retractable to a closed position in which the link members clamp the closure member to the rim of the opening.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a top chime for a beverage keg. The top chime is configured to be readily removable from the keg, for example to enable recycling of the top chime separately to the keg. The top chime comprises a mounting portion for mounting the top chime to a keg in use, and a mounting element separate to the top chime that is configured to be assembled together with the top chime after the top chime has been moved into a mounted position with respect to the keg to thereby secure the top chime with respect to the keg. The top chime is provided with a mounting element that is configured to engage the mounting portion to thereby secure the top chime with respect to the keg. The mounting element is configured to be assembled together with the top chime by moving the mounting element in a radially inward direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the top chime.

Abstract: A closure system for a vial comprising: an elastic closure part to engage the mouth opening, a clamp part to hold the closure part in a closing relationship with the mouth opening, the clamp part defining an upper aperture through which a region of the upper surface of the closure part is exposed when the clamp part is engaged with the vial, a cover part to engage the clamp part to cover the exposed region, the cover part engaging with the closure part to provide two or more concentric ring-shaped seals, at least part of the cover part being removable from the vial to allow access to the closure.

Abstract: A container such as a nail varnish container is provided which permits the user to quickly remove or put on the cap with a single hand without the need of turning the cap. The container includes a container body having a neck formed with a narrow hole having its top edge tapered. The neck has a tapered upper portion and a small-diameter portion connected to the bottom of the tapered upper portion to define a shoulder on the bottom. Its cap includes a cap body to be fitted on the neck. The cap body houses a vertically movable plug which can be seated on the tapered top edge of the neck, an elastic member which slides downwardly along the outer surface of the tapered upper portion and fits in the small-diameter portion and engages the shoulder, and a spring biasing the plug downwardly relative to the cap body. The cap body is provided with a disengaging means for disengaging the elastic member from the shoulder.

Abstract: A removable fastener particularly adapted for securing the lid to a pot to prevent spillage of the contents thereof. The fastener includes a first and second clamp member each having a first cross member adapted to engage the pot and a second cross member adapted to engage the lid thereof and an elastomeric strip secured at each end thereof to a respective one of the clamp members.

Abstract: A closure for a canning glass container with a glass cover and a rubber ring therebetween has an upper rim which is formed in the container and provided with a sealing lip with a wedge having a tip with a radius of curvature between 1 mm and 3 mm, a supporting rim formed in the glass cover and having a circular depression located opposite to the wedge and having a radius of curvature exceeding the radius of curvature of the wedge with the wedge and the circular depression extending over an angle of approximately 110.degree.-70.degree., and a projection formed in the glass cover at its side facing toward the canning glass container and provided with a circular outer edge arranged so that it laterally limits the supporting rim of the canning glass container, centers and holds the rubber ring and centers the glass cover in an inner edge of the canning glass container so that relative displacement of the glass cover and the canning glass container which can hinder closing of the latter, is excluded.

Abstract: A canning jar sealing system has a reusable flat transparent glass lid with bosses of unequal diameter raised from its opposite sides. A peripheral flange portion of the lid is supported on the upper edge of a jar rim so that one boss extends into the mouth of the jar. A thin, flat, reusable, elastomeric sealing ring snugly encircles such boss and extends between the lid flange and the jar rim to form an airtight seal when a partial vacuum is created within the jar during the canning process. Each boss has one or more broad indentations along its peripheral edge which become filled by the sealing ring to indicate that the jar is sealed when the partial vacuum develops. A removable spring clip grips a bead or threads on the outside of the jar rim and exerts a downward force against the center of the lid to secure it to the rim of the jar until a seal is created by the partial vacuum.
