Gasket Patents (Class 217/109)
  • Patent number: 10473543
Abstract: A method of making and confirming a fluid connection involves making a fluid connection including, at a female piece side, a female piece, and at a male piece side, a male piece axially inserted into the female piece and a shoulder opposing the female piece. By the fitment of a socket portion of an end attachment over the female piece, a bifurcated claw of the socket portion engages between the female piece and the shoulder. Via the bifurcated claw, a disconnection force is applied between the female piece side and the male piece side by pivoting a torque wrench supporting the end attachment.

  • Patent number: 9617743
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention relate to apparatuses, systems, and methods for constructing and installing architectural walls that are secured to a floor and/or a ceiling and include one or more leveling mechanisms. The leveling mechanisms may allow the architectural wall to be selectively adjusted vertically relative to the floor and/or ceiling so that a horizontal positioning of the wall may be achieved. The leveling mechanisms may also allow the architectural wall to fit securely to a floor and/or ceiling.

  • Patent number: 5892200
Abstract: A transfer port system to allow material to transfer between two dockable sterile environments. Two doors provide access to the sterile environments. A peripheral flange frames one of the doors while another peripheral flange forms the opening to the other sterile environment. Doors connect to one another, when the sterile environments are docked, and then move as a unit into the one sterile environment in order to allow the material transfer. Outer and inner gaskets seal the sterile environments and with the peripheral flanges form an interface between the sterile environments during material transfer. The portions of the gaskets and peripheral flanges that were exposed to the unsterile ambient prior to docking are actively heated in order to maintain sterility during the time when the sterile environments are docked and prior to the time that the doors are moved to the open position. The doors can be connected to one another prior to their opening by vacuum.

  • Patent number: 4301629
Abstract: Disclosed are several embodiments of a water-tight plug which are particularly suitable to close and seal holes drilled through the exterior wall surface of a house or mobile home during installation of insulation materials. The disclosed plugs include fluid-tight sealing means provided adjacent a head of the plug which is sandwiched during plug installation between a surface around the periphery of a hole and the plug head. In addition, the plugs include a projection from the plug head extending into the hole and a means for radially outwardly expanding at least a portion of the projection against the interior periphery of the hole and locking the projection in its radially expanded position to lock the plug in position.
